Composed in Vedic Sanskrit, the Vedas constitute the oldest layer of Sanskrit literature and the oldest scriptures of Hinduism.
Vedas are also called Εruti ("what is heard") literature distinguishing them from other religious texts, which are called smαΉti ("what is remembered").
There are four Vedas: the Rigveda, the Yajurveda, the Samaveda and the Atharvaveda. Each Veda has been subclassified into four major text types β the Samhitas (mantras and benedictions), the Aranyakas (text on rituals, ceremonies, sacrifices and symbolic-sacrifices), the Brahmanas (commentaries on rituals, ceremonies and sacrifices), and the Upanishads (texts discussing meditation, philosophy and spiritual knowledge). Some scholars add a fifth category β the Upasanas (worship).
The Sanskrit term veda as a common noun means "knowledge", but can also be used to refer to fields of study unrelated to liturgy or ritual, e.g. in agada-veda "medical science", sasya-veda "science of agriculture" or sarpa-veda "science of snakes" (already found in the early Upanishads); durveda means "with bad knowledge, ignorant"
The Vedas, Vedic rituals and its ancillary sciences called the Vedangas, were part of the curriculum at ancient universities such as at Taxila, Nalanda and Vikramashila.

Chanting is good. But there is no searching mechanism. It would be better if it is possible to search a sukta or mantra by word or by mandala-sukta-mantra.Thanks for devoloper's efforts.
This app has detailed vedas. All the four vedas. I just now started with right veda. Will share feedback once I progress on this path. Thank you.
It is very good app. Only thing is there could have been lyrics and its meaning then it could become perfet.
Excellent chants of the Vedic lessons. Providing lyrics in devanagari be more beneficial in learning and understanding. Please add lyrics too..

audio is good, in previous version ashtakam- adhyayam,kandam- prasanam like that details are good and easy, but now clubbed and coming as part , not so good

All the time displaying that it is downloading please wait fo hours and hours., so it looks like another trick to grab your wIFI Megabites/Money inturn. So don't be fooled. They think they are clever so people must get cleverer too by uninstalling soon after installing.

Good app for best vedic chanting audio clips
Thank u 4 allowing d opportunity 2 hear our scriptures. Jus dat unable 2 bookmark. Been playing least 3 stanzas each day. At times unable 2 recall d last stanza played. Besides in between while playing loading becomes an issue. It either reloads from d beginning otherwise hangs there till intervened. Otherwise will be more than 5 stars 4 tis noble contributions. Thanks a lot.
