Works good I like the app. It just needs one thing. It needs a delete all button for saved videos so you don't have to go through each one to delete the non essential videos that are saved.
Door bell camera is inconsistent when connecting especially when needed and it takes way too long to connect to any of the cameras . I have other cameras around my house and I rely on them more often than vector security
The app is slow regardless of being connected to Wifi. When the doorbell is pushed, it takes entirely too long for me to view who it is before the person walks away. Even if they ring it twice. The video will only show a full minute after the button is pushed. This isnt helpful to me.
App has repeated glitches and does not let me arm/disarm or view the doorbell camera feed when needed. The whole point of the video is to be able to see who is on my porch when I need to, and it never works when I need it to. Extremely displeased and will likely cancel my contract with vector due to these issues. If a security system is going to be app based, the app needs to work. My safety guards should not glitch and need troubleshooting. Updated 10/27/21: Still despise this app and system.
Simple to use and reliable. Wi-Fi issues can affect cameras And getting notifications but it's not the app.
You can't adjust camera sensitivity from the app. So I get 200 six second videos a day. You can't select all and delete all the videos at once. If you go a few days without deleting all your useless (and poor quality) videos, I hope have plenty of time to go through and click on hundreds of videos to delete. You also can't update your WiFi info from the app. Everything you should be able to do in the app you have to log on to the website or call support. Can't wait to get rid of this service.
I'm disappointed with this app. When someone rings my doorbell the app never connects to the video and I get a message to retry or trouble shoot. I go through the trouble shooting steps which does not remedy the issue. I'd this doesn't get corrected I'll discontinue my service.
I have had the application not even a month and I continue to get a screen that tells me to set up my 2 factor Step access which is supposed to be a second or 3rd layer of security for my app. I do not wish to set this up and neither does my partner, but I continue to get this all the time on the application. I need to know how to bypass this in turn this off because it's becoming very frustrating and may deter my decision to keep the service
The app itself is great, except for 1 major and critical flaw: no notifications. The video works great, it senses everything it should be, however, I have never gotten a notification which makes the system nearly futile. This is a major issue and needs to be fixed.
Someone could come into my house, slaughter my entire family, and walk out before I ever got a notification that anyone was at my door...and that's when it does decide to work! If I could give 0 stars, I would. The worst "security" ever, absolute garbage when it comes to the doorbell camera feature. Everything else works fine, so I guess you can have that one measly star.
I don't get notifications from this app. I have to go to saved video in order to see anything.
When I first got my system it would send me images immediately to my phone when the motion detectors is activated now that I have had the system for over a month images no longer comes I'm not sure if my phone compatibility has changed or not I have tried several times 2 go into the app and install the phone number that the images should come to which was always there not sure what's not functioning and the doorbell function has a delay and me being able to see who's actually there.
App works fine to arm/disarm system, but the geo-fence feature is useless. It notifies me that I forgot to set the alarm when I return home (not when I've gone outside the boundary as it should). Completely pointless.
app is nice but a few thungs would be nice if they added them to the home screen. 1) Activity during the course of the day and 2)what my be a very important feature, having a panic button accessible from your phone.
This app is slow i can go to the window quicker than the app to see who's at the door. Very choppy audio on front doorbell and inside camera. Kids can't hear us... have to use Alexa. I really think the ring is better. To many tech issues with this
Very good.......you are able to watch your house 24/7. There are some flaws with the doorbell camera. By the time you get the notification on your phone it's too late to converse with whoever's on your porch. It's not taping everything now as it used to. It will occasionally record now. The company's response time is always immediate. They are very friendly and professional.
There are issues that needs to be fixed. I'm paying 64.99 a month...this app and live feed viewing of the cameras needs to be fixed. It doesnt let me watch live for more than 3 seconds now and I used to be able to view for at least a minute or so at a time before refreshing And our system wont turn on and we have the newest cameras and box. Please fix it or we wont be lifelong customers
Constantly have to uninstall then reinstall for notifications of activity. It works for about a week and then stops. Can still arm/disarm, but will not get the push notification when the doorbell is activated or the camera detects motion.
We have had vector for almost 3 years now, some of our features don't even work, and it takes 15 to 20 minutes to receive a call after the alarm is triggered. We had an incident with our back door being opened in the middle of the night and it took 45 minutes for an officer to arrive we live maybe 15 minutes from the station. I've spoken to so many rude operators. We chose to not use their cameras and went with blink cameras instead. We will be canceling when our contract ends in a few months.
Horrible, was fine until the 2 factor authentication process. Now anytime my wife or I log in we have to keep doing the 2nd verification process. Had you left the option to either enroll in it or not would have been fine.
i have tried to get help to change password . My original password was good for one long-in. customer service portal is useless. I had a previous account and that what shows up as my current email, Been trying for 4 hours and not success. Calls have no been turned and shuffled like a que ball.
There is a 2-3 minute delay in when motion is triggered versus when I receive the notification. Why is there such a delay? Paid enough money for upgrade with the cameras and so far not impressed with this lag time with app notification.
Limited features, settings never work, doorbell camera is the worst. Doorbell never alerts you, and when it does, it's 20 mins later. Best feature is arming/disarming alarm.
Will give a five star rating if an auto timer feature is added to the lights. The need to turn them on and off manually each day is not realistic.
Im brand new to this app. Would be nice if I could set it up to send me alert notifications only when it's in Armed mode. When I'm home and the alarm is not on I dont need a notification every time a door is opened or a motion sensor is tripped.
App moves slow. The camera is the worst quality wise & when trying to open it. The video feed doesnt open up or it takes way to long to open. Trash
This app does not work very well I can never see videos for my cameras or doorbell
For some reason I'm not getting notifications when the cameras are triggered. I went to the setting for the device and notifications are set to and turned on to recieve from the app. I don't get it, I used to recieve notifications now I don't 😕
