VFR GPS Airplane Navigation
The Map Screen requires a temporary data connection for automatic downloading.
This GPS based system is a quick and extremely simple full Guidance and Navigation tool for pilots to enjoy the view from the sky without wasting precious flying time with complicated navigation instruments. Searches and easily provides guidance to any airport, Radio VOR, or Point of Interest(any LAT/LON combination) in the world.
The Navigation screen works well on either a smartphone or tablet computers. If you fly multiple planes, you will have one portable familiar navigation tool that you can rely upon. It only takes 5 to 10 minutes to learn how to get to any airport, anywhere in the world. Search airport descriptions, identifiers, or nearest lists. Pick a spot on the map and with a single press insert it into your flight plan and immediately see the bearing, bearing line, and distance to that location from your current GPS location.
Search for Airports, VOR's, and NDB's. Search for "nearest airports to any airport in your flight plan" capability from the flight plan screen.
Unique Where Screen. Designed to aid the pilot by providing information to aid location identification to ATC.
You can export, import and edit your flight plan on your device or save and edit multiple versions on any computer. This is easily done to any cloud service, such as Google Drive.
EASY TO USE:
Press NEAREST for the nearest 50-100 runways, press (select) the airport you want, and follow the bearing or track on the map, verbally if you wish. This App shows a single prompt (R)ight or (L)eft and the number of degrees, Eg. "L005" for turn left 5 degrees. Easy. It also shows Ground Track, Bearing, Ground Speed, Altitude, Distance to Airport and Estimated Time of Arrival at current speed.
Press MAP and you have a moving map with "Press and Go." With the map visible, press any place on the map and the Lat/Lon from that location will be stored in the destination list.
Choose to immediately navigate to that location. In this case the navigation bearing line will be redrawn. Edit the name of the location in the Flight Plan screen at any time
If you check the MAP screenshot on this page, you can see that to navigate to your destination, just turn to the plane until the track (black with pointer) line is coincident with the RED Bearing line.. The bearing line can be re draw to start from your current location anytime.
Any airport in our world database can be found by ICAO or a word or phrase from the Description. For example, "paris" would return 25 runways to select from.
VIEW YOUR FLIGHT.
There is a point logging feature. In the air, every 30 seconds a Lat/Lon point is stored along with Altitude and Ground Speed. The Point Log can be emailed to your computer and opened with Excel or other compatible program. A hyper link is included to see that location on Google Maps.
There is an automatic Log Book feature that automatically records time in the air. The Log Book stores your flight hours as well as your Type Aircraft and Tail Number. The Log Book can be started ir stopped manually.

AUTOMATIC LOGBOOK
The Automatic Logbook feature uses a ground speed value greater than 30 KTS to determine when you rotate and a speed value less than 5 KTS to determine when you have landed.

Used this app successfully for a multitude of years, recently discovered it has an issue of "can't connect to Google servers" when I try to enter an address or bring up the aerial map. As a paying customer, quite disappointed.
Won't open, have set permissions, uninstalled, reinstalled, won't open.
Easy to use
for some reason it has stopped listing the airport in the flight plan page and it will not find it when i type in say clb2 or hanover, before it would give me the airport but in the middle of flying from one place to another it has stopped fixed it self, working great again... great app love it, better than my dynon screen

Can't open this app waste
Previous version functioned beautifully but today's May 7th update (ver 1.93a) immediately fails giving a "stopped" error whenever I click on it. (Installed on a BLU LIFE-8XL). I'm hoping for a prompt fix or a version roll back... When it's working it's a wonderful, helpful app. I'll adjust my ratings accordingly depending on the Dev's resolution to the problem. EDIT: Because of the rapid response from such a dedicated Dev I'm pleased to indicate the new update (ver. 1.93B) has solved the previous issue. Thanks John... Rating adjusted to Five Stars.
Keeps crashing after the latest update
Have used this app for some years with excellent reliability until a recent upgrade problem with Australian database. Excellent service to regain use.
Not working after update
Had a problem but contacted the publisher and was amazed at the trouble they went to to sort the problem - app working awesome now - throughly recommend
It's good and simple, but I have 2 comments: first doesn't have sectional maps. Second no airport charts/diagrams.
Works great, developer is very responsive and fixes issues fast.
It used to be an ok app never something great but a functional idea using google maps but since the last update when i try to open the map it crases.
Used it for the first time yesterday on a cpl nav flight in Western Australia. Very easy to use with a large display which is easy to read whilst flying. Great app. Well done.

I'm a pilot. This is the coolest navigation platform! Function and design are Perfect. Map and Plotter Perfect! This just Rocks!
I used the free version for about 2 weeks before I found out about the paid version. Of the many free apps I tried this one was the only one that I actually used regularly. It is very handy, and is very much worth the cost of it. I actually had a few bugs that I experienced, and some small ideas to improve the app, and the developer was eager to fix the issues and even implement some of the things I suggested. (even emailing me the software package update before it was pushed to the play store to fix my issue) Definitely recommend to any pilot or aspiring pilot. Really good experience.
If you're a pilot who enjoys thes basic "grass roots" of GA flying, yet, also wants to take advatage of all that technology has to offer, this is the VFR APP for you. Having used several other apps during actual VFR, I find THIS app THE most "PRACTICAL INTELLIGENTLY DESIGNED AND,WHAT I MOSTLY LIKE ABOUT IT, IT IS VERY [USER FRIENDLY]..."

As I just recently upgraded my primary device, I came here to install this app again. However, upon my arrival, I discovered the app hasn't been updated in 2 years. In an attempt to learn more about why from the developer's website, my browser indicated that there were a few security issues & warned me about the risks of proceeding. In addition to there not being any connection encryption to the site, the predominant remaining security issue is (as displayed): NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID.
