Pixo's Vehicle Barcode Scanner is uniquely optimized to accurately scan linear VIN barcodes — including through windshield glare and in a variety of indoor/outdoor lighting situations. NOTE: This app does NOT provide additional information about the vehicle beyond basic year and make.
How it works:
• Launch the app. No logins or accounts are needed.
• Position your smartphone camera over the barcode, so the barcode fills the screen. There is no button to push. The app will automatically scan the barcode after it focuses.
• For best results, wipe dust and dirt away before attempting to scan.
• Use the Light button to illuminate the barcode if necessary.

Used this app for years. Loved it. But now in order to get scanned history have to pay over priced premium. QR decode is terrible.
Doesn't give you much info of the vehicle. It's not free, only 14 days of free trial.

Scanning numerous disk codes & buffing! Found a much better locally developed app that works everytime. I my line of work! Information is critical when needed. Recommendation, DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING THIS APP...

Gives unknown make and year at times. The vin gave a wrong random number before. The app often force closes when the light is used. And I have the pro version. Waste of $4.
Show model and trim of vehicle in information and make lousy of history standard on lite version

this app is useless. it does scan the barcode if you're patient enough but all it gives you is make and year of the car. the only option you have is to copy the VIN to your clipboard so you can go online and Google the details of your car. I'm going to uninstall just to cut out the useless step this app adds to the process.
After two months of trying on 5 different cars/trucks being very patient this app just does not work as described! Very disappointed :-(
On note 2 it does not give any options to save info. I can use the camera and save the photo this is a worthless app to me. Says to pair it with paid service.
This must be one of the only Apps I've seen that registers a "Success" when declaring a search input result as 'vehicle unknown'
Now I can copy paste VIN numbers! Doesn't read the QR codes though.

This app works great, but it's a unless app!! Doesn't give you any info about the car!! UNLESS!!!

Easy to point and capture VIN barcodes. Except subarus, no barcodes for those vehicles. Glad there is a manual entry option.
Scanned my 01 dodge Dakota and it told me it was a 2031 unknown. Wow I know my truck is unique but a 2031, its just easier to go online and Google the vin
I've been using the app for work for about 4 years. I usually have to scan and enter between 2-20 Vin numbers per day, 5 days a week, then copy and paste them into a work ticket on my scheduling app. It works about 95% of the time and I've learned that 4 out of those other 5 times it's usually either because my camera lense is dirty or the lighting is too dark or bright. I consider those camera problems and not the app's fault.
