App doesn't work. Can't see which Pin codes are being used. Support takes days to respond. I was left on hold for over 30 minutes. Terrible experience. I wish other apps existed to control my lock. This is the worst ever. UPDATE: All alerts stopped working. Support won't respond to emails. Would not recommend until they get their act together.

Worst app and device. Hardly ever works. Takes forever to connect. Lost all connections when 1 battery pack went out. Scenes don't run. Devices don't show on dashboard. Update... Spent over an hour with support and some Devices had to be readded and firmware update was delivered. Devices and scenes still don't load in timely fashion on app dashboard and bug reported with favorites.

Thank you for the update! As a secondary on the account, with the "new" dashboard, I was unable to do much of anything remotely. Now that it's back to the "old" dashboard, I can arm/disarm alarm from the app, which is what I primarily use it for. Edit 4/30 Your app update has brought back the "new" dashboard. As a secondary user on the account (not the creator) about all I can do from the app is open the garage door remotely. 😠 Much, much, MUCH prefer the previous interface.

Hmm for such an expensive bit of kit, you'd think you'd get a great app but unfortunately that is not the case. 90% of the time it doesn't work, as in I can't get into it. It either says I don't have a controller or it says I can't connect to it. But if I access it via the IP address on a browser it works. I don't understand why there are 3 different ways to access the controller - the app, via IP address and via the Vera website. But all three versions are different. Why can't I access the Alexa settings or Apps via the app but only via the IP or Vera website. When the app does let me in, nothing works in the menu, as in, click the menu icon, click Devices and then nothing happens. The usability of the app is terrible. The Alexa integration is also terrible. My routines don't work, me telling Alexa to switch something on does not work all the time, sometimes she says the device is not responding and then it will switch on about 1 minute later, other times it doesn't come on and I have to login to the controller to switch on the device. I'm very disappointed.

After last update, I permanently see the RED banner on top of the screen with message "No internet connection". Due to that, I can't enable Geofencing. However, some other functions are working (switch on/off the lights, running scenes, etc). I saw similar issue has been already posted here, and it was suggested to reinstall the app. I did this, but it didn't solve the problem. Seems like I was lucky this morning, I was able to catch the moment, when that red banner disappeared, and I did enabled the Geofencing. However, after that, I already saw the red message again few times.

I'm currently unable to log in using this app even with the correct credentials and multiple resets. I just end up getting locked out. This never used to be an issue in times past. It seems the last update broke it. it's virtually unusable now. I am only able to reach the controller via web. This seems to be an issue for several peoole for the past few months. Can you please find a resolution? This is damaging to your brand. The product itself is very good, this app not so much...

Worst app ever! When I turn on a light or change the temperature I get a spinning wheel forever. The app completely freezes - no response. Just realized that there are literally dozens of apps that will connect to and control my Vera Plus seamlessly. And they look better. Time to move on. UPDATE: still not working after update. When I adjust the thermostat, it says "Success" but the little spinning wheel never stops - completely unresponsive.

Z-wave devices are really varied, and the home experience depends on lots of different products interworking well with Vera. A key to how usable/workable the solution is, can be the support. The app is quite functional - but Vera support is always very responsive and helpful, even if the issue is related to a device. That really makes it usable as a key part of the home.

The app does not have the functions of the website. The Vera controller has so much potential. I have integrated it with my security system and Zwave devices. The interface for security is weak. Very weak. The automation part works well. I have reached out to vera to bring the system into my security company so we can add automation and help fix the security interface. They countered by asking us for a crazy user fee to resell their product. We passed on it.The app CANNOT work with Security

Above all else, tech support is outstanding. I have been using the edge for years and they shipped me a new unit after a failed firmware upgrade, and they worked with me to get everything back in order. I would like to see more information on the controllers web page, like the total kWh shown on the mobile app, and the energy app working.

Since the latest update, all of my devices constantly show an outdated state. I can still control things, but it'll show lights are on that are off. Or they'll just as often say the device is off, but it's actually on. Apart from being inaccurate, it'll also requires multiple taps to activate the correct setting.

With the new dashboard it made the app worse! It still allows you to tag favorites but after closing the app and reopening the favorites are gone again! So whats the point? Also items that I have in my system become less useful outside of scenes. I lost my toggle bottons for random devices. So they are still there, but i cant operate them individually. In exchange, we at least got a nice background i guess? Operating a VeraLite. App is responsive and works so 3 is fair, but please go back!

Ok, so the app stopped working earlier this month, prior to this it had been working fine for many years. I left a negative review which seems to have disappeared and also contacted Vera. Excellent customer support, my email was responded to promptly and instructions given on how to resolve the issue. Before I had the chance to follow the instructions, the a seems to have updated and all is well once more.

The update goes the wrong way. Have had a Vera Secure in my house for a year and half. New program is not as clear or easy to use. New front screen is bothersome and makes it harder to unlock the front door turn on lights, etc. Can't easily check motion has cleared before setting away mode.

Years of people asking to be able to put shortcuts (of scenes) on the home screen and we still can't do it. Ridiculous. Why isn't this feature implemented? It's the most simple basic concept. I want a button on my home screen where I can turn on a light or do some common task without having to navigate through a bunch of nonsense in the app. FFS FIX THIS!

W. B. Jul 1, 2019

Basic features like geofencing don't seem to work properly at all in the Android app. Vera asks you to allow it run constantly in the background (terrible for battery life and not a good way to do things at all), and even when you do get geofencing enabled it seems to switch itself off any time your phone is powered off or restarted. This apps needs a lot of work to be acceptable.

I've tried every button and selection but so far not able to pair two devices to each other. Waiting for help but UI does not make this possible. Yeah this app lets you control devices but that's it. Vera took my info but that was all I heard. The store that sold me the three products took more info, even duplicated the problem. It comes down to the this APP is not compatible with the Ezlo Atom

Bob. L. May 6, 2020

A red banner "No internet connection" continuously presents at the top of the screen. Simultaneously, "Connection Established!" is occasionally presented in a disappearing message at the bottom of the screen. The app continuously fails to have any useful function. All other mobile apps and connectivity diagnostics readily access the internet with no errors. Using the same network/router and desktop browser, I'm able to connect to Vera and operate all functions normally. The Google Home mobile app also connects and operates Vera with voice commands without error. Please take corrective and preventive actions to make this application functional.

App won't even load now so I can't comment too much. When it used to work it was incredibly slow, barely any devices work with it, notifications never work right. The whole system is basically useless. Edit- I don't know what "issues" you've fixed, as it still won't load.

Tim. T. Apr 17, 2020

Crapy app. Worked for a little while but then completely stopped working. The app signed me out and i forgot my Credentials. So I reset my password but then when clicking on the password reset link. It then asked for my Credentials that i had just reset. So i had no way to get in to the app or make a new account. Very poor design and poorly run app.

I've been using Vere 3 legacy contoroller for 6+ years without issues. Very easy to integrate with products from other brands. I have many light switch/dimmer and door/window sensors from Fibaro and everything works fine. I can control from the app or just let the scenes I programmed do the job. I know there are newer models Vera is offering right now but no need to replace my old unit so far.

Ste. W. Mar 24, 2020

Was good - now bad After the recent update, it now asks me to log in almost every time I try to use it. What's worse, is it says the password is wrong. I have changed the password both on the Vera website and on my local Vera. Sometimes the password will work. Sometimes it won't. Also, the new dashboard is dumb for a smartphone. It basically turns things on and off but you lose easy access to sliders for dimmable lights. It also truncates the names so that you can't see them. Very frustrating

I'm new to Vera, this app design is terrible. The menu and alerts take up half the screen with no way to minimize them.... The "propose" of this app is to make adjustments to your home automation yet it's extremely difficult to do when everything is barely legible because half the screen is permanently occupied.

My biggest issue is this app doesn't have the same functionality of the website. As an example, I can turn my HVAC fan on from the site, but not from the app. Also, neither allow you to create fairly simple if statements. As an example, if the temp difference between 2 sensors is greater than a defined value, the fan will turn on. You can't even trigger the fan as an effect of a trigger. You can't control geofence for different controllers independently. either its active for both or neither.
