Varnist - Photo Art Effects

It's a great app. Customer service though is Non existant. You can do a free trial that lasts for 3 days. Nowhere in the app is there a "cancel my membership button" or an option to opt out. There is no telephone number to contact support. It's only email support. Good luck with that. Now I'm stuck paying. 99 a month for an app and I don't even take pictures enough to use filters! If you're looking for a one time app... this isn't the one..

Easy to use with great effects. Kind of wish the end results were more clean (not as pixelated). Overall, good for beginners not ready to invest in a high dollar app. As of 12/19/20 I must change my review from 4 stars to 3, the reason being that I am now getting errors when attempting to apply ANY filters or effects. Have emailed the developer and if and once I hear back from their support team I'll revise my review accordingly. *Update* A good 15 months later and no response. Downgrade to 2 **

Not a fan of the change from being able to purchase a single "premium" effect once to use forever to only being able to do this stupid $1.49 per month, or the yearly fee, to unlock all the "premium" effects. I use the app for fun, but it's not a daily thing, certainly not worth maintaining a monthly or even yearly payment of any sort. However aside from that change, the standard, free effects are still pretty good and worth playing with.

I ve tried it and it seems really easy to use and fast. I havent really had a problem with ads. The filters are unique and also tap into modern art movements and artists, like Frida Kahlo, Dali, Mondegliani, Picasso, etc. Some of these are per pay. If the speed and the lack of ads keeps up I might considering purchasing for the year. Thank you for the app.

This app is crazy! The results are crazy! You guys are crazy to even come up with something so powerful, yet so simple! I've already signed up for the paid version because it's almost like getting it for free, what with all that I can do with it. And it handles RAW files! Not even Photoshop Express does that. I really appreciate that I can use the one membership on both of my devices. All I ask is for a better file browse/search feature for Chromebook. UPDATE 09NOV2019: I'm back to using a Windows computer (still have Android phone), but it seems the only version compatible with Windows is the free online version. I am a paid subscriber and would like to be able to use the paid subscription on my Windows machine if at all possible.

I absolutely love it works like magic. One problem tho (its not really a problem since i just use the share button amd email it to myself) the download button doesn't work. Also it wud be nice if i could choose some areas like the face, where the effects would not be applied because sometimes I just want to paint the background. But other than that its perfect. Thank guys!

I love this app, there are so many cool filters. Not every one works with every picture, but it's fun to experiment. I like it better for landscapes and pets than for people. The updates of new filters are fun. Suggestion for filter: Georgia O'Keefe. Ads are not intrusive. Update: I installed this on my new phone and there are some minor changes. I like that you can apply the filters to the background or main subject only. But something I keep doing accidentally erases all my progress :(

one of the best art filter apps. great filters although I wish they would load new ones more often. I like the generous number of free ones unlike some tightwad apps that give you only 3 or 4 to try out. I did subscribe for a few months, and there are some really great ones unlocked. I dont like the new trend of monthly subscriptions. I'd be more likely to buy a perm. pro version for 10$. not as versatile as as PicsArt but filters are better and we are spared the teeny bopper glitz blitz

I paid for a year subscription for the app and I've tried for the last month occasionally to use it and it tells me that it had an error processing the image. Could you either refund back onto my Google Play account or help me figure out but it's not working and get it to work. Really is an amazing filter app you will give it a five-star for sure if you can help me get it working again

So far, so good! Almost EVERY SINGLE TIME I've downloaded a photo editing app on my phone and have tried using it.....it would either freeze up on me or there would be interruption after interruption from ads popping up, but not with THIS ONE and so far I'm really having fun using all of the cool features.

The filters that are available are heavy-handed and the color adjustment controls to mitigate them are premium features. Judging from the examples provided, the premium features are as overwhelming and heavy-handed as the free ones. I'll stick with what I have, like Picas, Vinci and GoArt. Subtler, more options, and free.

Very interesting filters-quick responses.This is a KEEPER!My FAVORITE photo editer and it has the BEST filters that let you adjust and combine filters.Being a graphic artist..I have used a lot of programs...this is the only one I use now.Only wish I could download program to laptop.

It does have good effects. But instead of having the tradional pro version (one time purchase) that comes with new filter effects. They decided to use single in-app purchases for each new filter effect they add. Hope to see this app follow the traditional pro version single charge, which will include new filter effects. Until then, 1★.

I like varnist it's a fun app to use on your own photos stored on phone. You can also save photos you've turned into works of art using some of the famous paintig styles from famous artists. It's is easy too lose a little bit of time going through your photos turning them into art, when your done save them,share them to family and friends.

I can't say enough good about this app. You could spend hours and hours having a ball making hilarious edits on your pictures to enhancing ones you don't want to be comical. I've checked out a few apps and it's hard to know which one to pick as well as getting past any negative reviews. I thought I'd take a leap and download this one just to see if I could do it. I was glad I chose this one after making one creation that was not only fun but amazed at all the things it does. Highly recommend it

This is an Awesome photo filtering app, Images look great after You've found the filter that you want to use, Which there's quite a few that are very appealing and some are a bit out of the ordinary, But they are all very fabulous You just have to work with them, Meaning the filters I really recommend it ☆☆☆☆☆ Rating

All were nice and I will be using them to paint from, but then, ONE stood out, like, "what a combination of color and gestures to make it POP!!!" THAT'S WHAT WE WANT!!! SUPERB!!! EXCELLENT!! I'm Looking at the Pro Version folks, to try, with this kind of results from the free one... N I C E.

A curate's egg. Good in parts. Pros: no ads; doesn't run at startup. When it recolours/new brushstrokes, it does it well. Cons: no instructions; no variables on effects (i.e. only full on or full off); Artist styles don't work at all (Anime, Dali etc.); too many features blocked.

Easily the best of all the free apps with a similar function that I've come across. 'Sketch' produces a clear, basic outline drawing (most apps fall at that first hurdle). All the other filters and effects are interesting, some are stunning. Great fun.

Easy, fast, makes me feel artistic, creates images I am proud to share...what more could anyone want from an app that we could not have imagined only a decade ago? Oh yeah, FUN... I almost forgot to include fun. Lately all my techno-gizmos have given me stress. They always need charging or updating or they mysteriously disappear...I am ready to go back to my rotary landline...but then this came along and redeemed our blind acceptance of being bombarded by microwaves so we can chat. Love it!

I'm thinking more artists could use this app as a jump off start for mainipulating their base drawings without all the hassle of extra work. I haven't uploaded anything to Photoshop yet, so that will be my second rating coming up. But it could certainly save allot of time in the design of a project.

Very much easy to follow, no hickups with downloading and very reasonable prices for featured options. I would like to have the options of actually viewing the picture in love locked art options however it's still cool to view pics in the default ones so I can't complain that much about that, pretty good overall

Easy to use and very influencial. You can change background and content anytime and I think that's the most important thing you need in a photo app like Varnist. Great work keep it up!!!

I like the free version. There are some items that need the pro version,but I'm not a heavy user of apps. This one doesn't hit you with ads ever time you use it on the free version. Voila is one that does.

Very Cool! It is Alot of Fun and a well designed app! I do not like the pay monthly thing, it doesn't set well with me. I think a one time purchase setup would be much more popular with users. You can pay yearly as well, I don't care for that either! I would give it more stars if it were not for the payment thing!

I have downloaded the Varnist app and started to edit my picture within it....Its interesting surely! I can apply different types of varnish and also can resize the picture. What i like mostly is editing or not with or without the background....and sellecting the the intesity!!

Great app. There is a premium pack that allows you more effects, but you already have a large array of effects, and I don't think buying premium is necessary. Most popular effects are free, but some exotic ones are in the premium pack. Very well done app, would 100% download it.

So far, I've been having great fun with this App, and the results have been amazing, & rather amusing. I'm looking forward to experimenting a bit more, & exploring more possibilities. Thank you for a great App. I'll update my observations later, when I've had time to experiment a little more.

Add an 'undo' last option like when applying pen or writing/scribble to a pic I need 2 simply undo only the last operation applied or all which u have already w/discard button. The filters u can apply I think it's that section I want the option to slide the % or amt of the filter I want say only 50% of a filter applied much like the art application filters other than that, u all r genious!! Plain & Simple!! ♥️ U pls don't ruin it by starting 2 chrg 4 things off free now & I'll b a fan 4 life. ;)
