Intuitive icons are shown for each lighthouse to quickly help you determine if, among other things, a lighthouse is easily accessible, open for climbing, offers overnight accommodations, has appeared in a movie, and if it is reportedly haunted.
A picture and the history of each lighthouse are available without a data connection, but a data connection is needed to view maps and the full gallery of images.
A few lighthouses not built by the federal government, like those on Grand Lake St. Marys in Ohio, are included in the app, but they are not the focus of the app and should be viewed as bonuses. Coverage of lighthouses in Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory, is also included.

My wife and I DON'T like that the app keeps asking permission to access all of our family google accounts! There is no need to access, and we keep denying it, but it keeps sending us requests! This is VERY intrusive and annoying! We live in a cyber world of data and identify theft and these apps can operate without needing your email accounts and access to your personal info. Very dissatisfied and disappointing!
Love the app other than not all lighthouses are listed and twice now when I've upgraded my phone, the app transfers but all my visits disappear.
Great app to have. The only thing thats missing is in the descrpition a mention as to whether the lighthouse is still active.
This app is well developed, and a joy to use. The descriptions, directions, etc. are very informative, and the pictures are super. The only problem I have encountered is when I got a new phone and downloaded the app to that new phone, all the lighthouses I had visited (over 100) were not lit up any longer, and now I have to spend time going back through all the pictures I took and try to find the dates I visited them. I wish the app was backed up via the cloud or some other way to preserve the results so people don't have to try to recreate them.
Absolutely fantastic, everything I was looking for. Great to know there are others who have a passion for lighthouses, and who are willing to put the time and effort to make an incredible app like this!
This ap was exactly what I was looking for! There initially was a feature I was hoping for but they didn't have, so I emailed and got a response right away, and an update was released very soon after with that included! I was floored at how quickly and positively the developer responded. Thanks again!

Incredibly useful.
This is a hands down must have for all three lighthouse livers out there who like to track em down and see them in person. The app designer is top shelf too and has answered every question and put our suggestion into the latest update. I wish I could do a 6th star because that's how awesome this app and support system are.
We take a lighthouse trip for our anniversary and this app is great for instant information on the way.
I guess this is subjective, but I didn't think it was worth paying for. I do appreciate the effort put into this app.
Great info, pictures and directions. Can't in handy in Seattle and Portland. Works be nice if it had, or if users could submit, info like operating hours of that reservations are needed for tours.
Love your app... it's the best and very informative. Both the US and Canadian Lighthouse versions are great!
App crashes any time I try to select a lighthouse from the list on my Nexus 6. I can select it if it shows up in my notifications for a nearby lighthouse, though. App is useless until this is fixed for my device. It seems to work fine for other devices according to the reviews.

I love this app. I am a longtime lighthouse lover and this has every light in the US with details, directions, photos. I can also mark each lighthouse as visited and give a star if it's a favorite. You can also hear historical info as you drive or walk or boat to the lighthouse. Many thanks to the author of this app!!
App is huge at 25mb and can't move to sd???
Have not had much time to play with the app, but from what I have seen, I'm liking it. As a photographer, I love the fact that it tells you the best way to get to the lighthouse, if its open to people, or if its privately owned. I also love the history of lighthouses, and this app has tons of history information on them.
We use the app all the time when we are out going from lighthouse to lighthouse. We've been big fans of there website and this application makes it much easier to view on our mobile devices. If you enjoy visiting lighthouses as much as we do you need to have this app on your phone or tablet.
Will be a great asset during my travel later this year. Photos and coordinates are a real plus.
New version states you can send GPS coordinates to GPS devices. Will not send to my phone, my Smartlink, my Garmin of my Ford Sync. It appears to want to use Google Maps, but when that is opened, it shows my current location. If I close location on my phone, it will show the lighthouse area, but you still have to search in Google Maps for the specific lighthouse location. I am using an,Android.
This is an awesome app so far (haven't used it while traveling yet but for research and adding lighthouses I've been to). One issue though: none of the pictures ever load on my app. I click to look at pictures and get a forever loading icon instead. I'm using a Galaxy S7 Edge on Verizon if that helps. It's running Android 8.0.0 and has all avaliable Verizon updates installed. The app itself is up to date.
