Vero - True Social

So far my experience is a zero even though I gave 2 stars. 2 stars for beautiful looking layout & the no ads, no algorithm premise. However after my initial enrolling I was not able to download a profile pic, add a profile description, or post a pic. Support was very quick to respond so that's a big plus. On the downside, they gave me a big list of things to check on my end that I'm still deciding if I'll take the time or not. Also it's very hard to navigate the app & figure out how it works.

For some reason, the app is super slow and laggy, it does not even loads the feed, and if I want to change my profile pic, it will remain "working" without doing anything at all. Furthermore, if I want to search or explore content within the app, it will simply get stuck no matter what, it always happens and it doesn't matter if I'm connected using my mobile data or WiFi, it also stays the same if I force close the app and open it again.

Updating to 4 stars. Can't edit my original review for some reason, app improved after I updated it, still I think there's a lack of discoverability, the featured profiles never seem to change. If they can nail the curation and get a more steady stream of interesting content on the "discover" section it could be a compelling app.

The app itself is wonderful, ive been a user of it for a few years and i really enjoy it. I'm a photographer and a writer, so photo sharing apps are my ideal platform. Lately nothing will load and my posts never go through. I reinstalled and now im unable to log back in and im unable to create a new account. I hope it gets fixed soon because i really enjoy the app. Edit:im unable to login to my account or create a new one. So i can't send a bug report...

Would not let me use my Gmail account....kept saying it was invalid. Signed up using an alternate email. Once signed in would not let me choose a profile picture. Signed out and when trying to sign back in it initially said it could not connect to the server, then told me my credentials were incorrect. I triggered a password reset email and after changing (and saving) my password it STILL says my credentials are incorrect. This app is pathetic at best if this is how difficult it is to use.

I'm stunned by the number of morons who think this is the Pro-Trimp propaganda platform, but i guess they can't tell the difference between "true" and "truth." Ironic. Anyway, I love the concepts of this app. I signed up when it first launched, but then gave up because it was too buggy. Still buggy, but has definitely improved. Keep working on it!

I always rated Vero 5 stars but at this point, I'm close to just deleting my profile. The app is no longer recognising most of the media folders on my phone and this is sporadic so you can't isolate an issue. Notifications don't load, the app crashes more frequently and after probably 7 different bug reports sent and 5 attempts at a fresh install, all I got was a "we're looking into the problem" mail a few times. No more interaction, nothing.

The most important for me is CS/TS and they have a very patient, knowledgeable, and process-oriented team. They don't hesitate to escalate or contact another team, and they'll work with you to solve issues and bugs together. This is what CS/TS is all about, not "reach the quota and highest survey score, then go home". Kudos to everyone. I hope you keep things this way.

Ok so my previous review was good but add this update .This is a cool app I do like it but it's not the one everyone is talking about apparently they have taken the name "truth social" and changed it to "true" and benefited from it..this app is cool but not the one your friends are talking about. However try it out it's cool so it could be the next big thing

Help. Everytime i try to register, it says: "Error while sending confirmation code. Sending the activation code has failed. Please make sure the phone number you provided is valid." I'm very sure that I've inputted the right phone number. I've also tried putting a different phone number and it still says the same error over and over again. How do I solve this problem?

The Future of Social Media Wow, this App could be the ultimate social media outlet, I very much dislike the corporate authoritarian Facebook App so I wanted an Alternative & found this, this App fits my style & vibe all the way. It could use some more content, & needs to fix bugs like laggy performance & crashes, but I know this is a smaller brand without a team of thousands unlike Facebook. I hope Vero keeps going strong to become the Future of Social Media & Technology, I'm definitely staying

The UI is very very slopppy and slow. Which makes it almost impossible to use.

It seems doesn't support indonesian number anymore. I had deleted my account on 2021 and now i want to re-sign up. When i tried to input my Indonesian number it keep telling me that the number is invalid

I would love to be able to filter out all of the Introductions. I love the layout and lack of algorithm.

I want to like it, but it's super buggy. Even trying to delete my account says "failed, try again later." I guess I'm stuck with Facebook.

reduce 1 star. comeback for a while after many month not using this, nothing new after update. everytime open app still slow loading images. blank image for about 1 minutes for waiting it to download before load. trust me, if your server like this, you will never have many user..never beat other social media like fb too

It was good to get away from the other social media app, but now it doesn't work. Images are not showing up in my feed and searching hashtags gives me no results.

I accidentally deleted the app but will be downloading again. I'm going to focus most of my social media energy into this app. It's a breath of fresh air from IG and other social media sites. Lately I've been feeling sick when I get on IG. Idk what it is but I'm just repulsed by it. I hope the makers of Vero keep to their standard of true social networking as they grow. The platform is needed.

So many problems with the feed. It never loads the full stream. It's so frustrating because there's no good version of this app.

Incompetent support staff & somewhat dishonest, filled with bugs that have not been resolved for years. The design is cool, but has many flaws. This is lazily made, I do not recommend it.

I don't understand. I forget my password. I input my email address, but you said "there is no user" like that. I tried to sign up a new account, using that email. I can't because you said that "the email was using" 🙂 so funny and you keep sending promo. mail to that email and told me that "you are founder, so vero is free for life" blah blah 🤣

Great interface. No data mining & no ads are amazing. A threaded comment section would've been cool. Plus, I don't want someone to be notified of my personalized profile when they join Vero just because they have my phone number (there should be an option to disable this without going private). Otherwise amazing app

It lives up to being a true social, ad-free, simplistic design and easy to use as well as having lots of ingenious talents inside Vero but my Vero crashed for days, I tried unistalling and install it again but now I can't log in. Please fix these issues because I really like how Vero functions and it's purposes.

I don't know what the issue of these new social media apps is but I can't get through phone number confirmation, it says invalid parameters. Deserves 0 stars.

NO CONNECTION TO SERVER . It's been days that my timeline didn't refresh, so i logged my account out, and when i tried to log in back, it says "NO CONNECTION TO SERVER, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER." My internet connection is FINE, and i have no problem with my PHONE, why do i keep seeing this message? . Please FIX IT, don't tell us to report the bug by go to the settings, WE CAN'T EVEN LOG INTO OUR ACCOUNT, how do we report the bug? DUH! THIS IS THE REPORT!

Been using this app since the beginning... Keep hoping for it to get itself together.. Not happening... And now my feed is gone, replaced by "share your first post".... I've literally posted a hundred times... How many years before Vero gets right? And gets a translation feature?Geezus...

This app is nice looking but could definitely use an option to post just text.

It looks nice so far, very slow tho. Almost too slow.

Probably if not the best social media app I have ever used. I find this app more relaxing than instagram or any other app I used for sharing my photo's. This app deserve 5 Stars. I would recommend it to everyone.
