April 2022, Version 18: The app is still crashing when zooming out over Europe. (Samsung S20) Version 14.2 keeps crashing when zooming in over Europe, Asia, a.s.o., but not crashing when zooming over North America. (Android 11 / Samsung S20). Could it be because a different weather model is used for other continents and those are not properly supported? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application with no improvement. (I am a subscriber)
just want to say I love this app, I keep looking at it multiple times a day, I feel I can learn a lot about weather just looking at the patterns. Also I loved the new feature when we click another day and it smoothly animates the transition, that gives a lot of insight!
Incredible accuracy in all kinds of measurements. Wind speed, wind gusts, snow coverage, rain and clouds, temperature and perceived temperature. Small price (for Android) for the app for an whole year.
Love that data the app gives, but it does not have an intuitive interface. Sometimes I find a nice frame, but I am not sure what I click to get to it and cannot find again. Cannot make my widget in Fahrenheit. Don't know how to change it. Wish it was more user friendly.
App is good with a level of accuracy that is at least as good as any other source of weather forecasts - widget performance has improved somewhat but I still have to reinstall it periodically, which is pretty annoying.
App continues to ask me for payment. When I click for free trial it then acknowledges that I have a paid membership. But won't allow me to use the premium options. 😕 I've done this once already and ended up with 2 subscriptions to 1 phone 😳🙄 please fix this glitch
Most comprehensive and user friendly weather map I've seen in apps or online. It obviously defaults to metric measurements, so I wasn't too surprised when it stayed metric on the maps even after I specified english measurements.
Overall really good, but lately I have issues with it, it won't open for me.. Updated, restarted phone but still no luck.
Looks nice. The colour charts don't have a key, which almost renders them useless. They're on the web site. Edit: in view of the response from the developer, I think I've given too much weight to the lack of colour scale on an otherwise excellent app. I know about the option to display numbers directly on the map. I'd still prefer the option of a colour scale though.
UPDATE 8/7/19: Switching "Model" to "Automatic" in the settings has fixed the issue. The app is great! This app is nice, but it was awesome. It seems the latest update has removed forecast from the free version? If so, it's become kind of useless and I can no longer suggest it to people because weather apps should display the future weather.
While the concept and the website is outstanding and I would give them 14 Stars if I could, the Android app is beset with serious limitations if they don't seem interested in fixing. Specifically, that when you are trying to explore weather systems on the road ahead it keeps popping back to where you are located at the moment. And there's no bloody way to turn that feature off. And does the new upgrade actually fix this problem, or just add another advertisers set of pop-ups to my phone?
I really love the visualisation of the app. It's beautifully designed and very fast. But unfortunately I had to cancel my subscription because the data is totally inaccurate. Of course weather models are never perfect but there are services doing much better. Will follow the desktop version. If it improves i might subscribe again.
I love everything about the app, except instead of paying a one time fee of say, $5 or $10 USD, I have to enroll in a subscription. EDIT: after buying the subscription, the UI has drastically changed and I can no longer access the forecast how I should be able to. Edit 2: after a reinstall it now works.
I find this accurate for my region (South Africa), however very difficult to use it to predict snowfall as I need to set it to freezing levels, then arrow up to see the precipitation per hour and match it to the freezing levels. This means also that the temperature displayed isn't also in sync (like the temperature at 2000m above ground level is). It seems like the elevation of the maps you use doesn't correspond. Your snow cover is wildly inaccurate for our area. Only very heavy falls show.
I cannot stand that no state boundaries are indicated in the map images. Unless I am missing it, I don't see whether to show boundaries or not, as an option anywhere in the app settings. If I'm mistaken, please do let me know. Otherwise, I strongly suggest coding it in as an option, instead of deciding for everyone that we just don't get to see them.
Before mid December found it very accurate to help predict weather for morning and evenings for photography purposes, but since has been totally unreliable to the point where I don't bother predicting it. Snow prediction seems to be fine but cloud, wind and temperature are off. Especially cloud! I've reverted to using a free app that also shows cloud base as well which is useful for mountain views and if you are going to be able to see the top or not.
XaaS continues to pillage and plunder its way through everything good. I would have happily paid a one-time fee for the premium app. However, instead I'll just continue to use online sources that uBlock Origin cleans up— for free. It's unfortunate but I will not support XaaS modeling without at least an alternative option to buy, and OWN, a perpetual license outright. Bring back the one-time purchase option to OWN the premium app with no subscription, and I'll change my tune.
This is a very good visual representation of existing weather with the HRRR model (which I think, uses RTMA (real time) data). The mapping is good and you can zoom in or out to get a big picture of what is happenning around you, or what is happening in your immediate area. Very good for things like sailing. You can even go back to check past RTMA weather data, which is unique. They have all the other many forecast models, too, but the HRRR modeling and real time is best.
Love the app so much that I signed up for premium, but dissapointed that I have to suffer through the trial period first. I have to wait 7 days for premium content.
Best Free weather app with No adds! This is so good! BUT I'm still going to purchase premium anyway version anyway, just to help make a great free app even better!
For some reason, one part of the app shows time in the standard 12 hour format, and in another it shows time in the 24 hour format.. and there's quite a few settings for choosing between metric(which are ignorantly all set to metric in America...) and "American"(imperial), but no option for time. Also, no progress bar showing time on the radar makes it basically useless. Uninstalled
