Works great! I'm using this app on Android 9.0 with a RNX-56USB dialup modem. I also have termux installed, and I use socat to create a virtual device, which I can connect to with minicom. Now I can connect to dialup BBSes with my phone. This app is a lifesaver. Recently rooted my phone, and found that Android's built in pppd is able to establish a full blown internet connection over serial, allowing me to share my internet connection with old computers without USB, WiFi, or Bluetooth.
