VHS Camcorder

This app is perfect for making retro photos and videos. I use it way more than I use my normal camera. The filters are great, but making your own is even better! Can I suggest making a custom filter saving option? I think it would be easier to save them so you don't lose anything while switching from filter to filter. Other than that, this app is amazing!✨

Almost perfect. Just one tiny problem. You can edit dates on imported and recorded videos. But if you have the date onscreen, the time will be with it too. Which isn't editable. It stays accurate to the time on your phone. So if you import an old video, say at night, you couldn't correctly spoof it unless you import your video at the time it would seem realistic. Other than that, it works perfectly

I purchased the app, it's working well so far. I have a Samsung s10+. Sound is great and import quality is good. I have yet tried to upload into my Instagram feed or stories. The zooming in and out features work well also. Its a fun app to use 🙂 There are some technical issues. First, the app needs better user friendly interface. Second, when rotating from portrait to landscape or vice versa, the date/time display will not always adjust. Third, more filters needed.

The pixels of the glitchy/grainy effect are so consistent that it isn't realistic looking. It also doesn't allow you to remove it. However, you can move it around to different areas of the screen and make it more intense which is a plus. Overall, it would be nice if the grain effect was more random or there was more user contol of it. This way, it would be harder to identify that the filmer is using this specific app and not a real VHS camcorder.

Really nice, use this app a lot. Looks pretty accurate to a vhs camcorder and the zoom is super smooth. Gives great results! However a Few drawbacks: When you shoot in portrait mode it does not retain the square(ish) dimension, which is a real shame. Also the orientation of the controls remain in landscape! This seems like some lazy programming and would like to see this fixed please. Also, even on my note 9 it is not the quickest to boot up and get going. Fantastic but for these points

Very awesome app, I love it. One small thing I would change would be it's ability to read imported videos. For example, it would be great if it read the meta-data from the files and adjusted the dates and time on the screen accordingly. That way, if I imported a video, it would automatically put in the correct information on the screen.

Really love this app! It's great. There's a bunch of neat features (admittedly I don't really use many of them) the only thing I would like to see added is the ability to import existing photos to the app in the way you can import video so that you can have existing photos have the effect applied as well but other than that it's great for if you want that old retro vhs feel. That one extra feature would make it an easy 5 stars for me, as of now is 4.75!

This app is great, and definitely worth paying for, offering MANY features that many other apps might not. It is easy to use, but has a help page in the menu for all features. I think one way the app could be improved could be if you could move the date and time stamp, and the personal text (with a reset button to bring back to default position).

I paid for this and all i got was a crappy app that crashes every 3 seconds. Give me back my money! Update: From one to four stars! Kudos to the team for being very responsive to complaints and concerns of the users. After updating, the app got a lot better! No more crashing and hanging, no more bugs as well. 😊 Thank you!

I bought this app and I love it! The effects look real, the editing filters give it a pop, and it just looks aesthetic. But I have one issue, a few months ago the spoof date wouldn't show up, turns out I needed to update it. I had this issue again last week and thought I needed to update it, no problem. But the date still wouldn't show up. I've tried going on the menu but nothing will work. Still, this app is fantastic and I don't regret buying it, but that was just a minor problem.

Really rad app. I shoot analogue video, real VHS, and this comes very close. The bottom film reel glitch on this though is a bit too much; real VHS doesn't have that many scratches. I wish you could add with a switch which layers were added to the video. Also, se analogie video switch things would be cool, like transitions and fades, distortions, picture in picture, etc. Please develop an analogue video mixer app!!! Would be awesome. Good work guys.

Great app. I wish it had better exporting features. Im trying to import a video that's 2 mins and it's only exporting clips from 34 - 46 seconds. It doesn't give you any notification that's it's processing. Also once exported, the video is at 720p and sped up. Which I don't mind. Overall This component needs to improved. Advice appreciated.

I work with the earlier camcorders that this app tries to emulate very regularly, and I can confidently say that it does a superb job of recreating the retro look of tape. It's clear that a lot of time and thought was put into the little details that most people wouldn't even notice. A fun app that happens to be top-notch at what it does. Love it!

this is great. it really does bring me back to when we use to watch our home videos from our vhs. i love it. i think to a nice suggestion would be to somehow add a mechanical sound effect when zooming in and out to make it feel even more authentic (im not sure if technically capable but would be a nice little feature to have the audio distort when zooming or the default zoom sounds)

So, this app was working great for me until today. I recorded something and now the audio sync is entirely out of time. I use this app to record live songs and so the audio sync is incredibly important. Had this problem not arisen, I'd rate 5 stars, but seeing as how there's no way to fix it, even when I rerecord, I am quite disappointed.

Great so far. Got the paid version and unlike some users, I don't have any issues on S8. Satisfied with the purchase. I like how you can import videos. Also the features are pretty much like an 80-90s VHS camera so dont expect crazy filters or stickers or any thing like that. Basic zoom in/out, change the date, title bar.

3 STAR RATING FROM PREVIOUS 5 STARS (04-02-2022) I downgraded the rating because I can no longer save what I change in the settings. I tried changing the settings such as, 'TITLER', 'SHOW DATE ON THE VIDEO', etc. However, the changes doesn't apply whenever I go back after changing the settings. I have already tried uninstalling and installing the app, and clearing the cache and memory but to no avail. I hope there will be a fix in the next update. UNIT: Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G Android 12

Edit: the below issue was with my phone updating. For whatever reason it didn't recognize the app anymore. The dev suggested deleting it and reinstalling. This fixed it immediately. I've changed the review back to 5 stars as it's an excellent app. This is really weird. I've been using this app just fine with my galaxy note 8 for months and now all I get is an error when I open it that says it isn't supported. Has something changed or is this just an easily solved technical issue?

This is a pretty cool app that I'm enjoying playing with. The problem comes when importing videos, it plays them in slow motion when importing so everything is sped up when playing normally. It also doesn't import photos, needs the file browser and has no gallery support. The custom text field would be great if you could fit more on the screen (smaller font maybe?)

I really love working with the app but seeing as I film things in portrait mode 100% of the time, I would love a 1:1 or 3:4 ratio option IN the app itself so I can make things look properly retro & square. I don't mind cropping out parts of the video to accommodate the ratio and would love if there was an option to do so. Rn I have to go through one video editor and then jump to this one to get my desired effect and it's honestly too time consuming!

I love this app and it's pretty cool, I like to make videos on this, but despite my use of this app on the Galaxy Note 3, this is one of the problems, I noticed that there has been a bit of lag in the first few videos when I make it. See if example when I opened up the app and then I try to make a the first video the audio and visuals are out of sync.
