Verbum Catholic Bible Study

I like this app's features, it's a little expensive for the average Joe, but the resources available for purchase are top notch.

It takes some time to learn how to navigate the resources, but it is expansive and provides many resources, like Catholic commemtary on scripture and other Bible translations as well as word meanings in the Greek or Latin, to help you understand the intended meaning of the passages. Rather than the often clouded meanings which happen due to language translation barriers or our common use of words which have changed throughout cultural shifts.

Wonderful! An easy to use app that has helped me deepen my study of the sacred scriptures, goes above and beyond any Bible app I know of.

I cant get the words of Christ to be in red. I touch the choice in the settings but it does not work.

Great app. But the only problem I see, is that the downloaded books are saved in the cache folder within the app, so if I use the cleaning app of my phone, it deletes important files Verbum needs in order to work, so it renders it useless until you reinstall it. (If you add an option where to save your downloaded books) 5 stars if you fix this!

The ability to search through nearly 3,000 books on different topics keeping the results separate, while taking notes is a unique and extraordinary experience. Many of these texts are in Latin, Greek that enables me search in the original language overcoming the limitations of the English language but also choice exercised by the translator.

Logs out every few seconds for no reason!!!

Love the app! However I've been having difficulties with Verbum app on my Android phone! Especially when I open a reference and takes up the whole page it won't allow me to go back not even on my back button on my phone! I have to set it up on landscape mode.. The app keeps crashing too!.. However I still do love the app!

Hi, how to register? What are allowed passwords? I can't seem to register, it doesn't say what made the password invalid

I have been a member for about 15 years and have built an amazing library of Christian books. I have a lot of money invested and the books are mine to pass on. The help from the organization is great.

This is such a great app. Amazing what you can do on your phone.

I would love it if it could open faster on my device because I'm waiting a good 30 seconds to a minute everytime as it is now. Other than that,this is a really good app, runs well, and a fantastic resource well presented.

It is good to have my library available on my mobile devices. However, the app is so clunky and difficult to use, especially when you have many items in your library. I wish they would redesign it to be more user-friendly, like other apps, like Olive Tree, have.

I like how I can view 2 Bible versions at the same time and compare the wording. There are many useful resources available at no cost. I also like the Basic version (I was recently surprised to find it available to me for free) on the Windows OS. Also, 1 free ebook per month it nice.

I am using this app across two platforms Android and IOS, I find it difficult to sync between two devices. I cannot be on the page that I read last in the other device. Kindly look into this.

Of all the Bible apps I've used, this is the best when it comes to Catholic resources. The RSVCE, NRSVCE, RSV-2CE, NABRE and even the ESVCE (with market restrictions) are all here, though you have to buy them to download them. But they do hold occasional sales so if you don't want to spend too much, you can wait for those. The RSVCE is also available for free but you have to stay online to access it.

Best Bible and Catholic study app I have found. You will be amazed at what you can do with Verbum and the desktop version is even more powerful. I use this app for essays, study, prayer, spiritual reading and for writing talks. I know it expensive and this put me off for a long time but I see it now as an investment as it an app I use everday.

I have been enjoying reading Bible, commentaries and other books, but had some difficulty closing a resource when I had finished with it and wanted to move on to another without keeping the first open.

Excellent app. I really like the scope of the ressources, the free book of the month and the possibility to have different translations side by side.

A spiritual app which keeps my books readily accessible and syncs my notes and highlighted passages across devices. I love verbum and use it regularly for study and personal growth.

Great app. Invaluable in a time where most of the time you cant get conveient access to certain many books. Must have for any biblical scholar. Have been using it for the last five years now with life saving results : )

Dosen't seem to be a very intuitive type app. Very unpolished. The Bible app is much better. The only thing this has over it (Bible app), is the selection of catholic Bibles and scripture study aids.

After all these glowing reviews, I am sorry to be negative, but I find this app too hard to use. All I want is to be able to read a chapter of the Bible and then read some explanatory notes to make its meaning clear to me. It looks as if there is a wealth of material there, but I cannot find my way around it. Uninstalled with regret.

Its just the best spiritual resource i have been searching for years though i haven't explioted it for long. Still getting used to it but so far its not compared to any other spiritual app which i have come across.
