Overall the game is fun and provides deep immersion. Quality anime graphics and easy gameplay. One issue to consider is If a phone has run out of storage capacity. It forces transfer of data to third party platforms. This is an inefficient and sometimes bumpy transition due to ISP, SNS or service provider. What ever the reason this is insufficient going forward. Another solution is needed. Should a solution be found that addresses this issue I will revise my rating of this game.
Will be missed! This game became apart of my nightly routine. I love the artwork. They did mess with the game mechanics quite a bit and nerfed my 50+ XLR cards but at least it made it more consistent, I guess. I hope there is a away to enable a gallery mode. Or a way to get all that awesome art to be put on display. It would be a shame if it were lost as a result of this shutdown. It Was fun and I have a lot of interesting memories. This was my first game I spent money for premium currency in!
Version 7 is here, I've decided to pay a visit after few months of not playing to look what new things we've got. One thing that i noticed right away, the devs actually decided to sell runes, map pieces or whatever you call it for a 100 crystals each. Meaning you don't need to actually play the stage for a chance to get this pieces, you can just buy it! Amazing! Good work devs! The next thing we're going to need is the ability to get certain spot in rank without any effort simply by paying.
Great game all around it's been out for years but they somehow keep it interesting. They also did a good job making it playable without having to spend actual money. Only complaint is that it occasionally freezes up and crashes for no apparent reason. It's rare and only happens in upgrade screens not live gameplay tho. The beginners bufs and walkthroughs are pretty good too and make it easy to get in to that game fast. Enough variation in artwork styles to keep things different and new too.
I love this game, the cards are beautiful, the kingdoms are fun to build, the events are amazing (though sometimes brutal to get through), everything works together in a crazy good way. However, 1 small issue atm. I was planning to move my save over to a different device using fb, but no matter what I do the game wont allow me to connect, hope this is an easy to fix bug.
With the announcement of Valkyrie Crusades end, I'll give one final overall review. Despite some major drawbacks here and there, this game has been a phenomenal experience in its 8 years. The art has always been beautiful, the card collection system is magnificent, and the grind to get new cards was always enjoyable. While I'm unsure about now because of its state, I can say in the past the dev's cared A LOT about this game. I wish them the best and I'm thankful for the memories.
Bad UX with lots of buttons and texts scattered all over the screen. The combat is done in one of the most dullest ways - only flat images of cards with no animation whatsoever are just flapping around hitting each other. Heck, it doesn't even have proper sound effects for combat. Can't believe this game has lasted this long time. Well, it ends now.
The game is great. I just hate how my game crashes sometimes. The art of the characters are amazing i love them so much. The music is nice. The gameplay is easy and simple. The building is also simple but the resources are hard sometimes cuz gathering takes too long but thankfully you can find some durring "Battle" and completing/claiming quests.
Been playing this game since 2015 and all I can say is its been fun playing this game. Even though it became stale after a few years and the change in battle system a few months prior nerfed a lot of my cards including my XLRs and GLRs, I will still occasionally log in to this app from time to time. I love the art of the cards as well as the music. Seeing this game end saddens me but all good things must come to an end. I will always have fond memories of playing this game.
Played this for a really long time. Around SR top rarity period til GLR. It requires an enormous amount of time to build appropriate decks for each type of event, especially element specific ones. Without it, you will find difficulty ranking and getting cards you desire. So it's much like.. the beginning is hard, as you play more it gets slightly easier, until end game phase, where you are more modifying your huge amount of cards to suit new events. Can P(ALOT)2W if you want to save time.
Very frustrating to find after playing this game on and off for the past four years and building up my progress that the developers decide to change how accounts and transferred, using an honestly outdated and convoluted system of data transfer. I'm hoping support can help, but still, very disappointing that it has come to the in the first place even the system they had in the first place was perfect.
Nice and really beautiful game actually, especially those design characters. But too bad, for veteran who have played this game for a very long time, it began to feel bored. First, it kinda lacks of voice acting which suppose to be one of the must have in current gen anime style games for mobile. Also if the devs can add more different event, it will help this game become more addictive instead of just looping the same event. Last, at least add 6 to 10 cards which is super mega rare to get.
I would LOVE to give it 5 stars because if my original experience. I sadly lost my old account but I decided to get back into it cuz I do really like the game or are you still at least I still kind of do but the changes have been really pay-to-win and it used to not be like that. I still like the collection aspect and all that but some of the witches are really hard now because you have to have LR or higher and it just doesn't seem fair any more like it used to be please change it back.
Don't get me wrong - the game is AWESOME. But why do I rate it 3 stars? It's because I am having trouble with the Boss Battle of each Campaign Stage. It loads way too long, which (kind of) forces me to go back to my homescreen and rerun the game again. I was just quite annoyed by that, I don't think that was my phone though (because Fate Grand Order runs very smoothly). Well, that's all. Good job though, devs.
They really improved on the way the game is played. It is now more f2p friendly and they listened to our feedback. Would be better if there is a more elaborate details about the game on a guide book ( like perfect evo, amalgamation, etc ). But they are improving the game. The only recent problems is the server connection issue and maybe that's because they're trying to change new stuff here(normally, there won't be any server problems for long period of time, can be months)
So. One of the best anime tcg's ive played so far, when the first time I saw the art style I was like, fk.. But when you start playing you start to forget. The only downside that still bothers me a lot is the menu and slight art style of the HP and the menu text. If you manage to make the style of the menu text and the rest it would be the most easy 5 star for me to say at the least.
The new update ruined it for me. I was a very good player but the new battle system has me confused beyond measure. Even my strongest GLR's and XLR's do nothing. The single VR i got also does nothing. I've been playing for SUCH a long time but I get no motive to go on and do events now, especially since this revamp. Its almost impossibly hard to play and the turn limit is ridiculous. Please change it back to the old Valkyrie Crusade I used to play often!
Great game, great community, funny story, sad to let it end this way. Played since March 2015 for 3 years without missed a day of login. Just came back to see it's closing, I guess since they introduced the XLR, changed the points, damage calculations, and having higher ranking requirements that ended the game. I will miss this game and my alliance members as well. It was a fun journey.
An awesome game would love to see it back at some compasity,(stand alone or something) would be willing to purchase the game if there was a way to make it able to keep it running without ending it.
I played this game way back when it first launched (probably in 2013?) I was in my last year of middle school or whatever. Anyways not my point BUT... So I had a profile with a very high score and at level 130. Somewhere in a update awhile back it lost my whole profile that I worked 3 hard years on :/ had to restart and worked my way back up eventually. And guess WHAT? it did it again. Its like this game despises hard work and loyalty 😒 it lost me after that time.
I really love this game but I agree with other players when they say its a pay to win game. The purple gems really dont have a purpose other than upgrading special card or hunts which take hours before you get anything, I hope the developer creates a booster for the hunting time (like the time reduction rewards to building/upgrading structures) that can be earned as a reward through campaigns. I hate waiting 12 hours for the hunt and the amount of jewels it takes to clear it is unreasonable.
(HAS LEARNING CURVE) All in all I find it very fun. Frequent updates add new cards and even machnecs. There's almost always an event going on as well. The premium currency doesn't feel required for casual play but it is tied to items that restore plays so it is infact pay to win but with that mindset getting ranked is still easy even without using items you should be able to get at least <5k. The only thing that bothers me is waiting for structures to finish building some can take weeks to fin.
Extremely fun game that balances its different game modes, and some rudimentary city building, excellently. However it is very easy to lose your progress. End of Service update: I'll miss this game. Amazing that it lasted eight years. Congratulations to you Mynet, and best of luck with your future endevours.
Okay. Nice game. But could you -please- fix the bugs that make it freeze like, once every 10 minutes? It just happened now, 2 times in one minute after I restarted it. Besides that, the artworks are cool and so is the gameplay...
