Video Splitter - Story Split

In December 2021 I wrote a review stating that the Story Spliter app is not splitting videos correctly. It is now the end of May 2022 and it is still the same. So with great sadness, I have decided I have to delete it from my smartphone. I found another app that works like Story Spliter did originally. All the best of luck to the team that created Story Spliter.

So you'd like a review, ok! I'll give you a review. Next time you write a piece of software make sure that when the downloader installs and uses it when he presses select folder it actually select folder and allows you to choose videos to edit if the program actually works. This one sadly does not, absolutely disappointing - one star. at least the video trimmer that I installed in the previous video opened and split the video I just didn't find it as intuitive and simple as I needed it to be.

I am FLABBERGASTED that this app has a 4+ star rating in its current rendition! If one could simply type in the trim start and end times, this app WOULD be good! But....you have to use a ridiculous slider to clumsily select the times....AND IT DOESN'T EVEN SHOW YOU WHAT TIME YOU CURRENTLY HAVE THE SLIDER AT UNTIL YOU STOP MOVING IT!!? This makes working with this app utterly absurdly tedious, especially with longer videos! It'll take potentially much, much, much longer to do what would otherwise take a few seconds! Fix this mind-boggling asinine absurdity, and this app may be 5 stars. Thanks.

It's good but when you split a video they're all random in your gallery on not in the right order so when adding to a story it's difficult cause they're all mixed up. It's good for splitting into many parts and is fast too but when you've got a video with 15 or 20 parts it's pretty much impossible to use as they're all mixed up in regards to the order they were split in your gallery.

Oh man! This thing does exactly what it's supposed to! You set the time per clip and leave it to chop up the source video. When done, the clipped videos will be ready, and arranged in order in your gallery. Also, no watermarks or funny title cards. Reviewing this app is super easy because it's THAT GOOD! It's legit!

This App was Unable to "Select Folder" in the beginning, I guess it took the App some time to scan my Gallery. After sometime I can see all my videos in the App and it Does exactly what the Description and Photos tells. Now I can easily trim my 60 second videos in 6 parts each of 10 seconds to upload on my Snapchat Story. Best App for Android users.

The newest update is not an upgrade. The tool to cut just a piece from the middle of a video is way harder to use now. The way it drags and jumps around just doesn't work. It also seems to have corrupted the original file I was splitting a few times which had never happened in the past.

It works and is fast, but it fails to load the folder where I store my videos! I think it gets hung up on the video file itself. Because of I move it to a different folder, then that folder fails to load. Video was made my inshot if that matters. Anyway, I can't use this.

Why my rating deleted? Your app still has issue, everytime i split long video to 60 secods, the result will always different duration. I've split 10 minutes video for 60 seconds, the result is 10 videos but all duration are different, not really 60 secods for every split. When i use Split in High Accuracy, it's not even reencoding and split, just instantly stop and shows the split has done and the result is always 0.

Does exactly what its suppose to, I use it to split long videos for Instagram so that they are 59 seconds each . works great, but it is very difficult to piece together all of the different files when you upload them. This is not the fault of this software actually but just the overall concept of cutting videos

Works as intended. When I upload my clips to my insta story, it transitions smoothly. It's free and you can split it into many parts, doesn't have a limit. Only con is that the splitted clips appears as random inside my gallery and I'll have to reorder them myself before uploading to my stories.

this is the second app I tried to split my Instagram storys. and before it took 12min to cut 15 storys, but with this app it takes about 30s. so just amazing, it does the job perfectly. haven't had any problem with it and I've used it for about 20 times now. highly recommended.

very fast, simple and good splitter.[PROS] no limitation feature for free version, small size, memory. contain no trash feature, function like other app. [CONS] cannot enter time for start & end time.not support multiple split position, end point does not have preview.

Even if we ignore obvious UI bugs (results not showing after splitting, folders not loading on first load), it still just doesn't work. Splitting a 1:03 video to 15 second parts gives: 15, 20, 21, 4 and 18 second videos, instead of four 15 and one 3 second video.

This app takes an absolute age to split my 6 minute video and has crashed on every try. I left it overnight and woke up to find 5 or of 7 videos done and 2 not done. The finished videos were jumpy and laggy. Way too slow, terrible quality videos and also crashes every single time. It doesn't work.

:-) This is a easy way to get quick precise video splits. This app does what it says, and it's easy to learn how. Splitting is simple, quick and the video does not lose quality when splits are made and exported.

Horrible. I just waited half an hour for this app to split a 3 and a half minute video into 13 videos (15 seconds each) and it didn't even work! No image, just sound and an error image. Waist of time!

So it splits but with many errors in the video. The video freezes and then when it splits it messes up the order of the videos so you don't know which comes after which. Too much work to sort it out. It's a no from me.

this app is AMAZING!, I like to upload music to Instagram and songs are allways too long, but with his app which does the job very neatly it's no longer a problem. this is easy to use, no watermark, splits fast, best app to do the job out there!!!

The app seems to be broken. I tried splitting a 02:02 video into 15 and 20 seconds. Both didn't work out. Only exported audio for a few seconds then everything else was corrupted for every split video.

Horrible app. It sometimes splits them unevenly contradictory to what you tell it to, and the order in which the videos are placed in your gallery is completely random. Good luck finding the order in which it goes.

In theory this is a really good idea but it just doesn't work. I've tried it for 3 days and have the same issues. constant crashes takes over 20mins to try split a 3mins video and still didn't work after the wait. if fixed it'll be a life saver

It's simple, but crowded with Ads. Too simple to be good. It failed the splitting process and I did not get to choose where to save the splitted files. Just another moneymakers App. Not made with love.

What the hell did you do with the app? It used to be great and user friendly, now the interface is a complete mess and when you try to cut out a 15 seconds part the result is actually 16 seconds which does not fit in one story

Splits the videos perfectly into whatever size segment i choose (5/5). After 3 times of trying it keeps making a bad render of the first clip making the whole thing unwatchable (1/5). Needs to be fixed.

New update broke everything. It doesnt work at all. This was the best app. Now it gets stuck at first part and doesn't split. With accurate codec it doesnt even move from 0%.
