How VerbSquirt works
The need to conjugate French verbs on the fly can make spontaneous conversation difficult for even intermediate speakers of French.
VerbSquirt’s approach is to simulate the rapid recall and listening skills needed for a conversation involving French verbs, and to help the user improve those skills.
Instead of asking for conjugations based on a particular tense, VerbSquirt challenges the user to find the closest possible French translation for the English action they want to describe, or to identify the closest English translation for a particular action in French.
Once fluency improves, VerbSquirt helps the user gain familiarity with the different rules of conjugation for French verbs, and with the exceptions, leading to a better understanding of the subtleties of the language.

It's a very good system, especially for repetition practice. Im just concerned as there is no option to go back and practice verbs you have done before, or if so, the feature is not immediately visible. i would have liked to go back and practice some other verbs sometimes.
Awesome app! I love the layout, if youre not sure of the pronounciation, it has it built in, and the quizzes are very helpful. Also, it doesn't ask for access to your contacts/photos, making me feel safe when i use it. I would buy the Pro version, but I'm not sure what it has over the free version?
Great free app for focusing on verbs. A little boring with simple features, but does help to drill it in. And to be fare I always find learning verbs very boring. Try to stick with it, as first impressions of this app aren't great, but think its helping me study so hopefully worth you giving it a try.
Yes! This is it. Every French learner struggling with verbs, conjugation etc should get this. It has taught me more than what my lecturer did in an entire semester. Such a fun, educative app and with a lot of free content. I have lots of French language apps but I can comfortably say this is my go-to app and my 5 star one. Big up to the developers
Really great training tool. Only problem I saw was "tu" Is difficult to match with its conjugated counterpart. It wiggles and jumps until you have to sort of hook it onto the end of the empty space. But it may just be my phone.
Loved it until it started to crash repeatedly and lose all my progress. When I reopened it the module l was working on had vanished and rhe format had changed. Lovely free app and thank you to the providers, but it obviously has glitches.
Tried it as a way to teach my students French. I'd recommend lowering the difficulty and lowering the pause time between questions otherwise it's too difficult to get a good score and takes too much time.
This app is great! I'm currently struggling with my French because I know some words (mostly nouns), but I always have trouble to make the simplest sentence out of them, because I don't know enough verbs. This is perfect for me!
Best verb drill app I've found so far, with useful lessons rather than just a long list of verbs. All it needs to be 5 stars is exercises where you have to write in the answers rather than multiple choice.
You are doing a great job, however there certain offline cases that the sound does not work, for example when you tap on a verb. Besides this, please make a bigger icon to activate easier the sound while conjugating the verbs
Very easy to use so far. Seems to be good at moving one forward in difficulty levels. Nice accompaniment to other French learning apps such as Duo. Have had one drawback. Seems to hang really easily.
Very useful app to have with you on the go to boost your learning efficiency. I like the tests with varying difficulties. Would be nice to hear how the verbs sound!
Excellent replacement for a boring book with verbs like Bescherelle. You can learn, practice and revise all the verbs. Only thing that needs improvement is the way the app looks.
A great app to embark on the treacherous journey of French conjugation. The app would be better if there was a way to create an account? or some other way to prevent progress loss in the event of bugs.
Update: it does read out the verb if you change to Googles TTS in settings. Fabulous app. Would be perfect if we could manage our past custom exercises better. Deleting and editing them.
A great help with learning verbs and verb tables, in a fun way. The speech element sounds a bit rushed but this is a minor niggle and is outweighed by it's ease of use.
Very good app.This app helps you learn 'er', 'ir', and 're' verbs in their Present, Past, Passe compose and many other forms ..It also gives test and helps you to access your learning history in order to correct mistakes...
Great app but with major glitches. After making exercise consisting of 10 questions I made only 2 mistakes. Unfortunately In my summary it showed 69 out of 100. Totally random numbers fully unmatched.
Really useful app and structured exercises! Teaches useful verbs. I do hope the test could be reviewed as right now i cannot go back and revisit the tests once i finish them.
Good to challenge your speed when conjugating verbs. It can seem repetitive but I guess that's the point. Ads are acceptable considering ap is free.
Excellent app to learn French verbs and the respective forms in various tenses. Would recommend it to all who want to learn new language. Very handy and convenient.

Excelent app for learning the complicated French grammar is repeating the forms of the verbs with pronunciation to get in your head if you can't learn grammar with this app I don't know how you would otherwise. I recommend to everyone who is about to learn French this app make ur life easier 😊
The app is impressive and has helped me conjugate and understand the meaning. The exercises for points help you practice your speed which helps when actually trying to speak as I often confuse I (je), you (tu, vous), us (nous), ... My only question is why is there no Subjunctive tense?
I absolutely love this app. The problem it just keeps freezing on me. Existing and reopening is not working! Is the full version the same or better?
It is very good app. I liked it a lot !. I tried several times to get the full version by redeeming but no chance. Full version doesn't work in my country 😔
Easy to use! What be even better is if there were an option for only listening and responding without any reading it writing.
I did tons of exercises so decided to upgrade. Instead of updating it replaced the app meaning i have to start all over again. Stupid. I will not be doing so and i recommend everyone to NOT buy the full version.
Not really good they've to improve the verbal arrangements by increasing the number of practice verbs . As a person who studies french for education programs I have found there many features that must improved
Lovely app to revise conjugation of French verbs! Very happy to far apart from the audio. Huge error on your part for the 's' to be pronounced in the "tu as"! Shame cos I wouldn't mind paying for a good version of this app if audio was more trustworthy. Anyway, great job otherwise. Edited to include that the advice on how to switch the ' speech' over to Google has worked! Thanks for the great communication guys!
