after the update there are no more settings for brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness, only day night and auto settings. The latest version of the app isn't better, it's worse. Return the brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness settings again, because the four settings are really needed...
After update, there are no options for brightness, contrast, saturation etc which are ver needful. And also I can't switch from day to night mode. Previous version seems to be better than the latest. Please rectify the issues.
Keep charging my account but stop my cloud service half way into the month!!! SO, I stopped my card for the next month!!!! I'm sick of paying full price for only half of a month!!! Should have learned with 1 camera...I purchased another camera and so I paid the 2 camera cloud fee....But they stopped my cloud again and won't renew 2 want me to pay for 3!!! NO! I HAVE 2! And no one to call to help! HORRIBLE
Just bought a camera and can't even use. The app crashes everytime at the point I am to scan the code on the camera. Have uninstalled and installed many times. Waste of time and money. Don't buy these products!!!!
always down for no reason this morning,suddenly stopped working,cannot log in... Impossible to dowload any video ALWAYS fail. Keeps getting offline when we ask too much of it.No support whatsoever.
Cannot connect to internet. I have a VT 361 camera and the app tells me to press the reset button on the camera but my camera has no reset button! App is useless and i can't use the camera!
I have the latest version of the app and it is still useless junk. I regret buying vimtag. I have six cameras and always one offline for some reason,a different one each time. The app is still unusable when trying to watch playback from the storage box with contstant crashing and refusal to load. The motion detection is pointless and doesn't work properly, it either detects every leaf moving on a tree or nothing at all. I spent $800 on all my vimtag cameras and storage box, what a waste. AVOID!
There have always been small issues such as connectivity and the camera disappearing from the device list; today the system is completely bonkers. I've been in contact with the support team for 2 weeks as my camera connects when I first start the application and then the transfer rate goes to zero. The support replies once a day, maximum, and it doesnt seem like they know what is going on. I want to rate the app higher, but I just continually have usability issues.
App regularly crashes, randomly my devices will turn off, reset and just not record, even if it is scheduled to. When you press the camera or video buttons the images are saved to the cameras server rather than saved to the device using the app, so I have to rely on screenshots during livestream viewing. Cant view or upload clips or pics that are saved internally. In short, the thing does what it wants, when it wants, and never is reliable when I need it and has been that way since i got it.
app doesn't give notifications of motion detection UNLESS I'm in the app or the app is open. If my phone is on standby or screen off, no notifications. This is bad since this means I might miss a burglary happening! The playback of videos is also very slow and does not allow swiping to fast forward or backward. and of course I turned on motion detection and adjusted sensitivity. 😑
I thought the camera and app would be of moderate quality considering how affordable the cameras were. But I’m blown away by the quality of both the camera and app! They work right out of the box and the app has so many features, I’m shocked. Only one request so far: the ability to swipe left/right to see other cameras (either in full screen or portrait mode).
Haven't been able to login to my account for 2 days now. Unable to connect to server. Connection time out. Can use the local search and the camera works. But that's it. Why have a security camera if you can't login to your account. Update: Had to completely uninstall the app and then reinstall. Works now. Did this on my own. However should never have had to do this and no one ever responded to the diagnostics that were sent. So review stays.
This app crashed every time I tried to open it, but it seems to work now. When it started misbehaving, in desperation, I scanned the barcode in the manual that came with the camera, and got it working again. Since then, it has updated to the latest version, which is the one on my phone (this is a Samsung tablet). If a future update messes it up, I'll just reinstall from the barcode again. In the meantime, I've updated my review because the developer reached out to me.
The camera itself worked great. It was the app that kept crashing. Couldn't click the setting tab without freezing. Now I cant even view the camera on the app. I've emailed support at vimtag but have not recieved a response and I have reinstalled numerous times but the same issue occurs. The app is now deleted and camera is in my junk drawer.
I keep getting the alert that this installed app has APK:RepMalware(Trj) and I hv to uninstall the app. I try to reinstall again and the same message appear. Can advise, Thks
The app UI layout isn't well-organized, and not always self-explanatory due to poorly-written English in some sections. Also, it constantly creates duplicate .png files in its "imgs" folder (which Google's Files app keeps catching and having to clear/clean up). My old VT-362 unit can only connect to 2.4Ghz (no 5Ghz).
A really good system and the cloud account is great for storing events. I’ve had the system for almost one year and have been impressed. You can set motion zones, and turn on notifications for a single camera or any number of cameras in your system. Camera firmware updates are rare, but easy to update when available.
Ever since ordering cloud backup this app has gotten more buggy than usual. Cloud isn't working. App constantly freezes
Works great with the camera EXCEPT all of the movement commands are backwards. If I tell the camera to go up it goes down, left it goes right. There seems to be no way of changing this. Apart from that it is a very capable app.
The UI is really old and bad, as for the UX you are missing some key features, check the YI camera they doing way better. Features like :floating window, delete bulk movies, etc you have a lot to learn and improve p.s. guys i've updated for the latest version. please ask your product manager to look at the YI camera app and see the features its been offered. you have great image processing but the app is lacking some key features. if you need assistance i would be more than happy to give you guys a hand as i'm coming from this field.
The application does not work properly. For instance, it does not allow the modification of any parameter. As I have a high-end mobile of a famous brand, it cannot be hardware related. In addition to that, when I contacted support they simply told me to use PC application!!! Why you have an app if it is not working and you redirect customers to other platforms instead to solving the main issue?!! Update: despite vendor comments below that implays the issue is solved in latest version, it is not.
