This app constantly kicks you off and it's so bloody annoying. It messes with your pay this is very very frustrating!!
This app consistently stops working, the app eats through the battery, it freezes or seizes up the phone. I have a new phone so it's not my phone. About half the time it'll tell you to go left verbally and right with the arrow or vice versa. Other times the screen just goes black and the person keeps talking. Most recently I get the text that there are shifts available but when I go to the app said shifts are not on the calendar.
incompetent mangers,rental issues, no road closures or traffic update. Uber and Lyft do better job keeping they drivers safe.
App is not working to select schedule. It keeps saying "System Error" every time a shift is selected and it causes alot of us to loose the shift we want.
This app for us Drivers in SLC was said to be a major improvement. There are some new features compared to the last app we had, but overall it has a lot more glitches, bugs, & issues. It uses a lot more Data to run than the last one too. The scheduling portion makes it VERY DIFFICULT to know if/when a selected shift is actually grabbed or not. The whole of the app does not have a way to "reset" like other apps by going into "Recent Apps" or "Open Apps", closing it, and going back in.
Just stop... The app will override volume controls and set the volume of the device to half. Give us the option to disable the beep for EVERY turn, because if you deviate from it's expected route for any reason, it will constantly beep at every turn trying to reroute you. I understand that new rides need to have audio cues. But take a page from other ride-share apps and make it a separate notification. I've resorted to plugging in a "dummy" plug into the headphone jack to maintain my sanity...
As a company, it is the best ridesharing company for drivers. great customer service and they take care of their driver partners. but, their app could be a huge issue for any experienced driver to navigate. the app crashes all the time, navigation is confusing, and the worst is when the app runs on the background it could freeze your phone or worst make it act really weird. very common to restart the app during driving and it is super frustrating. they should really build an app like uber or lyft
First day as a driver. While the app is easy to use there are things VIA need to fix 1. Map Alerts are annoying and disruptive of bluetooth audio. It constantly bleep on turns. That should be optional 2. The app doesn't show earning breakdown so you don't actually know if they are taking 15% or more 3. Passengers usually come late and you have to call them before you cancel even on a shared ride that needs to change. 4. There's an option for waze but not Google map.
the company and it's policies are solid. but the app is lacking. it doesn't have any option to work with a destination filter like Uber, nor can you cash out if someone else is using the vehicle, even though you're not planning on going to work at that moment. sadly have to give 1 star just to get attention to the issue. also the app loses connection often and phone restart is required even though every other app seems to be working fine
A lot of bugs especially with scheduling shifts
1. A lot of times the app dies not alert when the route changed. 2.The app consistently "forgets" to reimburse the tolls paid. This has been somewhat fixed. 3.Add real description to what is changed so drivers are aware. Using pixel 3a XL with latest OS. 4. Route directions on the highways are confusing in a lot of cases.
There is a difference between turn left and stay to the left. (OR RIGHT) Most confusing GPS ever. There is no place to check our earnings or how much we have worked. The website said there is quickpay it is not anywhere on the app for tri cities. there needs to be specific Instructions for pick and dropping and not in the middle of a busy street!!!! App and GPS are so bad.
Only problem this app has is connection issues with the VIA gps on rainy days. Rain seems to be its only kryptonite. Other than many rainy road mishaps and misdirections and lost signals over the years, I love this app a ton. Pay is great. Very little to complain about. Keep up the good work and keep providing us drivers with blue mode!
New update is very poor. You see a much shorter distance on the navigation map, visual cues are less accurate & they removed written cues. I see no improvements, only regression. All around, much less efficient or clear than the previous version.
Please think real hard before working on VIA platform, Do not fall for their so call promotion rates, its a absolutely misleading and SCAM. Many times I started on their Blue mode promotion rate then suddenly as soon as you dropped the rider 25 miles away, Via cancel your Blue mode that's mean you keep driving for FREE in traffic till they find the rider for you which means you never get that $70 for 3 hours promotion. Via new update app keep getting freezing on pick up, its horrible app.
I've been happily driving for via for the last several months. However their gps is riddled with problems, causing me to miss pickups and they had the nerve to penalize me for said missed pickups even though they were out of my control. Via support are unresponsive to my emails. At least with Lyft and uber, I can talk to a human when needed.
The app is made from team of Rookies. Payments are not updated daily per Via dedication. I have been misquoted on the hours driven. You always have to drive far to even start getting paid. Once that trip ends your pay ends and then you have to drive again to another terminal and do it all her again. That is sketchy and unrealistic if you drive uber lyft you at least don't waiste time
app does not allow you to switch between blue guarantee and flex zone for airport pickups. Navigation can be slow or delayed which often causes missed turns. Navigation often gives directions to a closed On/Off ramp.
App does not work!!! As a driver I have to restart the app several times while working. So much glitching!!! Then they tell me that I do not follow their routing when it is their fault. GPS does not work.
Very hard to manage as a driver. Links you to the Avis app which is even worse so that you can rent the vehicles to drive with this program. Not only are both apps horrible they do not interconnect properly at times.
Great concept but really slow improvements = Loosing business. * GPS needs major updates. Directions entering or existing any highway is a total nightmare. On most main roads in New York like Queens Boulevard in Queens or Maguiness Boulevard in Brooklyn,GPS keeps saying "make a right " or "make a left" when the map and common sense shows to drive straight down,confusing and dangerous even for an experimented driver. Attention! NYC TLC DMV and NYPD
New update has frozen my app when i clock in. Tech Support said its my phone but my phone was checked at my local store and its fine. No other apps having issues. Just this one since new update.
