The Vedas are said to be apauruṣeya ("not of human agency").They are supposed to have been directly revealed, and thus are called śruti ("what is heard"), distinguishing them from other religious texts, which are called smṛti ("what is remembered").
The Vedic texts or śruti are organized around four canonical collections of metrical material known as Saṃhitās, of which the first three are related to the performance of yajna (sacrifice) in historical Vedic religion:
1) The Rigveda, or Rig Veda contain hymns to be recited by the hotar, or presiding priest;
2) The Yajurveda, or Yajur Veda contains the liturgy (mantras) needed to perform the sacrifices of the Veda, and the added Brahmana and Shrautasutra add information on the interpretation and on the details of their performance.
There are two primary versions or Samhitas of the Yajurveda: Shukla (white) and Krishna (black). Both contain the verses necessary for rituals, but the Krishna Yajurveda includes the Brahmana prose discussions mixed within the Samhita, while the Shukla Yajurveda has separately a Brahmana text, the Shatapatha Brahmana.
3) The Sama Veda, Samveda, or Samaveda (Sanskrit: सामवेदः, sāmaveda, from sāman "melody" and veda "knowledge"), is a collection (samhita) of hymns, portions of hymns, and detached verses, all but 75 taken from the Sakala Sakha of the Rigveda, the other 75 belong to the Bashkala Sakha, to be sung, using specifically indicated melodies called Samagana, by Udgatar priests at sacrifices in which the juice of the Soma plant, clarified and mixed with milk and other ingredients, is offered in libation to various deities.
4) The fourth is the Atharvaveda, a collection of spells and incantations, apotropaic charms and speculative hymns.
The individual verses contained in these compilations are known as mantras. Some selected vedic mantras are still recited at prayers, religious functions and other auspicious occasions in contemporary Hinduism.
The various Indian philosophies and sects have taken differing positions on the vedas. Schools of Indian philosophy which cite the vedas as their scriptural authority are classified as "orthodox" (āstika).

Very bad. I found this app out of date, requiring unexplained access to my personal data, and a mandatory login on Facebook.
Helps me through these tough times and helps with my anxiety. We could believe in other gods because they do help us. I mean other religions can help in these end times.
Your app had no functional features. Ot basically showed me what it wanted me to see and not much else.
Bad English. Bad translation. Nothing is readable

No actual Slokas are depicted except their meaning in English, that is distorting the mind from vedic spirituality.
I've been getting into Hinduism since I've been going to a Dvaitin temple but seeing as how many don't ever talk about the foundation of Hinduism aka the Vedas I think this is needed badly.Lord Indra is my favorite God and he's Supreme as per the Rig Veda and he's Brahman too.

The person who translated this doesnt tell the reader that it is written in the Mahabharata that there are certain beings like Brahmanas who are the only beings in thevKali Yuga to recite the Vedas. Sadus are not even permitted to recite the Holy Scriptures that has to be recited ceramonialy out loud. With fire sacrifices, and other offerings. Sadus were created before this fallen age as a penalty from Karma. Sadus are to serve Brahmins.. And so on and so forth. Hare Aum
This app made me think that negative ratings should be allowed. It's filled with flashy ads, which would have been alright but the verses are less prominent than ad. Just a way to make money. I guess you can find a nice copy of the vedas somewhere else.
Just started reading I like to read about different things, curious about what this app is, so far pretty interesting thank you, for the time you put in to it.
Vedas are worse than toilet paper. Toilet papers are empty. They don't harm. Vedas are harmful to science and reasoning.

Remove those verse of the day, book of the day. They are annoying in home page. Also keep things in some 'ease access order'. Other than that, its ok
It is a good app to get the basic ideas of the writing. But in some places the translation is wrong.
The translation could have been better. Also try putting original or hindi verses.
