The Vancouver Trails App is free to use and all trail information is available for online users. Many trails do not have cellular phone service, so Offline Maps can be downloaded for $1.39 and taken on your hike without the requirement of being online.

Great, but could use some fine-tuning: When searching for trails by inputting filters (i.e. region, sorted by difficulty) and selecting a trail, it doesn't let me go back to the sorted list so I have to start my search all over again ☹️. Otherwise, has a ton of info and I like the downloadable trail info!
Hate the ads, can't login and save your favourites. It's also very slow. Great for a one time look up and that's it. The interface and map for the trails is better than alltrails but without the additional functions it's useless.
I think the first thing you should see when you open a trails app is a map of the trails near your location. I cant see any way of doing this. Having a list of trails is fine but you have to select each one to see the map. I dont like that. But thank you for the free app!
This app is broken and should be taken down. Ive purchase a trail and have no acces to it. Blank screen for most of the time No button is working. The only working part is super annoying popup with with review request. No map loading. Would like to get my money back.
Good information on hikes, but don't expect more than essentially a PDF with a couple of photos. Improved search and filtering systems would be welcome in future iterations as well.
just like the website but with a lot of ads. When you click "download trail map" get redirected to download app. have to click download at the bottom of the screen to BUY the map. Not useful.
When I do a search, I get my results. once I go into my results and choose a hike, the problem starts. once I CLOSE the hike I was just looking at, I have to reenter my search again. every single time. help!
Full of ads, slips to another page instead of the one you want. Sucks you in for being free but then wants payment. There's better trail apps out there for sure
Website is better. You can't even click on "read more" in the trail description, nothing happens... Also lots of obnoxious ads and they want to charge over $1.50 to download a map. Really?
what a wonky/buggy app. trying to find trails, a page opens up telling me to download the app while already in the app. take notes from trail forks to see how its done. oh wait i have to pay for each trail track, lol, nah.
The app has great information - only three stars because if you click the back button, any filters you applied are lost and you need to reapply them to the list of trails.
full of ad's, doesn't let you look at the trail maps unless you pay the money to download it then it goes to 100% then doesn't work.
This app is just like the mobile website with more advertising, it even has the address bar on top blanked out white. Also all maps are paid.
it would be great if when you chose a region and then looked a trail and went back that it saved your region selection. thank you
Way too many advertisements. So distracting and made it difficult to find the info I actually wanted. Deleted and will use mobile site instead.
Downloaded app immediately Opened up to rental ads. Got passed the ads, onto site which then referred me back to app purchase. Sorry, no cigar on this one.
Way too many ads and the app has locked up my phone twice. Needs lots of work. Uninstalling it.
This app is a joke. Search doesn't work at all as it returns stuff from the web... Tons of annoying ads...
Found this App very usefull, on my Vacation, a good selection of walks, to suit most levels, from east to hard.
As mentioned by other users, it's a nice idea but the walls of ads really make app not worth the effort to use.
Thought it was 1.50 to be able to download all trails. Per map? That's terrible.
glitchy, search button doesn't work on my samsung s7. At the current moment it's only in a 'ok' state
Great information about all the trails.We have just started hiking as a family and being new to the country it is an awesome tool to plan.We have been on 2 hikes till now n both successful .
Tried to download the one free map to take with me on a hike and it crashed part way through.
Just a money grab for the trail maps. Stick with the website because thats almost 100% what the app is
why do I have to download this app to view the trails and when I download it, it looks exactly like the website but slower?

If you like adds and popups, this is the app for you. Sort of hard to get to all of the content thru all the adds. Hats of to the designer though, as I am not sure I have ever seen an app that puts so many adds and pop ups at one time and still calls itself an app and not an add. I think the adds had adds! No free content here.
