VA Launchpad

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Launchpad helps Veterans and their Caregivers find and use VA apps. The VA Launchpad organizes VA apps and capabilities to help you more easily find the tools VA has made available for you. Links to new apps automatically appear in the VA Launchpad when they become available, making it simpler to find the resources needed to interact with VA. You can also provide feedback directly to VA within VA Launchpad. With VA Launchpad, VA intends to help you discover and integrate available VA apps into your life.

Both native app and web app links are accessible in the VA Launchpad. Native apps are available for download through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once you download a native app, you can open it directly from your device or from the VA Launchpad. Web apps will open and run in your device’s browser.

Apps you open from the VA Launchpad that access your Electronic Health Record (EHR) will require you to log in. These apps have a padlock symbol to indicate that credentials are required.

With VA Launchpad, you can access apps within these categories:
- Manage my health
- Communicate with my care team
- Share my vital health information with my care team
- Improve my mental health
- Improve my life

it is useful in that it consolidates the various links for the VA in one place, but it really isn't anything more than that; it doesn't add more functionality than just independently visiting the links in your browser. When clicked, those links just open in a browser. The VA needs to modernize and streamline its disparate structure and employ developers to create more immersive native apps, like myChart.

The app crashes every time I try to use it and installed adds that pop up over the top of messages and others apps and each time you unlock the phone. These adds are draining my battery and making my phone hot. Uninstalling the app does not remove the adds and there does not appear to be a way to remove them. I had to do a factory reset to remove the veterans adds and then reinstall the few apps I do want to use.

If only all the apps themselves worked. I selected VA Refill, Sync My Health and both have issues. In the case of Sync My Health - it's only for invited users. How annoying - a useful tool anyone might want to have and it's not well advertised as unavailable. The VA Refill appears to not work at all for me. I'm using Android v9, Note 8 and very tech savvy. I really like the concept of this app. Just hate being teased by apps I want and then finding out not available or does not work.

Just an app to make you download other apps. All of these should be gathered on just one application but that's how the government works, because it's the same on computer, you have to use 4 different ways to log in taking you to 4 different pages instead of being direct to he point. With all these different ways to log in there are a lot of problems and you end up not being able to get anywhere and frustrated. On pc is the same.

This app is just a site redirector. Everything in it redirects you to the website equivalent. Worst of all, it's pretty broken at this time and most of the redirects send you to wrong or blank sites (if the link action even works). Poor design and function leave little hope for an actually for functional tool to navigate the VA Health System any time soon.

It is technically an app, but so is the email and browser I already have and know how to use. I did not need another app to take me into those apps. In fact, the only reason I installed this was the hope that I would have a more direct way to use secure messaging. This only adds one more layer.

It shouldn't have been released or advertised as is. Anyone that can download an app can already do what it already does: it bookmarks useful pages. If I could log in and do all of the mobile options from MyHealtheVet it'd be great, if it didn't just point to apps that don't even exist (chat, Annie, etc.) then it'd be useful. It is, therefore, not useful. Who at the VA is getting conned into paying for this?

Computer-available appoints NOT shown, won't make appts, I AM shown as logged in to MY 'preferred' acct, Phone-app just won't share any info nor communicate with VA-Wilkes-Barre, PA. Sounds good for a work-in-progress, but pretends it's already complete,i when it isn't.

Useless, the app just has links to install other apps. On some of the links it just opens them in a smaller window within the app. The MyHealthyVet web site is so much better and easier to navigate.

I was able to connect to video chat website and i could see myself and hear the message. Now im set for video appointments. This app should be advertised to all veterans so they can do the same. Oh, i didnt have to use the internet either, just the phone data.

Just a master link to other features. I had my first video conference today but it was on the iPad with VAvideoConnect. It just means this has only been fully developed for iOS and not Android at this stage. Disappointing but that's because the federal government sold out to iOS a few years ago.

Was excited the VA might have built a real app with messaging, appointment scheduling and prescription refills. Instead it's a glorified bookmark app. Save your time and go directly to the sites.

App didnt work on my phone. Thought it was some compatibility issue, so I installed it on my tablet. Didnt work on my tablet either. Just shows me a welcome screen for the app, but nothing else to go to. Needs a lot of work.

I was scheduled for a phone appointment. The nurse told me that they wanted for it to be a visual meeting. She told me to set up an app, VA Launch. They wanted me to set up another app,VA Connect.Typical of the military, they wouldn't let me sign in.So,I made the appointment the old fashioned way,a basic phone call. And,I dumped both,VA Launch, and VA Connect.

Trying to use MyHealtheVet login (on VA launchpad) or the standalone pharmacy launcher . App times out and never gives option to enter user name or password. Used to work fine now it's completely broken. Can't order my meds. Unhappy!

Worst app ever. Refers to apps via web browsers but not within app. Might as well have it all built in instead of having to refer to other apps. VA video chat is not even built in let alone there is no android app. Says click for android to download then redirects you to another link saying you can do it in browser. Apple has a app but not android users. It's made complicated and not easy for veterans. I doubt if the VA cares to listen us Veterans.

It has only helped my clog my storage on my phone. Save yourself the time and the free space on your phone. I can't think of any scenarios where it is imperative to your health for you to need to download this waste of space. Your time should be spent enjoying the ride of life.

App sucks......the only app that works is the VA Refill app. This Launch app doesn't even get me there, I have to use the apps separately. This is stupid, there's no reason all the sites, help, health, rx, we need cannot be accessed by 1 application. Separating them like this just makes it harder.

Not at all intuitive. Takes too long to find what you want. Easier using browser.

Mel. D. Feb 11, 2020

I use the APP whenever I have need and have not been disappointed yet. I think, anything that cuts the amount of time to get HELP for VETS is a great idea.

Cas. R. Jun 3, 2020

This I see just a page it doesnt do anything, that clicking on the link the VA sends you cant do. The actual video is complete garbage, the VA has been doing great things but this needs to be addressed.

There is nothing wrong with this app at all. Yes it is only a directory why does that bother people. It saves from searching the web. Your getting basically free medical for life and get some of best care available. I know people paying $2000 @ month that would be ecstatic to only have to press a few more keys. Unbelievable reactions. Try signing up for Obama Care and see what that cost a month and the hoops you have to jump through for that. 🙄 If you have a bad medical history your denied. 😫

Kos. Sep 17, 2020

What's so bad about it? It takes you to the VA services you actually want! I like it and it works for me. By the way not everyone is that tech savy. At leasr it is very user friendly, easy to understand and it works in its full form.

Joh. F. Jul 22, 2019

The description says you can refill prescriptions through this app, but I can't find anywhere in the app to do it. Searching "refill" and "prescription" in the app returns no results. Am I missing something?

D.H. S. Aug 16, 2019

Utter Garbage simply takes you to various websites that you have to log into. they had the chance to make something profound and chose to make something from circa 2006.

Pau. V. May 21, 2020

I think to have the ability to have all the apps in one spot makes it easy to start the process and to navigate your data thank you

Dav. T. Jun 21, 2019

Not useful. Just launches the browser. Missing the option to opt out of usage tracking.

Cap. J. Aug 22, 2019

Don't Download. App that just redirects you to browser version. Not useful. Might as well just use My Health eVet. Wow who thought this was actually a good idea!!??!!

Rya. D. Nov 6, 2019

Just links to other things, doesnt give any access to the VA system or appointments. Feels like this was made without any real help or money put into this. Looks like someone volunteered to just work on it for free

Den. C. Aug 22, 2019

This app is useless. Well, I guess if you're looking for useless information then you'd like it. What a waste of time. How about an app where veterans can order their prescriptions through it? At least that would actually serve a purpose.
