VGM Player

This is great app now that I figure out how to play back my favourite Sega Mega Drive soundtracks and its so easy to use, the only complaint I have is the lack of options, I'd like to be able create a playlist for for the various systems and game genres. Other than that, this really is a fantastic app that has allowed me to continue my passions for VGM in it's native form.

Very nice VGM player. Straight to the point and no unnecessary features. A suggestion is this player is geared only toward VGM, hence adding support for other files such as P7C would be great instead of making a separate player. I would pay for such a player supporting various video games 8-bit and 16-bit music with a simple layout like VGM player. Oh, and it processes the VGM files well and they sound great.

Does what it says on the tin. Looks like this has been compiled from the latest VGM libraries as it seems to support everything I throw at it from Arcade through to Turbogfx VGM/Zs, unlike other VGM players. Interface is a bit kludgey and playback options such as repeat number and maximum file playback time would be nice however. Fix at least the latter and I'd give it a 5 instead of a 4.

I love it! I use this app on a daily basis and haven't run into any issues yet. The one thing I would change is that I wish it could load the thumbnails it uses when it plays the songs as folder icons.

Ya now i can rock with king of fighters while taking dumps ty. I ll take one star bc its true u cant use loops properly. you can loop one song but it will end and start from beginning not loop like ig. Winamp plugin did it on my PC so im sure u can.

It's a simple and light vgm player, but it doesn't seem to be able to read loop points. So the repeat setting doesn't actually loop music indefinitely without breaks.

Awesome app for playing .vgm music, which is what I really wanted. The only suggestion I could offer would be the ability to make and save custom playlists within the app.

LOVE the simple interface. The playlist on the notification is great. Good being able to set a root dir. Wish it supported more formats so I could use it for all my VGM.

Other than the fact that you have to download the VGMs, which are a little hard to find certain songs, it's a very nice app. Plays the music nicely.

Works flawlessly for me (Android 10). Also works great with Android Auto. Downloaded project 2612 and threw it into the library and I'm set for everything I could want. Only request I can think of would have is an option to control shuffle/repeat in Android auto.

Does exactly what I need it to do! I downloaded the Lagrange Point OST and this solved the problems I was having opening it. I know I can count on this software in the future.

It plays the vgz and vgm files perfectly, the sound is crisp and no skipping or clipping, very nice! Now if only it could convert vgm/vgz files to midi or mp3.

I choose my root folder, it only shows one file. why cant players like this just use a file browser like every other normal player? edit: at least the one file that it saw played well.

Does exactly what it needs to do, and I couldn't be happier. Sega Genesis music sounds fantastic with this! Shinobi 3 and Contra Hard Corps especially.

Plays just about any VGM format I throw at it. Perfect!! Only thing I wish was that it had more options to enhance sound.

I've found this app very useful in playing soundtracks in the original format from videogames in the early '90s (e.g. YU-NO, Final Fantasy, etc.).

Very simple to use. Intuitive interface. Quick.

A good, no frills VGM player. But there really are no frills; no chip or frequency settings, which is unfortunate.

It works great. Play all the formats of vgm I have. NES, neo geo, and some arcade tittles.

Plays all the great Genesis VGZ files perfectly. Loving it.

Enabling the equalizer while audio is playing creates a massive spike in audio volume.
