updating will removed all your saved profiles. forcing you to reconfigure from scratch for a simple schedule change.
Did not work with Pixel 3a with Android 9 - it connected the the thermostat's AP automatically, but didn't do anything after that. Installed on Samsung tablet also running Android 9, and it worked instantly. If you have trouble like this, just try a different device. Venstar, please test this on more devices...
Update deleted profiles and doesn't work.
Worked OK to set up wifi but keeps giving error message when trying to save profile. Fail.
Worked perfectly for setting up wifi on all four of my Venstar thermostats. Did it's job just fine so I'll give it five stars.

Works as intended and is easy to use. Configures wireless devices with ease. One con is that the on screen instructions do not show you how to add the sensor(s) to the Venstar thermostat. For Venstar thermostat s you just have to go into the settings menu and add wireless sensors.
The only problem I found with this app is that it didn't work... until I contacted Venstar support. They replied within an hour with the answer-- I needed to turn off the cellular radio, use only WiFi during the configuration process (place in Airplane Mode, turn on WiFi). Worked perfectly. This, of course needs to be made clear in the app and in the Quick Start literature that comes with the thermostat.
