Usb Host Controller
The application does not use the USB Host API, so it can also run on older, 2.3 devices. Because of that however almost all functionality (except for the listing of USB devices) requires root (superuser) access, and a recent version of busybox installed! Also note that on newer Android versions, some security enhancements may also hinder this application to run properly.
The application needs a device that has USB Host (or USB OTG) functionality. Most modern high-end devices have this ability. Check the documentation and specification of your device (this functionality is usually called USB OTG or USB Host)
If your device doesn't have native USB OTG functionality, there are kernel patches for some older devices to enable the functionality, most notably for:
- S5PC210 (Hummingbird) based Samsung phones (Galaxy S, Captivate, Nexus S)
- QSD8250 (Snapdragon) based HTC phones (G1, Nexus One, Desire, Incredible)

This app does nothing to really help get host controll unless you all ready had it! And if you had a rooted Android you wouldn't need this app any way. But its sure a fancy looking app. col 😖
Unfortunately does not work on android 9 or 10 I mean it was only updated in 2018 so hey, Hope's are already low
Asks for updates, none exist. Crashes when going into Usb tab.

I wanted to use afterglow controller with the otg cable. All I get is reset device ? So pressed it and nothing happened. Apart from the fact that there is no instructions I don't know what the he'll this thing is meant to be doing if it isn't a host driver.
I thought this was a file transfer app. I installed it and plugged in a card reader device and the app recognize that there is a device but didn't provide any buttons or any controls or any options on what to do with it. Completely worthless!
This app fixed my usb 3 otg compatibility issues thanks so much I couldn't use peripherals other than a mass storage.
What is up with the please wait message? It looks like it would be working fine otherwise drivers are all there it says usb host controller active. What is wrong? Get at me please! Android 4.1.2? Samsung sph m830
In my case it only identifies the device but it does not add any other funcionality

Am I supposed to run the app when I'm connected? Is that why the, "Please Wait," message won't go away?

Upon opening up the app the first time, I have an infinite "Please wait" message. Fix this.

I was having issues where a usb drive was no longer being recognised by my tv box. No idea why. In desperation I tried this app,hit reset device and it's recognised it again. No idea what was wrong or why this worked, but it did. Saved me a lot of heartache!
This app works like a charm on my Newsmy Newpad P72. It allows me to host things such as a keyboard case, external hard drive, or just about anything with a USB connection. I would highly recommend this app to anyone in need of it.
At least this app can see my USB device. Unfortunately, my file manager can't see my USB device, therefore, I can't transfer my files.
