Vigilant Mobile Companion
The app encompasses many of the tools and features seen in Vigilant’s LEARN® product for license plate reader (LPR) analytics and access to the Vigilant national LPR database of over 4.2 billion license plate scans. The app also includes a mobile device version of Vigilant’s exclusive feature known as Mobile Hit Hunter, and Vigilant’s FaceSearch facial recognition product.
License Plate Recognition Features and Functions:
• Access Vigilant’s national LPR database of over 4.2 billion (and growing) license plate reader detections• Access exclusive LEARN analytic tools such as Locate Analysis• Add Hot Plates for monitoring against Agency-owned LPR systems, shared data from other agencies, and Vigilant’s own private network of LPR data• Receive and share alerts on matches against Agency hotlists• Leverage the power of the Vigilant-exclusive Mobile Hit Hunter feature to see locations of nearby vehicles matched between your agency’s hotlists and Vigilant’s own private network of data• Scan License Plates using your device’s camera and have them uploaded to the Agency’s LEARN account and matched against hotlists• As the app requires an existing LEARN account with Vigilant, all transactions are fully audited and available for Agency Manager review.Facial Recognition Features and Functions:• Access Vigilant’s national gallery of over 13 million (and growing) mugshots, registered sex offenders, and more• Upload images to your Agency gallery for later matching and investigative purposes• Upload probe images from your device’s camera to search against your available gallery and receive potential matches based on over 350 different facial measurements.

New update slows me down. Have to log in twice to input plate on the go. Hard when I'm driving. Picture is small and cant zoom. Last version was much easier and faster to use while on patrol.
App does not work. Says its for an older version of android, then crashes. Needs serious update.
This app works great for scanning plates, facial rec and operating the Vigilant software. I highly recommend it!

I have never been able to succesfully use the app. It either won't let me log in or just runs when I make a query and never shows results. Great idea.... Poor development of the mobile app. update: app seemes to operate much better after uodates until recently.
Use this system at work and their software is great... Try to use this in the field but won't load or freezes. Don't waste your time.
I read the previous comments and makes me curious as to why so many state that they have issues. I use both Android and iOS versions along with the web based access. Never have had an issue with any of them. The connection issues maybe attributed to the cellular provider sending and receiving datapacks. My Android is GSM and works off of any GSM network (At&t, T-Mobile and Cellular One), my iPhone is a Verizon and my laptop uses an At&t aircards. Other than times when there are internet network issues and ALL web based services are lagging, I have not had any issues using this system. I noticed one entry indicating the inability to register. This app is for officers who already have access to the LEARN service through their agency. It's not a service available to just anyone. It's a paid service for agencies and the app serves as a mobile version of their already web based access. This review was posted Jan 24th, 2016.
Frequently won't login, force closes all the time, can go days without being able to make it work. When it does work, it's awesome tool.
Won't connect to the server. Can use the web page but the mobile app don't work.

Works great for about 4 minutes. You have to log in twice, main portal then secondarily. Says "Mobile" but not helpful when mobile. My partners prefer the desktop version due to the constant App forced logouts and having to log in again. Very inconvenient when moving around. Love the idea but App needs more work.
