The app is broken. No matter the updates that are put out, the app won't load most of the time. I'm constantly having to restart it. When I look at other plan or payment options, the app closes. My bill went up unexpectedly and there is nothing on my statement showing why. I tried to use the links in app and they go nowhere. I'm so done with this provider. Being stuck in this contract is like a hostage situation. I can't wait to get a new internet provider.

I wish I could rate the entire company as a zero star. Awful experiences from the start but they are the only option in my rural area. I have had to call customer service on average about every 2 weeks since I started service. My signal goes out regularly, the app never works, getting a person on the phone to even process the issue is like pulling teeth. They installed my dish wrong and then charged me a hundred dollars to fix it. I could go on, but the short of it is, Viasat SUCKS.

for being a major satellite internet provider i feel like the app should have a little better performance. It often freezes, kicks me out of the app and the delayed reaction timing is very slow. I do, however, get what I need from the app when I use it. Nothing is perfect.

You guys need to take a hard look at your app. It hasn't worked correctly since the last update starting to get annoying. At&t wifi is starting to look better the price point is really close to yours and I never have a problem with my phone app.

This company Sucks the have the worst customer service ever. They change the way they bill you every few months with no warning and they discontinue items that are free and come back with a simillar one that you have to pay for. Where i live its the only company that provides internet service and only allows 40gb a month for $ 105.00 highway robbery any way you look at it.

This app is trash. The page takes over a minute to load, if it even loads. You can't even see a history of how much data you used each day to see if you're burning through more than you expect. Shockingly bad for a service who's literal job is internet 🙄

What is going on with service lately? For the last week my set I e had been down just stopped. Resets, nothing helps. The app just says -2 error or that oops not connected. No access to the modem at all. Resets dont work. Powering off, nothing. But the lights flash. Showly. Up and down, and network.

If I could give this app and the ISP 0 stars, I would. I live in a rural area, obviously, cause I wouldn't choose this service if I didn't have to. Sadly, I'm going on 2 years with Viasat due to there being no other options in my area and I can't just move. Day 1 of my billing cycle and Netflix can't even load. Don't let the word unlimited fool you, you have data caps and the speeds you're slowed to, a snail is faster getting to its destination than this internet service.

App is blank. If I could give ViaSat 0 stars, I would. Less than 2 mbps over the last few weeks and a reboot brings it up to 6 mbps for about 30 min before slowing down again. I am paying $120/mth for 25 mbps and never get above 12 maximum on a really good day.

Well slow service is not how low they!! Now the new bag is they steal your highspeed data and i dont mean scimming off the top, no... They just took 40gigs of my 150gig premium data. I had 43gis right before i started watching a amazonprime movie after movie i checked data again 3gigs left. I complained of 11gigs disapering last month then without any recourse they would notgive my data back i decided to start a disconect of service. Then they steal 40gigs. Said will invetigate DOUBT IT!!!!

Aside from being the absolute worst internet service available, the app itself is just as bad. Nothing works or takes forever to load, can't make payments on the app even though there's an option too, but it doesn't work so you have to call anyways, overall the company is just awful. Stay as far away as possible.

App always has something buggy wrong with it. Today the specific problem is that whenever you hit the change plan button the app starts to load and then force closes. When they finnally get around to fixing that, something else will be broken during the fix. Because there is ALWAYS something wrong.

Not reliable, and why can't you see as you type?? That should be an easy IT fix in this day... it lags and has difficulty loading. I had to restart a chat 4 times to talk to someone, and when they had to wait longer than a minute, they closed the chat! How is this helpful?

Customer service is the worst. I am a long time viasat customer and am a loyal customer. I have paidtheir rate increases and jumped through all their change hoops without complaining. I moved homes and even had a second account added. Now that I try to cancel my old account they want the full month payment without any prorated remaining balance. That's not how you treat a longtime loyal customer. Bad, poor, noncaring customer service!!!!

Loved in the beginning but got much worse later. Signal is weak, raise your rates and dont inform you ahead of time until they take out of bank. Contacted support several times. Did no good. This company really sux

It's garbage terrible customer service. Terrible service laggy on good days don't work at all on bad days I do not recommend this movies are impossible to watch definitely can't game. Get something else if you have options don't read the reviews that employees were paid to put on here read the bad reviews and listen trust me I didn't and am stuck with a contract with wifi that does not work. Don't Do It Stay Away!!!

We've been with Viasat a long time (and the providers they bought out). It hasn't been bad. We had very few complaints. We just moved closer to town and we literally can't use our internet. It's so slow nothing happens. And unlimited is a joke. The new modems are terrible and no option to keep the older one. Also charged for a whole month bill for one day of use at our previous address. Now the app. Looks pretty. Seems easy. Too bad it's useless because it just closes. Viasat is awful.

The only thing it's good for is checking cumulative monthly usage. Supposedly it will tell you which devices are using what percent of the weekly total. But the data provided is garbage. How can you have one device use 35% of a weekly total, and all the rest are 0%? The TOTAL is 100%!! Where did the rest go?? Plus, it shows all the devices connected to the router, most of which don't draw any satellite stream. Useless clutter. Customer Service was no help. Said the app was imperfect....

Horrible!! The app and service is horrible!! My son can't play xbox, we can't watch a movie, the only thing it's good for is our phones. The app is complete garbage, it says we have 8 devices connected, when there isn't, the data is always wrong, it just sucks completely. Will switch to another service provider as soon as one becomes available.

Update: still having issues. The app is unusable for me and has been for months. Reinstalling does not help. Suddenly having issues. It tries logging in and then says "oops" and gives me the option to retry or log out and sign in again. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still the same issue. Disappointed because I rely on it to keep up with usage.

The only thing this app is good for is checking how much data you've used and paying the bill. Everything else it supposedly does, like reboot the modem, seems fake. Like it offers a timer but doesn't actually do anything when the modem stops working. It glitches out all the time and won't load, always tells me my modem isn't working even when it is, and I'm not impressed.

Worst app and customer service ever. When Viaset service works, it's ok. You won't be able to stream like they lie and say you will but do use it to work from home. The app is bad. It crashes. When there is an outage, chat is always unavailable and if you try to call their phones are always down and the automated voice refers you back to the never working MyViasat chat. Frustrating and can't wait to switch to new broadband provider in my area.

Horrible horrible service. And the customer service is ridiculous. They don't even try to make things right. We have the biggest package they offer....our wifi never works and the only answer they gave us was that we should all do factory resets on our devices to see if that would help. I do not recommend at all. As soon as our contract is up we will be switching.

This is a mostly broken app that can occasionally be useful. The first two times I ran it it merely vectored me to the website, and suggested I install it. The third time it asked me to approve terms of use. It showed me the WiFi tab at the bottom and I was able to see a few percentage use figures for connected devices, then it crashed, I got a white and totally unresponsive screen. I'm running Android 9 on a Moto G7 Power. I killed the zombie with the task switcher. The fourth time, crash

Worst wifi service. It's very expensive. It goes down completely or is slow a lot. All customer service tells the customer is that Viasat made it clear in the contract that they are not responsible for bad wifi performance and the customer has no recourse. The app doesn't work half the time either. Because they make it necessary to keep track of data, it is frustrating when I can't access the information. If I had another option, I would choose any other company.
