This is not 2001, you should be able to run any app in landscape orientation. This is just one more portrait only flip phone apps
I use this app to help me detect/predict motor bearing failures. It is not a precision instrument but when used frequently one can understand what the readings indicate. Absolutely great to determine which bearings are failing when used on aa electric motor or pump.
Great app. Hope to see features added like record results, and timline zoom in an out ect.
As soon as I opened I tested for thumps and bumps. I walked around my apartment and it picked it up. The first working app I've ever been pleased with and have given 5 stars. EVER.
The word Intensity is misspelled as "Inrensity" in the phrase Mercallli Intensity Scale
Works well needs a record function
Another excellent app!
Works as intended
Does what it does
apologies for previous 1 star ,i was unclear on purpose of app,its just a simple gauge. ive noticed with the addition of android versions over the years fix some phone/app issues most apps no longer work or are supported and they remain in the store. sometimes time consuming sorting through rubble.
Great. Would like to see a kind of registration. So let us say I leave it all night. And now I would like to check what happened at 3.16 a.m. Snfvthen I would tell me how hard the shake was and what level it was. Update 02 2021: 1 star as developer ignores comments
Have to admit saw the app and was like pffff okay, downloaded and does exactly what it says. Yeah you won't look at the phone during an earthquake but sure will come in handy if any aftershocks occur. In short this app got it right on the money.
Does what it says. App is simple, but too simple IMHO. Quite some places of improvement. Graph does not auto-scale according to Y-axis. Easily clips on Y-axis. No titles given on X-axis and Y-axis of the graph. Does not display instantaneous or average value. No way to export or record the values. Cannot scale the X-axis (zoom-in/zoom-out the timeline). Mercalli to Richter translation should be provided in app, instead of just the app description. Overall, nice implementation, but long way to go! Best wishes to Dev!
Does do what it says. Hard to find a use for it when data has no context or history. At least label the different axis and provide calibrated scale.
In an emergency this app is one of the applications that could be crucial in a disaster or unpredictable conditions. Tools like this one could help save your life and I feel slightly more prepared to handle the unforseen. The developers DO NOT recommend putting yourself in any high risk situations so don't try to go overboard when testing. Have fun. Be safe and enjoy!! - One suggestion I have is to combine the apps in this set for push/easy unpack deployment - Language barriers could pose a problem - Parental locks on a device could inhibit complete potential
It is a nice tool to see the data in real time, but would be far more useful if it would save the data; including time would be even better.
Read the description, the app does exactly that. Also, it's harder than I thought to simulate catastrophy by shaking my phone.
Solid foundation. Would be more useful if it could predict earthquakes further in advance; maybe integrate with the calendar to mark upcoming ones.
It sure seems like a great app. However I have not yet compared its results with the SKF Monolog Analyser. If only i had known the units of the scale, it would be much easier.
App is nice but too simple. Add something that will make the app easier to understand so more can appreciate. Thanks
Does exactly what it says it does. You can't do any better than that. The real question is, do you actually need to measure any vibrations, and what would you do with the info that you obtain if you do.
V good app. People don't understand how much effort someone did to built this and rather give the credit just give bad comments. Anyway thanks for upgrading to pro free.
Please allow history to be able to see after an earthquake if it could feel it. I would like to leave it on during the night.
Love it. It does what it says. For that guy who complaint that he will have no time to look at the app during an earthquake, who wants to look at a phone during one? I think your priority would be to find shelter. Btw, thanks for the free upgrade to pro.
So far I've mainly measured my son jumping on the bed, but I'm thinking this will be fun on a car stand on a dirt road.
Not a useful app for a real earthquake but fun to play with for a day or use for other purposes
Very handy app for measuring vibrations of earthquakes or equipment. I recommend it! Thanks to the developer for creating it.
Not so useful.. if there's an earthquake, i will have no time to look at my phone to look at the graph and all of the information.. you should add a feature that allows user to record vibration for example 05/06/2017 12:05 No vibration, 12:06 Moderate vibration (how many SR..) , 12.07 (very strong earthquakes,etc..) 12:08 No vibration.. and also +vibration graph history by clock/date.. much appreciated
Does what you said it would. Does it fast and well and you explain it with point of easy to understand reference. I wish my politicians would operate like this as well.
Functional app that does what it says. Could really use an update (it's been almost 5 years since the last one). Every time I open it I receive a warning from my system saying that the app is for an older version of Android and may cause problems with my phone because it's written for a much older version of the operating system. So it makes me wary of continuing to use it.
