This is easily the best app on my phone. It's so useful, the instructions are easy to understand with good visuals. There's interesting info too about the practical use of knots. And the developer is constantly adding awesome features and more knots. 100% worth it, I would pay for this app- but you don't have to. It's free, and the ads aren't intrusive at all. There's nothing to annoy you, and you don't get constantly asked to rate it. 10/10 couldn't be happier :)
This app is must have for anyone really. I had to pull 4 3/0 copper wires through a 2 inch conduit and in a confined space. I was able to continue pulling the wire once it emerged by using a prusik knot and I was absolutely amazed with how well it gripped the wires. Thanks developers, you helped me complete a seemingly impossible task!
This app turned out to be way better than expected. Simple, to the point stuff that's actually useful
I downloaded this app to learn about knots and with the illustrations along with the clear explanation, it's helping me do so. I'm not loving the in app ads though. I also wish the text wasn't bright red because it makes it difficult to read for long periods of time.
amazing work. full details in each knots. but i feel the demonstration pictures can be presented in a better way? it feel a bit odd to have them slide for me. photis could be in better background. very good lighting and clarity though. NO annoying Ads. you could have premium version - with better photos.
-Not enough steps. It explains in 3 steps a whole knot! -Bad photos for steps with low contrast. You cannot see easily how it's made. I'm sure it's worse under direct sunlight. -Not enough knots. I can't understand developing a whole app without proper photos and variety! You did 90% of the hard work and not enough for the actual content?
I dig this app a whole lot. I realize there are pictures but maybe add like a gif or small video showing how it's done and whatnot I learn a lot easier when I can see it done and follow along. Again I realize there are pictures it would just make it smoother trying to learn it.
Pretty good but could do with photos of rope-handling techniques. E.g. the Alpine Butterfly is easy to tie when you wrap it around your hand. Photos of Figure of 8 bend seem to be incorrect.
Presumes some basic knowledge of rope vocabulary the diagrams are easy to follow, and it gives clear advice on the uses and advantages and relative disadvantages of each knot with occasional history and other names for same knot. Nicely organized by types of knots so easy to compare different knots for same purpose like taut line hitches or ways of making a loop.
Incredibly useful app, easy to use and very clear, ads are small banners at the bottom of the screen easily ignored. The fact someone made this for free is great, very good app.
To me the key requirements are CLEAR pics and seeing ALL steps at once. Right now I'm outside in the rain forgetting how to tie a boline and I can't for the life of me see which rope goes over which in these illustrations, the red braided rope makes it almost impossible on my cellphone. Thanks!

Great app with good pictures on step-by-step tying knots. All the knots are in categories so you can quickly look for different purposes easily.
The app has been a good companion but revently ads are taking the place of content. Having content freely available online it is not worth seeing ads or paying for the pro. Good bye knots app.
Extremely happy with this app, only improvement I can think of is an ability to add your own notes to the knots. Would pay for this kind of quality and thoughtfulness.

A VERY useful app that seems to work without internet connection when you are far out in the bushveld. Every outdoors person should have this and practise some essential knots.
I own horses and this app has been super useful. I've learned how to tie new knots that are more effective than my old stand-bys.

Would be a fantastic app if it wasn't full of ads. I would rather pay for an app rather than see annoying ads. Found another app paid for it and uninstalled this one.
Taught me how to tie my shoes (literally) Never had a talent towards knots, but one summer away, out of boredom I downloaded the app and my life just got better. I never coullearn how to tie knots from books or ebmven instruction, but this bad boy got pictures and just enough instructions to both learn from and use as a reference. 10/10 God work
i installed this app with my old phone that was broken a month ago. so now that i have a new phone I am installing it again because I know it is very useful and necessary to have knowledge about this. great app. super easy to learn even for a beginner like me who doesn't know how to tie safe knots!

It's beneficial information on basic knots, but nothing more other than that. It could use a wider variety to show rope harnesses, predicament ties, safety protocols for use on the body as well as other applications.

There are many useful knots to use in everyday life. Use the App to test your knowledge and skills at knot building while blindfolded during a hostage crisis. Camping and backpacking is a lot easier, using these skills available with the App.
