The internet is great, but the TV quality is horrible. 8 have to use the app to "reset"/"reboot" the box almost weekly. From. time to time black boxes appear that cover most of the screen. I attempted to call Customer service to only reach the automated system which trouble shoots and attempts to fix the issue. I could not reach a person.
Almost always unusable. For most things you'd want to do it just opens up an in-app web browser which is unfortunate since their website is also unusable. Links often dont work, and doing something as simple as unsubscribing from a service add-on isn't possible in the app despite their documentation because the links don't exist. Incredible that a company this big has the worst website and app experiences imaginable. Comcast is just an bad as a company, but their website at least works.
For a cable/tech/steaming company, this app is horrible. Constantly getting kicked off and then my recent channel list is missing the channel I was just watching before being kicked off. Also, the apps seems to pick and choose when to display channels in my favorite channels list, as well as any channels.
Horrible!! If it's not broke don't fix it!! Unable to view any information about my bill online. Can't even pay through 'my dashboard'. It was so much easier receiving a bill by mail then to have somebody decide for me that you're going paperless, that doesn't work. The choice should be the consumers. When I'm able to see my bill on dashboard it's due the next day because it doesn't show up till the day before. Would like to receive my bill by mail. Some old ways are better than the new.
Fios overall is good, but over the years has gone down a botch with short term signal drops / outages. They only cause 20-30 second delays but is still annoying. Also, when your credit card expires, notifications are sent to email nowhere land (spam). So you're guaranteed a late fee. Nice revenue generator. Why not send card notifications to the mobile? Payment confirmations are sent there ! But those aren't time sensitive. The two notification methods should be switched.
Fios service is the worst I've experienced. I can't speak to a live person, when calling FiOS, I'm connected to Verizon who transfer me to an automated system that is programed to hang up on you. Also, the FiOS chat still doesn't give you the right help needed. I spent hours being transferred back and forth from Verizon to FiOS without any results . When I did speak to a FiOS rep, they were very rude. I want to cancel this service !!! but there isn't a way to do so, without filing a complaint.
I accidentally deactivated Home Network Protection and attempted to reactivate it. All it says now in the app is, Activation in process... Hours later and it still says this. Multiple router reboots and multiple reinstalls of app. It has taken away my ability to manually set parental controls directly from within my router by saying I must use this app to do so. Very frustrating!!! Will the activation happen or is this a glitch with the app? Who can I contact? NOT RESETTING MY ROUTER !!!!
I like to use this app to control my wifi on family devices. It used to work well but I have been having nothing but trouble with it for over a month. Verizon told me to buy a new router which is $300. I did that and it did not help. I've had a Verizon technician visit. He switched to router again and got it working, but not completely. I have had engineers working on this issue for 3 weeks. They told me to reach out to the app designer. The number they gave me is Mcafee. They require a pin to talk to them. I tried my Verizon pin and it is not being accepted. I can no longer turn my kids devices on and off. Sometimes it works but most of the time it does not, so when I turn my kids' laptops off, I cannot turn them back on for homework. This causes much stress and strife in the family. I may have to buy a Bark device to control what my Fios service should be supplying. It stopped showing me what devices are on line. It tells me that nothing is connected to my wifi even though many are. They are also letting devices on by assigning devices new ip addresses even when I've blocked that device.
I have found the app to be impossible to use. Can't even log in because the password reset feature doesn't work. I call Verizon and talk to customer service for absolutely everything I need - they seem to be incapable of producing a smoothly functioning app.
Horrrrible app. Since I've had Verizon for my internet I've never had the app work properly. Constantly has an error message screen and when it doesn't it won't let me see the full details of my bill and hasa different error message. The log in screen loads indefinitely.
Works sometimes, I'm very unhappy with this App. Have too many log in issues, changing passwords constantly, bill pay should have been made easy but, they will bill your credit card multiple times then you gotta call all kinds of departments for a refund, but if you have service with them, don't expect the money back. Only credit to you next bill. I would not recommend.
I like the app for its pay options and to view my bill and i can watch my tv subscriptions any where. Not to mention. sometimes I don't wanna speak with a representative but when it's necessary I am always satisfied with the verbal service I receive. So please don't change a thing.
This app does not work. It's worthless. Doesn't connect up to my account correctly. Doesn't show me my voice mails. It won't let me manage TV, internet or phone features! It does somehow let me know how much my bill is though! Funny that....!
Always says activation in progress for my home network protection.. paying for a service that I cannot use. Talked to CS for 2 hours got another router and still didn't help. Mind you I've deleted the app and reset the router a lot to try and fix it like they told me to do. That's always the answer ugh think I may switch to Xfinity after many years with Fios. Update Developers left me a message to write them and never replied back. developers I've sent 5 emails you give me here. Never a reply.
App nearly useless for checking phone call log. It's clear Verizon does not want users to be able to block calls. They've done nothing to support this aside from useless apps like this and a few pay-for apps or add-ons that should be free. Blocked calls should NOT route to voicemail, as unwanted calls simply accumulate there and become a nuisance.
The most un-user friendly app out there. Worst experience. Changed password numerous times. Still won't let me log in. It is a scam. They make it extremely difficult on purpose so you can not pay your bill.
Both the app and the site have issues loading most of the time. I go to pay my bill and nothing loads. I guess they don't want to be paid? Also used the app for live support chat when I was having issues with service and the tech was very nice and helpful but the client closed and disconnected me from chat 5 times.
I have to keep verifying my identity and it locks after 3 times within 24 hours wt# is so annoying specially if we need log in and passwords for everything. I think Verizon needs just 1 app for all Verizon stuff than branch for different Verizon services if there is one please allow me to rate this again.
This app seems to no longer work properly. I used to use the parental controls to manage my child's internet use but that function no longer works on the app. I try to put in my parental control parameters but the app deletes them all after about 10 minutes. It is too bad because us parents really need this function but the developers don't seem to be able to make it work.
This "update" removed the icon completely from my phone. The only listing is under the Manage section and there's no way I can copy the icon to where I can swipe over to use the app. Useless right now.
CVV for Amex has four digits. the system requirement was three digits. Additionally, they wanted my address as the billing address not the actual billing address for the card. Confusing. It took a while if trial and error for it to work.
Never works just buffers for 10 minutes. Then they decide to connect all verizon services so no matter what I need, I'm always connected to the wireless help line. I'm so frustrated. I've been attempting to log on for 1.5 hours because I have no home internet service and was repeated connected to Verizon wireless. Verizon is too expensive to have customers treated like this.
Not at all obvious how to navigate the app. Call back was an option but did not follow through--very misleading then dumped back into holding for help. Customer support is definitely hit or miss in terms of knowledge and support. Very disappointing customer service this time. Feels like customers are not priority. When you ask for help, she says she can't and says go online for billing that in every other company can be addressed over the phone or with assistance as you navigate online.
Verizon is the WORST. None of their apps work, they give you a reward and then there is no way to redeem it. They pass you around on the phone until you get stuck on hold and have to hang up.
Horrible app! I got logged out while chatting with support and was unable to get back into the conversation. Most troubleshooting steps are just a waste of time.
Absolutely garbage i don't recommend using the app!! One day I was logged out of it for some reason and then wasn't able to log in anymore.. which made it to where I had to make one time payments every month instead of the auto-pay that was set up. (which caused a late payment and late fee) Even if I reset the password it still doesn't let me log in. I called customer support and they said they would transfer me to someone but was hung up on DO NOT GET THIS APP
