Valiant Hearts The Great War

Everything about this game is phenomenal.... EXCEPT the fact that there aren't multiple controls for different actions. I'm so immersed in the story yet can't get past one certain part due to the controls. You need to perform two actions at once to pass many parts. Almost impossible when both actions occur from the same finger movement on the screen. Then when you do make it through part of it and die, you start back at the very beginning of that scene. Infuriating. It's truly a shame because I purchased the entire game yet won't be able to complete it. The story is wonderful, however the tedious survival scenes required to further your progress need some sort of skip option.

Pro's: It's nice to play. It's based on real events. The animation reminds me of an animated film. The graphics are not the best but they do fit the game. Con's: 1 episode costs £2.99, that's a total of £12. (There is an option to purchase all episodes for a reduced price but you only get the one chance to do it, once you purchase the first episode you never see the deal again). The touch controls are delicate. The gamepad controls are erratic and do not correspond with the buttons.

Amazing game!!! Top top class with the story line, based on a real time line, with stunning drawing, perfect settings with the music etc. Two things that be made better: 1. A bit more difficult puzzles. 2. It's disconnecting a lot, so I have to log in a again over and over. (It's not my WiFi that's faulty). Please, please make more gamez like this, e.g. from the American civil war, the Revolutionary war and the Second world war.

Progress is not being saved. Redmi 9 pro resolution is not supported. It's a pity this game doesn't work on my android, I'll play on PC. Update: actually progress is being saved. Fixed resolution by 3rd party program. Game is still buggy. After each episode I've got to restart the game because in the middle of the screen appear black shades of items I can find on the level. After restart it's gone but appears again on next level.

Could only use the game until the main screen. After that, it just kept crashing. Please fix it. I've watched a whole walkthrough of this and it easily became one of my most favorite games. It was really touching and I think it's the 1st time a game could impact me that much. Don't let this masterpiece be wasted by crashes on mobile. Looks like even many good phones can't run this at all

Best mobile game ever. If you don't have this game, you've never played a true game before. However I think the xbox one edition is the optimal way to play this game because it just has better graphics, physical controls, and the full version right out of the box. But definitely a must-have for anyone who plays games on their phone or plays games in general

This would be an excellent game if only the ones who designed the controls did their job well. The controls are terrible (Android), instead of using double click they use sliding, with random outcome. It is very unclear how to control the character. Why, why I bought all the chapters without even trying it??

I bought the full game a long while ago, went back to replay it today, and it's broken. It downloaded a huge update (500mb at least), asked for all my Google Gaming account permissions again, and now wont progress past the title screen. Emailed the developer and no response yet. Real pity, because it's an amazing story with a lot of unique challenges for this kind of puzzle game.

An amazing experience. Playing this game is like an interactive experience with the film Saving Private Ryan. It lay bare the brutal cost of wars. The interaction deepen the player's connections with the story and its many playable characters. While it's not a hard game, your characters will die many times over. Apart from showing how easily you can lose your life during combat, it also reminds the player of the many lives lost and changed as a consequence of wars. We remember.

Edit: BLACK SCREEN FIX: "Settings->Developer options-> Disable HW overlays" The game still looses 2 stars for having to mess with dev settings and for not supporting taller aspect ratios (cropping instead of using black bars and having menus visible in the center of the screen) Can't believe I'm rating Valiant effin Hearts a 1/5, but here we are... The game is beyond broken on current versions of android and hasn't been updated since 2015... Such a shame, really, since the game is phenomenal!

DON'T BUY GAME, GREAT GAME BUT... The game is really good, with a great story, music and art design. But is no longer functional on newer verions of Android (at least). The last update was in 2015. Ubisoft should probably take this game off the market if they've stopped supporting it. Btw the first few chapters are free but their is a one time payment for the rest of the game. I would advise that you buy the game on PC from somewhere like steam, it's well worth playing and it will run on any PC.

I am so disappointed. my friend had this for PC, and I was so excited when I saw it on here. It does not show anything except the black screen less I try to exit it, at which time the picture come up for the pause menu. 8$ down the drain. I should have known better than to ever get something from Ubisoft again.

I'll give this a five star because of the gameplay I've seen and I know it's a very good game, but unfortunately, my game crashes every time I try to launch it, but I think it's just my phone, but I know that Ubisoft made yet again another fantastic game. I really would like to play it one day, but it is a really good ww1 game, but just looking at the trailer I could tell that the story is amazing. Well done Ubisoft, you made another great game! :]

When I initially downloaded this app, it booted to the main menu. However, once I made the in-app purchase to unlock the rest of the game, it showed the intro animation with the developer logo, and then stayed on the black screen. When I asked for a refund from Google Play support, I got the runaround. They told me to contact Ubisoft, which I did, and Ubisoft said that they did not have the means to provide refunds for purchases on the Google Play Store.

Great story telling, beautiful artwork, educational too. Edit: having now completed the game I wish I could assign more than 5 stars. This is hands down the best phone game I have ever played! The ending really moved me! the whole story was fantastic throughout! This was money well spent! Thank you to everyone who made this game! 😊

I know this is a great app and i wanted to play it on my phone, but when i opened it, it said that the app is build fo an older version of android. I clicked OK and after a few seconds it crashed. This happened severals times. I would gladly give 5 stars but you need to repair it.

Completely Unplayable on Xperia XZ2. Game installs and attempts to load then just sits at a black screen. Pressing back, or on an area of the screen, will show a screen briefly but then it becomes black again. XZ2 users avoid until this is fixed. Shame, it's a great game.

I really wanna give this game a good score, but I cant even play it. The app opens to your "valient hearts" opening screen with the piano music and the characters and nothing happens. I tap the screen and nothing. The piano just keeps playing. Im on a Galaxy s10.

One of the best games I have ever played!! This story toiched me in ways few games have and ever could. Not only do you learn history and learn what life was like for the soldiers, you get to get connected with them too. This is also one of the few games series I can come back to and enjoy again and again. I would recommend this game to everyone! If you are still iffy about it, just watch the beginning on youtube and see the joy this game brings them. I would personally recommend watching Cryotic

Great story behind and and really fun gameplay and puzzles. The art style is fantastic and the controls are pretty good. Hands down one of the best war games I've ever played and it might be a bit of a download wait but it is definitely worth it.

Absolutely fantastic game, however, I'm giving it a one star because it takes nearly an hour to get out of the loading screen, and once it does, you play the first episode once, then you have to buy the others. It never informed me that I would have to do that. You can't even play the first episode again! Other than that, it's a great game,with no ads. Please could you fix the mentioned mistake by informing people before they download it?

Great i love the content based on ww1 based on different backgrounds during the war like Canadian soilders and British and French and Prussian soilders i also like how this is based on 4 specific people during the war that where real. But their is a problem with the game i download it then it crashes when i start to play so i try everything i can dosen't work other then that the game is great

This game is excellent like omg. I really don't give 5 or 4 star to any game if it's not truly great. This game is very touching with a great atmosphere of war and the graphics are really good. The art style of this game is very unique and diverse. The story is top notch 👌. The four characters are also great . Each one has a unique skill and personality. U should really play and I paid for this game happily. Am sure u won't regret paying for this game. If there is a part 2 am ready to pay 😄.

Everytime i try to go into the game it insatntly crashes and when its really a waste of money when you restore purchases because the game is keeping your money and you dont get it back and you lose all your stuff at least for me, Please just fix the crashes.

I originally played this in 2014 upon release absolutely! enjoyed the game when I saw it come here I picked it up again. The story telling and just the emphasis that this was a labor of love are apparent in it's very writing highly recommend people to play. Very sad story to I came to really enjoy the characters and was sad when it ended left the same kind of empty. Feeling in me just like the story in Witcher 3 you are so let down it is over.

A very poor port. Gives warning that is was developed for lower version of Android and I am using Android 11. Anyways, I took risk and download additional files and the app can't even make it past the Ubisoft logo. Either fix the game or don't show it as compatible to unsupported devices.

Loved this game in PC, but I can't play it on mobile, once the game loads the Ubisoft screen, the Google profile appears and suddenly closes. Clearing data doesn't work also, I think is not compatible with my Poco X3 pro.
