Vera: Plant Care App

Starting to feel like an abandoned app. Freezing/crashing issues ongoing for almost a year now. Many common and popular plants not in database. The articles on the community side of the app are over a year old. No updates or improvements in a long time. I'm still using the app because i have a large collection in it with history tied to each, but i may look for alternatives. Hopefully the dev comes back around because this was my favorite and it's of the more simple to use plant apps.

Great plant care app. I have tried several plant care apps. One of the big things for me is saving the information somewhere so if I get a new phone, need to repair my phone, etc I don't lose all of the information I put into the app. Signing into Google is the smartest and easiest way. Thank you for having this option. Besides that, beautiful app. Easy to use, has everything I need to take care of all my plants.

Overall really good free app with a very responsive customer service team. Still waiting on that archive function, though! As I give away (and kill) more plants, I wish I could tidy up my list, especially since there's still no way to display the list alphabetically by default (only by the date they were added). There's a lot of room for improvement, but it's really solid for helping me stay up to date on who's been watered and who has grown!

This app is the BEST. Other apps with higher ratings make it so complicated. The app has no ads, is so simple/fast, has no limit on the number of plants (that I'm aware of), lets you add your own photo of each plant, and (most importantly) allows you to schedule the timing of watering reminders while also giving you the flexibility to water early or late depending on if the plant dries out earlier than expected or isn't ready to be watered yet.

I'm liking this app a lot so far. It's super simple, easy to use, and beautifully designed. A few things that I'd like to see: - Info about plants (I guess it's coming) - A calendar view (like the Clue app), or something that gives me an idea of how frequently I'm watering them, so I can set a schedule. - Similarly, I'd like to be able to set notifications not on particular days but, for example, one week after the last time I watered the plant. Can't wait to see new improvements. 👍👍👍

I've used the app for about a month now. I like being able to add photos to chart growth or illness. The watering log and reminders are useful. I had the same problem others have described with the new update in early June. I contacted the team and they quickly restored my plants/account. I was impressed with their quick assistance! One thing that would be nice to have is to check off if a plant did not need watering. Right now, to clear the notice I mark as watered and then go delete it.

Overall great! Simple and easy to use. Like the others, it would be good to have a "not watered" option. It would also be nice to add more complex watering schedules, for example, I would like to water some plants 2x per week on Saturday and Wednesday, rather than every 3 days. Alternatively, maybe it just needs the ability to add more reminders - I'd be happy to use water reminders every 7 days twice with different start dates, but also things like "spray with neem oil" or "prune" for example.

It's great, but unable to keep notifications alive. Great UI, really well done, it's clear and you have everything you need. But the only really important thing is the notification part: if that doesn't work, it's useless. I tested the functionality from the all's test, they work,checked on my phone settings, granted every permission and priority over other apps... But nothing. I'll uninstall this app and look for another one, after two months of use.

Well this was my go to app, it had everything I needed. A recent update has changed something massive which has prompted me to come here with a bad review. You can no longer manually set dates for watering or reminder day intervals as the "Done" (save) button is just... Disabled. Meaning i cannot adjust reminder dates on the fly, which is the whole point of why I used it. In fact, I can't change anything now. I'd love to speak to them about it but their twitter is inactive.

I like the clean design of the app. It makes it very easy & coherent to establish a schedule for each plant. I wish the scheduling could also apply to misting and pest control and other features which are available in the Activity Log, but not the Scheduling feature, which only has "watering" and "fertilizing". If there is a premier version that can be purchased, I'd like to know where to find it.

I like the look and feel of this app. It is missing a journal for me to take notes on observations over time. Would love to be able to create forms in a journal with things like soil moisture, volume of water given, appearance, height, blooms, buds, etc. I know I could type this in the special instructions section, and have, but that's not what that section is for.

I've been using this app for almost a year now and the improvements that have been made to it are amazing! One thing I would love to see added is the ability to "archive" plants. I've gotten rid of or sold several plants, but I still want them in my journal to look back on. I just don't want them added into my current plant count or get reminders/notifications for them.

I don't think it's that helpful overall. It would be more useful if the app had functionality to identify the plant and pull back conaolidated info on how to care for it. Right now it feels just like a themed notebook. It would also be helpful if you could mark all plants as watered within the notification, instead of having to go in the app and mark each one individually. Edit: asks you to aign up with an account, but the app has be reinstalled all your data is gone... What is the point?

Excellent app for organizing ones plants, watering and fertilization schedules. Very convenient and beautifully designed, ergonomic. One suggestion would be to add variations in repeated tasks. Say for instance, fertilizing a plant only a specific, asymmetric amount of times a year, in April, May and June, is not possible, as there is only the option for regular, repeating notifications.

I loved it for months, but I went in to check my plants today and it had deleted ALL of my data. It's like the app had gotten a complete reset--when I open it it asks me to sign up with either a Google or Facebook account (no other options). I'm so disappointed, months of notes and progress pictures gone. Plus, I know that it was working just this morning from a notification. EDIT: After seeing my review the developer restored all my data, on the same day! Thank you, highly recommend!!

I had an issue with the login and lost all my plant's info. The team was responsive and help me recover it. Thank you, y'all!! The design of the app is great and it is easy to use. Just one little add on would be great: what about adding a database for plant care for the most common house plant types. It could even a editable field so user can add more specific care depending on their home conditions. But the app is great, it does what it set do with style.

The intro screens made it sound great and I thought it was really cute how it asked you to photograph and name your plants. Unfortunately this is where the fun ended. For some reason it wouldn't even save the pictures. I'd take the photo and it would just go back to the home screen with nothing saved. I went through this about 10 times and gave up. Uninstalled.
