ACCESSValley First is a division of First West Credit Union. Access is available to all members who currently use our online banking service. If you're not a First West Credit Union member, no problem—simply contact any Valley First division branch to set up a new membership and you'll be set up with access right away. To login, you'll need your MemberCard Number and your Personal Access Code (PAC).

PERMISSIONSIn order to use the Valley First app, you'll need to grant our app permission to access certain functions on your mobile phone, including:


• Full network access – Allows our app to connect to the Internet.
• Approximate location – Find our nearest branch or 'ding-free' ATM by allowing our app to access your phone's GPS.
• Take pictures and videos – Deposit cheques using Deposit Anywhere™ right from your mobile phone by allowing our app access to your phone camera.
• Access to your phone contacts – Get the utmost in convenience by allowing our app to access your list of contacts, that way you can send an Interac® e-Transfer to someone on your contact list without manually setting them up as a recipient in mobile banking.

Depending on your operating system, these permissions may be worded differently on your Android™ phone.

Overall pretty ok. One thing that truly annoys me: when sending an e-transfer, the only way to give the transfer a password is by editing the recipient. You can't even tell the recipient "oh just use the pw from last time" cuz if you forgot what that was, you can't even look it up. Make the setting of the pw part of the transfer setup, not part of the recipient setup!

The last app was way better. I no longer can search for transactions?! What?? That is a major issue for me. Why would you regress in functions from the last app?? **Thanks for the response but that does not help me. I used to be able to search history, say for a specific e-transfer from a specific client. I am a small business and this just isn't going to cut it anymore. Year end is here and thanks to this it will take way way longer. This app stinks...

I'm having a lot of issues with the app recently. It either crashes on me or won't let me log in and gives an error. I find I often have to close and restart the app multiple times before it will work.

New app is a pain in the... ! I don't have internet or wifi. Now that I spent an hour on the phone trying to download new app I ended up having to go to the bank for help! Now I try opening the app and it says I must be connected to internet. Back to the bank. Why fix something that worked great 👍. This new app has turned into a nightmare 🤔

There is no way for me to log in. Have had a ticket open with the developers for a few months. They deemed the Motorola Edge 2021 is an unsupported device. Funny, the old app worked just fine. New app, I have to give 1 star

Overall, the app is good. One pet peeve I have is that in the scheduler for payments and transfers does not have an option for biweekly schedules, only weekly or monthly. As I get paid biweekly, I would prefer to have that option for my transfers to my savings.

Slower and more cumbersome to use than the previous app. Why try to fix what isn't broken? Pages take longer to load, cannot see account balances when about to transfer from one account to another without going to the select account page (used to be able to see how much was in the To and From acts respectively when on the main transfer page), cannot see remaining act balances right after the transfer, why are so many features removed? Security is great, but at least try to keep functionality.

Im so sick of valley first totally abandoning their apps to release new ones instead of just updating the damn things. Forces users to install a totally different app and uninstall the old. And in the process features are removed making for an over all worse experience. Absolute garbage. Wish I could rate it lower.

It's a good app everything is clear to see , but this upgrade needs fixing as in everytime I click to open the app it tells me I need too upgrade, when I have and it sends me to the store and then I can open the App !!

super frustrated with this app. it constantly crashes and wont let me set mobile pay it just keeps giving me an error code. this has been happening for over 2 weeks. also 50% of the time when I sign in it says my password was entered in wrong, it wasnt but ok. these problems need to be fixed it should not take this long to fix these issue. I have contacted the company through email and was told these are known issues but they have no timeline on when it will be fixed.

The app has features that do not work, like scheduling e-transfers. Also I cannot seem to set which bank account appears first. There are a few other problems like this and it can slow down or malfunction from time to time, but free chequing is good.

I am so frustrated with this app. Couldn't do a etransfer anymore and app told to update it, did that. Still wouldn't work. Uninstalled the App...reinstalled and it still wont work. The whole point for the app to me is do do instant etransfers. I can't even use the "contact us" button, that also isnt working.

I used to be quite pleased with the app, even though it didn't have the feature to log in via biometrics. However, now it keeps deleting my saved login info! Having to re-enter my lengthy card information when in I'm out and about or in a time crunch renders the app unusable in that situation. PLEASE fix this bug!

Love the app but its very frustrating it doesnt self update. It stopped working because it said it needs updating. It refered me here, yet says installed and there is no update choice. I guess I will have to uninstall it and reinstall it. This happened last time to. I guess it will happen every new up date. What a bother.

I would rate this app higher but it's never been smooth since android pie install. And now constantly crashes (even when not using) on my S10. please fix. I've tried uninstalling reinstalling to no avail. super annoying message pops up at most inopportune times! I'm literally thinking of changing banks

This app. is quite useless on my phone and my tablet. The website just times out on my PC. I emailed the company and it was suggested that all of the problems on three different playforms were ALL my issues and not the banks'. I'm sick of this. Fix it or lose more customers! I've uninstalled the app and will close my account. You are dropping the ball Valley First!

The app used to work fine but now the ability to quick display your account balances on the header has disappeared. You now must login everytime to display your balance which isn't really hard to do but it's frustrating when you just want to take a quick glance.
