App hasn't been updated since 2013 & it shows in it's uselessness. Very disappointing. Should just be removed. However, I have noticed that a lot of people seem to be confusing this with Verizon wireless backup, which it is NOT. It IS supposed to be backup and access to your Verizon FIOS/cable home account, not your mobile.
Cannot Sign In. I've reset my password AND username multiple times and still getting the same message that it's incorrect. This is ridiculous, it's the only way I can get my hundreds of contacts back since the Cloud doesn't have them and I can't sign in on the app. Seriously a huge waste of my time and patience!! If you could rate less then a star, trust me I would have.
I just upgraded to a new phone and tried to log in and upload my saved/backed up contacts but this app isn't letting me. At first I though I must be using the wrong username and password or typing it wrong but I double checked and it's not me. Through research it seems it's not just me, lot's of people are having this issue. No way to get past it from what I can tell. Even deleted and re-installed it and that didn't work either.
From all the reviews I have been reading going back for months and the app still doesn't work. It says incorrect username or password. I'll just stick with Dropbox and Sugarsync. They work and I get more space that is free. Sorry guys. Cool phone, fast network, crappy app.
This app isnt working for anyone. It managed to work when I switched from iPhone and the first time I needed it to move everything to my new android back in September. Since, it has only said invalid username and password. I know this is not user error because I have the password written down from when it was working and also have it saved in the app with "remember me". This is a major issue Verizon. You are keeping your client's personal info and allowing them no access and not doing anything to fix it.
Guys after reading the reviews I'm surprised none of you asked. This app is no longer used by Verizon and has been REPLACED by the Verizon cloud. The ONLY reason it's still on the store is because there are phones out there where this is the only compatible app for their phone. As a Verizon rep I am informing you right now, this app is no longer in use and if you can run the cloud you are required to use that.
This is the most frustrating program I have ever encountered. It always gives "invalid password", can never log in on my phone. Have had to change PW about 4 times, (each time I try to login ). I can log in using my computer, but not my phone. Trying to buy a new phone but don't know how I'm gonna transfer my stuff. And Verizon support is the worse there is, no help there. It's great when you can actually reach a person, this is not easy, mostly luck!
As all other reviews are saying, the app won't let me log in. It says my username and password are invalid. I logged in to the website just fine 10 minutes before trying the app. Epic FAIL!
yup i have been on Liveperson chat with a helper (obviously in some CRAP godforsaken country) who didn't know diddli squat but just wasted my time like at least 40 min. & I am still not getting anything backed up. Why don't they have tech knowledgeable people from the USA doing it & stop using slave paid labor from God knows what crap country?? Then I uploaded VZ Backup but it won't let me sign on with my user name & pass & say it's invalid.
Invalid username /password seems to be the issue with most. Looks like it hasn't been working for at least a year now. Please tell us something or take the app down so people aren't wasting their time.
Says user name and password are wrong but I can log into My Verizon with them. Fix it and I'll give it another chance.
Get the "internet connection not found" error whether I'm on wifi, cell data, etc. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now. When I used "my Verizon" search for "restore contacts", it SAID TO USE THE BACKUP ASSISTANT APP, so if this app is not in use anymore, it would be great if they told us how to do it properly. I don't see any "Verizon cloud" app, nor is there an option in any of the My Verizon app menus that will let me transfer my contacts from a Windows phone to an Android. They don't run the same apps.
Like everyone says, this app is useless. You can't log in and there's no trouble shooting or options for help. You might as well download Candy Crush, it'll offer you the same amount of help backing up and restoring contacts.
I read what everybody else said and it is absolutely true. You cannot log on. This app is absolutely useless.
For a phone company you think they would get their backup assistant right... I am beyond frustrated with this worthless ap
I can't get into it or have information sent to me. I've even reset my my Verizon information
I wish I had read the reviews before wasting so much time trying to get it to log me in. It's obiously a broken app. that should be fixed or removed.
Won't accept username and password. Keeps saying incorrect when I am certain they are correct
Won't let you LOG in at all. Keeps giving invalid username/password error message. Won't let you make a new account. HORRIBLE APP. What a waste of time.
Refuses to accept my password, and doesn't have a 'forgot password' function. Makes me regret getting a new phone.
So I got the 25gb but can't get into the app. Big rip off
Like others have stated there are login issues & no way to request the info. Looks like I should dump this app.
It doesn't work went to talk to a Verizon person spend 30 waiting to get a person and when finally did we talked what is wrong and stayed they will email in a week to tell me what is wrong. It's been a month now and still no email Doesn't work. No one will help
Needs better settings. Can login. It logs into your fios account. Need settings to stop upload on dataplan and do wifi only
I had used this app before with previous phones,but now it doesn't work, it tells me to connect to internet even though I am connected to wi fi
Same issue as everyone else. Cannot login even though username and password are correct. Even the desktop app is crap
Can't even log in. As others said. This goes back for months. And they haven't fixed. Despicable. Especially when you are a company like Verizon.
Where did all my backups go that were previously stored on the backup assistant site?
