I'm not really sure why this gets such a bad rap. It a little tricky to set up but once it is the app works great! When programming the times and temperatures a confusing bit is that you set the start time only for the period. The end time of the period is set by the start time of the next period (or midnight if it's the last period). And Alexa works fine. Overall I recommend this app and thermostat TJ-225. At $63 on Amazon you get a lot of features for much less than other smart thermostats.

App stoped working months ago and has not been fixed. Just says no response from device and all devices are updated to the latest version. The thermostat shows it is connected to the internet.

It works although it gets disconnected sometimes but it will reconnect every time. My vine device heat option is flickering so I can't use the touch screen so I'm forced to use this app. It does the job 8/10 times

What a joke. This system wont work after some time i have 6 of these units all of them stop working one by one. It won't respond called for support took them 4 weeks and fixed it then lasted 2 months samething again. One by one stop working again. Is this some kind scam or what. What a joke.

This app seems to have gotten worse over time. It no longer let's me change the temperature settings in the programs. I can't delete the daily "summer-1" it "winter-1" programs, which would be fine if I could adjust or rename them, but it won't let me do either. I'm giving it 2 Stars since, most of the time, it will at least allow me to change the temperature in the moment from my phone.

**update-app no longer works at all** The app works... Poorly. It's just super buggy. Basic things just don't work. You can't edit a program in list view, only in graph view. Also, graph view is useless, seems like a nice idea, but viewing a 24 hour day 1 hour at a time is not helpful. The app used to work better, but a recent update broke it. Who knows if it will ever get fixed. If you're considering buying a vine thermostat... Don't.

Worst experience with a smart home product I have ever had. It consistently goes offline and now (for the past 2 months) I can't connect to my thermostat from the app. It has turned into a dumb thermostat. All I get when I open the app and tap on my Thermostat icon is "can't connect to device"! I unistalled and reinstalled the app and no change "can't connect to device". I'm done with this POS!

works when it wants to. Upon opening I have about 20 seconds to use it before it says "no response from device". Thermostat is connected to internet and others have the same problem. It works for a quick temp adjustment, but i cant program it. More annoying to have it than to not too really.

Scheduling doesn't work currently. When I go to edit one of the preset schedules, I can't adjust the time. Temperature adjustment works but I can't scroll through the time. Also the app won't let me create a new schedule. Pressing the add schedule button does nothing.

Really confusing interface. If I let any of the programs take over temp control I come home to an apartment set to a seemingly random temperature. It makes me angry every time i have to change the temp and wish I had a simpler thermostat. Also the app wants way too many permissions for just controlling a thermostat (i mean why does a thermostat need access to my contacts, messages, and phone calls)

Useless won't let me control anything at all, keeps saying no response from device even though the thermostat has full signal on the WiFi

Thermostat seems to work well as long as their webpage is running. I have had so many problems with being unable to connect with their website which stores programming info which allows you to adjust thermostat via app on cell phone. I do not recommend this thermostat for that reason. China get your stuff together with your site and fix these constant connection problems...

constant issues , i regret buying this thermostat if your on the fence buy what ever other one you ar looking at. nothing but frustrating. half the time wont load. have issues all the time with the temperature. i have it set to 70 at all times durring the summer and the air stays on and will cool down to 60. my electric bill this month is out of control becouse of these malfunctions. run away from this product and fast !

Like most others I've read i can't use the schedule function because it makes no sense. thermostat constantly loses internet connectivity. the app is now telling me that a new version is available and then informs me that I don't have access to the Google play store or network access.

Very buggy. Won't let me change the program details or select a program and the thermostat seems to be running a summer program instead of the winter it says is selected. Edit: now I cannot even access the thermostat without registering and going through a painful setup process that hangs and doesn't continue to setup

I have had the 510 series for 6 months and it is absolutely great. the app could use a few touch ups in the coding, but regardless it is simple yet very effective. I can completely control my Vine thermostat from anywhere. Whether it is work or is from the bedroom to another state this app hasn't let me down, nor the thermostat. i got mine o. amazon for $119.00, and it was totally worth every penny.

Bought this thermostat for one huge reason...wanted a more flexible program schedule than the typical 5+2 schedule (weekdays + weekends) since that didn't fit me. But after a while it lost the ability to add new changes; now it simply has 2 per day and selecting to insert another change doesn't work.

More Update: This whole package was a huge mistake. The unit now can't connect. The website to get help isn't working. This has wasted my time AND money. Negative 100 stars. Old Update: Just received an update. It appears to be working with Pie now. Only 3 stars until it proves itself. Previously... A perfectly good product totally ruined by a crappy app. PLEASE update this. Nothing but crashes on Pie. FYI, this works fine on my older Android 7 tablet which is the ONLY way I can use this. Please update this app or at least hire someone competent to do it for you. More than disappointed. My Amazon review will also reflect this.

It's an overall good app, but there are a few quirks too it. Such as when i click on New to create a new time session for the temperature, instead of creating a new slot it takes me to the Graph View. Is that related to the server issues I've heard about?

I wish my apartment didnt have this brand. The thermostat rarley connects to the interent, (The box is literally 10 feet away) so i cant connect to my phone. Also, the thermostat has been OFF for the past month, however I still hear the unit running (fan is off too). I have a feeling the thermostat isnt actually connected to my unit. Guess well find out when I get my bill. If its over 10$, this thermostat is definitely ripping people off. Stay away if you can!!

It's rotating to landscape etc even though I have rotate off in Android. Ugh why did you change it

App randomly logs me out or disconnects my internet or the thermostat so i have to spend 30 minutes fixing it, and now it wont even let me login saying error and then it closes out completely...ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice and it isnt fixed...its pretty terrible

There is kind of a steep learning curve with both the phone app and the thermostat... but once you learn how to use it, it works as designed including being cloud connected.

I have two of the TJ-225 thermostats. Both worked fine until 7/28. Suddenly I can't control either thermostat from the vine app or alexa app. Both thermostats are connected to wifi but no wireless control is working!
