VanAlert
The main purpose of this app is to help recover stolen Vanagons. We have a REPORT STOLEN VAN feature which in case your van is stolen, you fill out the form with your vehicle's information and a photo. Once we receive it we put out a PUSH NOTIFICATION to all VanAlert users/Vanagon owners. This helps get the community involved in helping locate your Van, they'll be notified with all of the information you provided.
Repair Shop Database
We have a database of reputable repair shops that know how to work on these classic vehicles. Say for instance, if you break down, simply open the VanAlert app and click on the Repair Shops icon. A listing of crowdsourced repair shops that other Vanagon/Bus owners have used and recommend that are in the area will show up based on your current GPS location. All of the contact info is there at your fingertips.
Event Calendar
A nationwide VW Event Calendar is available that'll list every VW Event within your area so there is no stressing out over missing one. These are also crowd sourced by attendees and event organizers.

Great app to keep in touch with other vans and their people.
This app is great for us Westy owners. Seems to work fine on my Android, I had heard there was some problems with Androids earlier but it seems to work good now. I have used this a few times when I got stuck and got really nice results.
Great VW Bus and Vanagon community app! Sometimes slow on my android but always works. Awesome resource always being updated, by both positive and negative reviews by the VW community. Word gets out. Good quick fix on anything BUS. Driveway hosts, I have not used it or hosted yet(excited to host my first traveller) but seems like a great fundamental resource for anyone traveling. Would definitely recommend if you own a VW Bus for advice, repairs, community, conversations, and pictures!
App freezes and won't open about 60% of attempts. Also never gives the most recent content with out refreshing first.
Fantastic. Broke down in the middle of the country, middle of winter, loaded up the app and BOOM! Found d a local shop. Great app and thankful to have it! Get it and dont regret it!

Awesome source of information for vanagon/westy owners. It doesn't refresh automatically but other than that i feel like with time it will hopefully get there

The map view for both Bus Repair and Camping doesn't work on Android.
New update is very bad No search on driveway host and definitely wrong map view

Really good resource. I'm sure it will even to users needs so it depends what you are looking h for. Van alert is a fantastic platform for help, (we used it when we blew an engine in Wisconsin) drive stops etc and it seems to be growing. Thank you Abel for taking the time to develop this.
Apparently it works better on an iphone. I really liked it better a few months ago, but with the newest update itnis capable of alot more. My wife uses it on her iphone and can do alot more with it than I can on my android. But I am still going to rate it 5 stars because there is no other app that does anything remotely close to what this app does. It is very valuable when traveling in a VW Bus or Vanagon. The more people that get on it, will pnly make the community within the app better. I am hoping future updates will make it better for android. I wish it had the old layout with all the new features. The old layout seemed way more intuitive. It seems like I can't use the app as easily now, so my wife just uses it on her iphone.
As a van owner, I appreciate the resources for maintenance, driveway stays and theft alerts. And the option to post pics is great.
Hate that scrolling thru alphabetical Listings that take forever if your state begins begins with "O" instead of A or C. Took so long, I gave up before I could get thru the C listings.
This app is supposed to help VW van owners chat and help eachother in a community style way. The app is slow, and also won't let me add known repair shops to the directory. (This is the main reason I got this app, in case I was on a trip and needed emergency repairs.) Waste of my time. I can get more done without this app.

Great app for places to Go, how to do it and where to get repairs. Good stories sometimes too. Oh and I drive a Westy Eurovan Weekender and we are allowed too? I need to post more.
