Via - Web Browser

This app is everything I need in a browser. However there's few problems: 1. Night mode - Sometimes the night mode doesn't work and I have to toggle it multiple times to make it work. The brightness of the video is too low. There should be a way to modify it. 2. The tabs - It'd be good if we are able to restore tabs. Sometimes I just acidently close them and it just becomes annoying. 3. Cloud storage - Being able to store all my history, bookmarks, tabs online without losing it.

Light on RAM and storage (disk installation 30MB or less is what I consider as light), ideal for mobile network use. Its also customizable and includes options not seen in other mobile browsers. Now for some issues: customization layout is annoying on a small screen (5.45"). In portrait mode, the percentage and number levels are not visible. In landscape mode, they are visible but I can barely see what I'm adjusting. I also can't find the Favorites section. Is it in another name? Where is it?

Because of the new character limit the google play store has and Google's policy prevents links to other sites, I can't make my usual in depth reviews here anymore. However, on most devices, this is one of the best browsers I've used. It's small, the ad blocker works almost perfectly and the browser is very fast. The only issues I have are videos in hd have buffering issues and specifically on my tablet (hp7, running android 4.1.2), most websites don't work properly and the browser is unstable.

The best. The lightest browser for sure (specialy for low end phones). You can literally use it with one hand. It has Options that aren't available in any other browser...so functional, minimal, and fast. If you press home button for some seconds, you can search! Without the need to stretch your finger and reach the address bar. Thanks.

This is the best lite browser I have used, and I have tried many. Most, while small in size, compromise features and usability. Via, in the other hand, has no such compromises, and offers multiple useful features, such as the ability to choose custom user interface, import bookmarks, ad blocker, and built in QR scanner. It is also highly customizable, and allows you to save/export/import your settings. It is speedy, doesn't bog down my phone, and has great privacy features. Useful! I love it!

A lot of functionality in a small (5mb) app. Excellent. But after a week of using it, the app data has bloated to nearly 90mb. Unlike app cache, it can't be cleared without an app reset. So please look into how data can be cleared easily. Otherwise, if it takes up so much space, what's the point of a lite browser?

This browser is amazing ! It’s smaller, lighter, adfree, no bloatware with lots of important feature. It’s one of the best browser in the world ! I hope it stays like this in the future too.

Lightweight browser that is easy to set up and does what it says on the tin. Very pleased with this app and would recommend it to others. I tried it a few yrs ago and it didn't work for me at that point. But this current version works perfectly. It no longer crashes and has many useful features. 5 stars, easily.

Compatible with my outdated phone. One of the apps that can see through a videos source file link, giving the user a way to specifically download a video file. Everytime a video cannot be downloaded, I use this app to show the source code video links. Works all the time. The only thing that keeps me from making it my main browser app is that this app is not a specifically "video downloader browser" I think.

Now after last via browser update: when playing videos in some websites it doesn't allow the volume and brightness to be toggled by sliding up/down, and before the update it used to work. Suggestion: it'd be nice if you have a widget for the app's QR reader function (for an even quicker access).

Best browser app. I was searching for some lite browser as chrome is a mess. but this app is mindblowing. Such minimal and full packed with features. I disabled chrome and this is my default browser now. Thanks Via Browser Team.

Great browser, I use it all the time. But please allow a way to organize saved pages. I save a lot, and I mean a lot of pages for offline reading and it gets really hard to find the page I need, some folder organization like bookmarks would be useful.

I want to like this app as it's the best performing I've tried. However, when testing the ad blocking capability, with just the default filters, it blocks 89% of the ads. When I activate one of the subscription filter lists, it only blocks 9% of the ads. Either it's not working as it should, or it's selectively hand picking.

It was great at first, but was throwing an error and freezing when browsing history. Cleared the browsing data and now it doesn't work at all. Whenever I try to go to any url, it throws "java.lang.NullPointerException" and stops responding. Useless now.

Great feature set, option for images only with WiFi connection saves my data plan. Wish it were happy on my tablet, but it's tiny and fast on phone!

The colors of backgrounds & favorites are pale n so boring. And searching doesn't work most of time, although the wifi connection is fine, I always have to switch it to mobile data to work. Hope u fix this, it's really annoying. Tx

Thanks to the developers . You provided us this amazing browser with lot of features than big browsers in the play store . It is the best browser. But please update it because some websites not working in this browser. It's volume button control feature is amazing and also the feature of website convert to pdf is the best feature I ever used because in other browsers pdf not make properly by the browser but it will make perfect pdf.

I believe, Via is an absolute beast of a browser for its small size. Handles desktop mode really well and it is so clean and uncluttered. Also allows for saving pages offline and adblock. IMO one of the best and most underrated browsers here in PlayStore.

What's happened? When I click in a Favorites the screen became partially black with icons still appearing and a Slowdown that don't make sense, if possible I would like an answer or a solution. I'll try uninstall and reinstall the app.

Im broke but if i had the money i would definetely support the devs...this app is that good....everything from the UI to the responsiveness- fabulous.....i use it on my very old phone(j7 nxt)....and it works like it is a flagship....the dark mode is cool becuz its pitch black and saves battery on an amoled display......appreciate it devs...ur doing great.. One nitpick i have is Could u make tabs like they are on the desktop?...like in samsung internet. That would be great. Even so its amazing.

I wish I were to be able to adjust the maximum height of the pop-up menu when you hold a link. If you long-press a link, it'll bring up a pop-up menu ("Open in Background/Open in New Tab/etc.") which takes up 30% of my screen--and if I happen to be long-pressing a link on the bottom half of my screen, the "Open in Background" option will shift all the way to the top of my screen. It's quite a stretch ;w; Still the most customizable ad-blocking browser I've used to date. I highly recommend it.

Here's the thing: this is by far my favorite browser I've ever used. It has so many options and customizations, I can set it up exactly how I want it and I love that. But there's some dealbreakers. For one thing, any time I try to link anything to my Google account from this browser, I get permission denied. I also get "this browser isn't supported" at several sites. I want Via to be my default, but I always have to switch back to chrome because functionality is iffy :(

Near flawless browser. Only major complain I have is the way that Incognito Mode is handled, to be honest I prefer Chrome's approach in this regard because at the very least it won't make me lose all my tabs due to a miss-click or forgetting I've gone incognito for a brief second and closing the app. Also tabs randomly disappear, downloads don't start immediately and whether they start at all is a freaking gamble. (The pages take a bit more than necessary to load too, but I can live with that.)

Works perfectly on new and old phones as well. I have tried alot of browsers, this one is the lightest and fastest by far. It uses so little storage space and phone memory, and has almost all the features in it. I have stopped using chrome after I discovered Via Browser. Good job developers, thumbs up.

This was my light weight go-to light weight, fast, and (usually) JavaScript OFF browsing. With the last update, it started crashing when encountering certain code which I haven't deciphered yet, but certain pages or sites are pretty consistent on crashing it, while other things seem kind of random (like a Google search that answers a question with an image). I don't see others with the same issue so might device or use case specific? Don't know, but please investigate.

I really love the app. The only thing why it can't get 5 stars is because it doesn't have a download manager and uses system one. It would be great if you can create one. I understand you can't integrate it in the app but you can make it as a separate app.

I love the usability of the browser, but lately, I've been having some problems. When I open the browser, sometimes it doesn't take me to the previously opened page. The window is almost blank, not even showing me the Via logo. My tabs are all but gone. I don't have much choice but to tap on Home button and to go to history page to access all those pages. Please fix it.

The best browser I have tried so far. Just simply gets out of your way. Highly customisable. The nav bar hide on scroll is my favourite feature, perfect for article reading. Though I would prefer a simplified mode like in Brave. Also the ability to hide URL bar would be nice (replace it with a button to copy the URL to share it, for a new site I will use a new tab or homepage button, I don't need to know the URL always).
