YOU’LL SEE THE THREAT PICTURE See our exclusive Radar Locator with its illuminated arrows pointing toward each threat as the Bogey Counter tracks multiple threats. But now, with V1connection, a wireless Bluetooth® communicator, V1 shows you a revolutionary new way of analyzing radar threats.
ARROW IN THE BOX Radar makers, under penalty of law, must certify to the FCC the frequencies used by the equipment they sell. We constantly monitor those certifications so we know exactly where real radar operates on each band. V1 scans the entire width of all radar bands but to draw your attention to the Active Radar Zones, we outline them with a yellow Box. To be in compliance with federal regulations, all radars (except photo) must operate “in the Box.” When you see an arrow outside the Box, that’s probably a false alarm; when it’s in the Box, take the threat seriously until you’ve positively identified it.
ADVANCED SITUATION AWARENESS The Threat Picture (aka Picture Screen) displays a separate arrow for every threat within range, pointing ahead, beside or behind, according to its direction from your car. The arrows grow larger as the signal strength increases. Your visual scan of the Threat Picture lets you see which arrows are in the Box, and spot critical trends—which alerts are maturing into threats and which are fading in concern.
SITUATION AWARENESS FOUR WAYS Choose among four information screens at any time. New: the Quad Screen emphasizes location with up to four separate arrow sets, one for each enabled radar band, or for laser if fewer bands are active. The V1 Screen reproduces V1’s front-panel warnings including signal strength, Bogey Counter and Radar Locator plus frequency of the Priority Alert. Or you can choose the (Threat) Picture Screen or the Threat List, which shows a list of all signals within range, each with an accompanying arrow to show direction. The list order is arranged according to time tracked, newest signal at the top. A flashing arrow marks the Priority Alert and a yellow “Box” symbol indicates “in the Box.”
BEYOND SITUATION AWARENESS Think of V1connection as the Master Controller for your V1 system. You can revise programming, adjust SAVVY settings, change muting, activate dark mode, save custom programming profiles for different trips, and more, all from your handheld. DEMO MODE IS AUTOMATIC.
NEW PROGRAMMING OPTIONS Radar coverage can now be specially tailored to the unique radar bands used outside the U.S. Advanced users may want to modify the sweeps covering frequencies used here in the U.S. according to unique local conditions. The Profiles screen shows a menu of the variables you can modify. For example, you can select "Background Notifications" so that you can run other apps but receive instant notification from V1 whenever a new threat appears.
THE APP IS FREEJust download this free app. The Demo Mode plays automatically, giving you a look at all four warning screens playing through preloaded on-road scenarios. For further functions, you’ll need to purchase V1connection or V1connection LE to communicate wirelessly with your Valentine One detector.

App Works great right from the start and my phone is a piece of shi@! . No connectivity issues. BT syncs right up to the detector Everytime. So far my only gripe is the color combo makes some of the fonts hard to read like the dismiss message for example. But that's me really going out of my way to complain. My phone sits right in front of my shifter and having the ability to black out the screen on the detector and mute it just by using my phone and not stretching to reach the detector is great
I like the app. I like the bluetooth option. The only thing I don't like Is that the phone and app have to be open or on. For the alerts to fully come in. If the phone idles out you just get a beep. I have music in my car so a short beep sometimes I don't hear. The fact I have to to have it running full time is why I give it 3 stars
Used app for 4 years and it updated 3-16-20 and now I have no arrow or boxes on any swipe screen. No screens to swipe. I have no profiles now. No option to select any of my multiple bluetooth modules. Very disappointed.
Update: After a Week of not connecting to my Samsung Galaxy 10+ my V1G2 finally connected without problem. I don't explain 'em. I just report. 🤪 My smart watch and Bluetooth headphones work at the same time as well. Works fine with a Google Pixel 4.
Downloaded new update for V1gen2 but there is an error in the display. The arrows do not show up in any of the choice screens....just sound and band type only. Please fix. I have an LGv30 with the latest Android version.
V1 Gen 2 on Android app version 4.9 will not get out of demo mode and sync to phone. Will revise if I can get this sorted, GPS and all permission enabled and nothing connected to BT other than this app. I am on Note 10+ with Android 11 os.
Problem: V1connection LE fails to connect to phone. Phone Android Samsung S8+ Problem possibly caused by Android update. Go to "Settings" "Connections" "Data Usage" Turn Data Saver off. Connection from V1connection LE now good.
Works as intended. I lost arrows and ability to swipe through screens after last update, deleting application data and cache restored both.
Paired with my V1 Gen 2 quickly, looks good so far. One request, please change the name of the app. Including "the app" in the name of the app looks really silly and yeah, it's the app...on my phone.
What happened?? I've been using this app since 2015 and loved it..Did the last update on 3/16/20 and this caused me to lose the boxes and arrows.. Please fix..
Doesn't work on Android phones. Will not connect, called V1 and they told me it could take up to 24 hours to connect. What a Joke!
Trying to do the latest upgrade and it won't work. I have a Galaxy S10+ and I'm stick in demo mode too.
Stuck in Demo mode on Samsung Note 8. Can't get out of it. Not user friendly at all.
The app is really, really improved now, thank you. It works really well with the V1 Gen2.

App not connecting on my S21 ultra and only goes into demo mode. Please update this app. It's worthless at this point.
Really love this detector, already has saved me a handful of tickets in the small amount of driving I've done.
The gen2 is the best protection night or day and I don't worry about getting clocked . Thanks Valentine research. I've had a few different detectors and hands down the Valentine company is the leading manufacturer. Thanks Valentine research

Demo needs improvement. The demo dialog at the bottom of the screen doesn't always match what is displayed. For example, if you are on the home screen, the dialog "...in the box.." doesn't apply, since no "boxes" are displayed on that screen. Also, the demo runs a little too fast. A "Next" button would be helpful.
