Very good navigator, BUT it is way less practical than google Maps (no background or small-screen option, some new roads are not yet updated etc). If it gets as polished and practical as google Maps then it will be the best one for sure
App is good, very useful if you want to choose the route without tolls. Pay attention, that very often app mixes voice notification and map (left-right turns) map shows correctly, but voice advisor says opposite. Happens very often on SS and SP roads in Italy. Sometimes app doesn't indicate roundabout and crossroads properly. Generally very helpful.
Pls add a option to write name on saved routes and places. Then it will be my favorite navigation-app. Otherwise a functional app.
Navigation and route planning is good. The most annoying thing is that settings for my car are not transferred to the app under navigation and only a generic vehicle type can be entered when calculating the fuel and toll costs. If it did that, it'd be 5 stars.
Great app in general, but missing one very important feature: Android Auto API integration - it would make this app so much more valuable, because it could be used with cars that support Android Auto, such as newer Ford models with the SYNC system on their board computer. I would really appreciate it if this could be implemented in the very near future!
Registering and login was a bit of a pain, with the email arriving late and the login page being separate from the app. Adding Home and Work gave a few errors, and I had to login three times to make it work. The account page gives the chance to add the personal vehicle, with a great database of tyres too. I could not find any model of Opel though, besides Kadett. After the initial hiccups, I am quite happy to use the app because it gives speed limits. It would be great to work with OSM too.
Alternative to Google maps with a nice feature that it uses GPS to show your speed. There is a bug though, all the speed limits are wrong in the UK. In a 30mph zone, the limit is shown as 19mph! This means the speed limit warning constantly gives false positives.
A bunch of crashes and recurrent bugs that aren't solved despite the time passing. Ie: no way to add your car as always results on 'an error has occurred'. A putty as overall route planning with costs feature is fairly good.
Useless. Gets stuck when calculating route. Only use is for providing costs (toll charge, etc).
I live less than 2 miles from the motorway but after calculating the route it shows route which avoided motorways. More options only offers avoid motorways, there is no option that favours motorways. I have been in touch with Michelin to try to resolve this but to no avail as it almost feels like they are looking at a different app. I am running Android 10. So where do I go from here? Well I guess I must abandon Michelin and do a Google like so many others have.
Favourites not properly transferred from web to the app. I have some routes defined with options like toll avoiding etc. Once they are opened in the app these options are being ignored and cannot be even reaplied so all you get from your existing routes are the start end and via points... what a shame. Uninstalled after 1 hour
For driving on the continent it's likely to be pretty good, perhaps better than Google drive as speed limits are shown. The problem in UK I'd that the app interprets the speed limits from the online map as kmh rather than mph and applies 1.65 conversion factor showing incorrect value as a result.
What a terrible idea. I can't rate the app properly as someone thought it would be a good idea to disable the headphone jack. As a biker I use audio navigation via 3.5mm jack but this option doesn't exist. What was the reasoning behind this massive flaw? It looked OK but I have no idea if it's any good due to the disabled headphone jack. I still can't believe that someone thought that this was a good idea. Oh well my search continues
Was the best until recent updates. Now the app doesnt automatically save your route when you close the app. And if you plan a route and go onto satnav.. then open a different app when at one of your stops, the app crashes, then on restart the app has cleared the route again. Why doesnt this app save anymore?
Showing the wrong speed limits, so if have notifications set for overspeed, it just keeps beeping and you can't stip it if you're driving, except having to stop. the voice is very robotic and bland. its good for free, just needs some refining.
Not perfect, I mostly use it to calculate french tolls but I drive a van and it gives car prices. Van is about 1.5 times car rate so I can at least get a rough guide, but the option of choosing the class of vehicle would be an advantage.
poor. constant crashing when going under a tree canopyor whem tryimg to liad an ad. being used on galaxy s10. keeps putting me on a toll road when selected option is for no tolls. unstable, ignored selected options. actual mileage and eta consistently wrong. as a result, actual arrival was 3 hours longer than stated and 150milesnlonger journey than expected on a 1350 mile journey. crashes when rerouting do not rely on this ap
Needs to integrate with Android Auto. Good app for pre planning but ultimately pointless in any modern car as does not integrate with Android Auto or Apple Car Play so can't be played through in-car systems. Therefore unused and will remain so unless/until it gets this functionality
Impossible to log in into account. Speed limit is shown in mph although setting is in km. In top of this the speed limit in trajects is shown 130 mph (230km/h). Lol, best way to loose your licence, car and spend some time with the police. I'll go back to Google.
Need to change speed to high can't drive at those speeds in the US plus directions arn't full doesn't say like directions on right or you have arrived at your destination also it has km we does use km in the us.Does give better directions than other apps until the end of directions.I have complained about this before.Example of too high speed turn right 80mph.
They made the effort to load toll prices but you're not capable to set your vehicle's height. The toll total was off by 100% but if I lie saying I have a caravan, the toll is calculated correctly. A very expensive mistake. I should have used maps..
Dreadful! I thought it would be a good idea to have the app as I love the website version....WRONG! The app is appalling, inflexible, slow and very disappointing.
Not practical at all. Looked at route planning for a trip I'm thinking of taking and ViaMichelin said it was almost twice as long of a trip as Google Maps... 16.5hrs vs 9hrs40mins... And the routes appeared visually identical from the overview. Not sure if I messed something up in settings or what but that was a no go for me. Also finding addresses in the US seems more complicated than it should be.
