Vines Expository Bible Dictionary

It provides a concise meaning of the original Greek word, often providing Bible verse references as examples. If there are several Greek words that may translate to the same English word, Vine's distinguishes the shadings of meaning and connotation that may be lost in the English translation. For example, there are a number of Greek words that may be translated by the English word love.
Vine's also provides the definition of a word (as used in the King James Version) more accurately than an English dictionary, because it expands the Greek use of the word.

It's awesome to have the Vines Dictionary on my phone and Vines is the best. It's incredibly helpful when I'm studying my Bible to look up words and find their true Biblical meaning. The app is great. The print is large enough to to read and it is simple to use. I highly recommend it.
I like the Greek explanation after the Greek word and I also like the references that are hot, meaning all I have to do is touch the reference add a pop-up window opens to the verse. What a wonderful quick way to do a word study thoroughly. It has allowed me to learn more and especially to study the word of God in context not haphazardly out of context. Excellent program. I used to have three or four books in front of me to help me do this kind of research.
Super excellent. I'm really enjoying this app!!! Very easy to use. You can create your own folders/categories, and that's super amazing. The Bible reading plans, fantastic!
I find it very useful in my studying the scriptures. A lot of information. Easy to use, I like you can touch the reference of a scripture and it will pop up, this is one of my favorite function.

Its a very amazing app when it comes to an indepth study of the word of God. However i just have one issue, there are some words(euch as 'in') which when you search them, they refer you to" see +, p.9" and iam not sure what to do about that....Nonetheless i thank the developers for such a wonderful work. Only God can reward you
No doubt the book has been helpful to me and my hearers. I didn't do the ratings because I did not know how to do it. I started using Vines when l bought one in 1990 at 10cedis. I encourage bible students to use it. Has been recomended to my hearers. It makes my studies easy.

Very useful. It's like your dictionary for the Holy Scripture. When I'm unsure of what a particular Word meant, I go to this app. :)
It's a nice one,it give you all the verses in which the word you need is found in the Bible and still that it has it own Bible, Bible verse of the day,and a place you can make your own note. I like it.try and see.
It works and does what it says it is designed to do. Excellent tools to understand the NT words and specifically how they were used then.
Of course, the printed copy is preferable but when away from one's library nothing beats Vines on your phone.
I have this 20 year old book,which I Love. This makes it so much easier to switch from text to dictionary.
In my academic work, the Vine's Dictionary is a ready help. I have quoted this work to support my projects. Great resource.
So very good. Easy and great. It shows the bible chapters and context for each word.
Sorry but it needs to be corrected. Right away I discovered an error in it. It applied the word "doreo" (Strong's #1433) to Acts 3:14, where it should have been "charizomai" (Strong's #5483). Bible students need to have accurate resources.
Great for when I study my Bible, can answers to my questions really fast, and easy to understand.
There are a lot of words missing which needs to be rectified certainly Not expository, how can you explore when you don't have all the words? ??
I love how easy it is to read one verse or chapter in various versions.
Vine Helps to clarify some Biblical words, and some origins like the Cross's origin and the meaning behind some words. But really misses the Boat on the Hebrew personal Name of God. Very disappointed in Vine's on this matter. He does however use it correctly in explaining in English the meaning of Jesus name. But why the silence on God's personal name? In the Hebrew portion almost 7,000 times more than any other name. Vine's claims to be for Hebrew and Greek. Why hide God's name?
I really love the app especially for the fact that I can view the Bible passages referenced direct from it.
This app has helped me to understand the bible better. By studying using this app I now see how aword can have different meanings.Which can then change the whole meaning of a scripture. Revealing new understanding.

Quite good. However looking for "faith comes by hearing " is difficult
I really like this app since it's easy to look up words in the bible that I know what it means in English but means something either different a similar thing in Greek, either way it's helped me way more than an English dictionary has. Ontop of that it gives scripture reference examples where the word of such is relavent. An example is perfect, and the word for perfect translated from the Greek has a reference of Matthew 5:48, and tells me how they used it there. Only the new testament was greek
