Viewdeo: Reddit Video Sharing made Simple

Works well for downloading those pesky v.reddit videos, well done! Feature suggestion though: download in background. I'm using it with Relay for Reddit and the pulsating indicator takes over the screen so i have to wait for the download to finish, which is kind of annoying. If you can get that to work I'll be able to recommend it to everyone!

Downloaded the video, and in some cases I was able to hear audio, but sharing the file elsewhere resulted in loss of audio. Also, the MP4 file wasn't recognized by Android as a valid video file. Edit: Excellent communication from developer. These issues may simply be down to my old phone.

Great app and made it easy for me to share videos from reddit with my friends. Works well with sharing to FB Messenger and Signal. But I'm not sure if Line doesn't like to embed .mp4 videos or if the sharing is just broken. There is always an error when trying to share from Viewdeo to Line. I have to use the attach file function within the Line app. Maybe future versions can add support for saving videos in a different format.

Worked pretty well previously to update. All videos & pics before the update are not available & the folder they are I cannot find. Updated 5/25 I believe a new version was released last night. My files have returned & I can easily find the folder that they are stored. Thank you for resolving this!!!

Excellent app. Thoroughly appreciate the work that has gone into it. Works perfectly and also keeps the sound, which my Reddit client doesn't. The paid version is dirt cheap. Intergrates so easily with the share menu and has saved me a good bit of hassle. Highly recommended.

Works brilliantly. The ability to save files to a folder was a great change! If you purchase this on a phone and then try to install on a tablet, give Google an hour or so to sync your purchase between devices, otherwise you will be asked to pay twice (Google's issue, not the dev.)

Best app ever. Just upgraded to the full premium one to support the dev. One thing I'd like to see is that the videos are listed by how recent they are. It's tough to navigate the thumbnails looking for the newest one after downloading it.

Edit: this app doesn't work 90% of the time. It's more of a pain than anything to try and use. I liked the free version so much I paid money for this and now it just doesn't work. Old review: I really like this app. A little disappointed though, lately I get 'error occured for input string: [insert filename]' everytime I try to download any video.

Tried on two phones running Android One 9 or MIUI 10 and neither shows Viewdeo in the share menu when sharing a .mpd hosted on v.reddit through Sync Pro... update: thanks for your answer. indeed, it works as advertised when sharing the link in Sync Pro. thanks

I like this app a lot! It makes saving a video and directly sharing it very easy. I also like how the app doesn't bombard you with ads or requests to rate it. I did buy the premium version though, but just because I thought it deserved it ☺️

Bought the premium version because this app has been pretty damn useful. Every once in a while there's a download error (but I imagine the pain it must be to keep up all the api and reddit changes).

This app is awesome. It broke in the previous update because it seemed like the developer tried to push a rushed update in response to a Reddit change but now it's working again. If you're like me and you had the broken update, uninstall that one before installing this update and then remove any broken videos from your library by opening the app and taping and holding on any blank videos and then deleting them. Anyways, thanks to the dev for this cool way to download vreddit.

This is the ONE app that makes the Official Reddit app usable. Downloads and integrates video AND sound of v.redd.it videos -- making it possible to share on any platform. And you don't have to share any direct links from the Official Reddit app -- you just download whatever media you want to Viewdeo, and share it directly however you want on whatever social platform. This app is a godsend.

I've been using the free version for some time and it has been a brilliant experience. Viewdeo makes it really easy to download Reddit videos by sharing the URL to the app. It even works with some other non-Reddit sites! The video can then easily be shared to other apps- I use this to download and share videos over WhatsApp. There has been some temporary issues in the past due to Reddit changes, however the developer has always swiftly addressed these and continually made improvements to the app

App used to be good but then a change to Reddit caused to stop working. The developer has released an update but now the app just crashes immediately on start-up. Update: App has now been fixed

It can actually "do" others of similar composure, too, and it works OUTSIDE of Reddit JUST AS WELL! No, not YouTube. Nevertheless, it's now my go-to-first tool for ANY video or animated file that I want to grab from ANYWHERE! 11/2 EDIT: Just grabbed an mp4 via Twitter with the download option missing or disabled. AND I'm using night mode!

Used to work really well, now it's bug ridden and has steadily gotten worse. Videos just won't move to downloads folder anymore, or end up corrupted. I tried reinstalling and it's just as unreliable

Great app and really useful for sharing videos with sound to telegram. I have 1 issue that it sometimes gfycat urls with all lowercase it cannot process. Would be 5* otherwise.

App worked great before today's update. Now crashes instantly when launched on Android 10. Edit: New update fixed the crashes. Quick reply from the dev as well.

It works great but can I suggest adding a feature where Instagram videos can be downloaded too👍 I've no idea if it is possible to implement but mabye getting the user to log on the their Instagram account so they can download from private accounts that they follow

I miss the app prior to v4. It worked flawlessly and sharing was a streamlined experience. I respect that the developer is doing his best in light of recent reddit changes. Hopefully I can go back to 5 stars when the app is polished again.

Was a great app, but recently 1 in 2 videos is downloaded just the audio with the error message "Can't play video. Video codec not supported"

Working again so updated to 5 star! Great app! Old comment: Previously would be 5 star but stopped working for Reddit. Would recommend downloading once the fix is in place as it used to work fantastically and I used to use it all the time!

Excelent app! I was using the free version and just bought this one as a way to reward the dev for such a good job. It is really simple to share those nasty v.reddit videos with sound ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I use this app for archiving mostly from reddit and considering how much that platform changes it really breaks the app but I have huge respect for the developer always coming through asap and fixing the issue. I appreciate everyone behind viewdeo for keeping this important tool alive, thank you for all you do!
