Vio Bank

Been using your account solely with both of my computers for a year now and decided to get the app this past week so I can deposit money from my checking. For some reason I can't log in (when I never had a problem with both my computers) now I got several emails stating my "User ID" has been disabled. Please the fix this problem ASAP. Thank you. UPDATE Called the bank twice so far and had nothing but Excellent service. The first time was for the app problem and the other was to convert my acct.

Well, Vio has a good interest rate, so I guess that's what's important. I do virtually all my banking from my Android device, but the Vio app is limited and quirky. Cannot initiate transfers in or out to external accounts, logon doesn't work right with password manager. They say they are continually making improvements, but nothing since 11/2018. I'll admit, though, the mobile app interface is better than the web app on a cell phone. At least it hasn't crashed.

This app is only good for depositing checks, checking your balance, and checking your transaction history. We are missing the ability to add external accounts, an external transfers feature, the ability to see the account number, the ability to see the routing number, and the ability to see the interest rate. Lastly, it would also be nice to have a biometrics authentication feature. The available features work as expected though.

The app will not let me login. Out of the 12 or more times I've tried, I gained access once. I constantly get an error saying that my login credentials are invalid, yet logging in through the website works every time. I find this incredibly frustrating since I can only deposit checks through the app, not the website. The high yield savings account is great, but only if I have a way to deposit money. Please, fix the app!

The savings account interest rate at Vio is very good. However, this app lacks a great deal of information and functionality. Would benefit from adding fingerprint login, and it should allow you to check current APY, account & routing number info, all transactions, etc. It should also send an email confirming a deposit when you make one. Try copying Ally's app capabilities. Their app is a lot better, especially for mobile deposits.

Added 7/22/21: Can't initiate an external transfer from it in the app; have to use the website. 2. Only shows available balance on account screen, plenty of room to show total balance too. 3. On app start, always must clear logout msg from prior session. Orig: App cannot handle percent signs (%) in passwords, had to change my password to use the app. Also does not display password characters as you enter them, even briefly, so it's very difficult to ensure you have no typos.

Very weak app. You can check your balance and deposit a check, but that's about it. Transfers only between internal accounts, but why would you even have more than 1 account here. I have other HYS bank apps that look better and allow you to do more, including external transfers, account #, routing #, accrued interest, rate, everything you need. Between minimal features, and a terrible UI, this app is essentially useless. External accounts don't show up on the app, its not intuitive where that (supposed) ability even is. Other than to check balance, a total waste of memory space. I'm also with Fitness Bank, their actual banking app is what Vio needs to aim for..same functionality as web interface, and much easier to use.

This app is practically useless. I like the bank but the app is garbage. While the app let's you look at your recent deposits and deposit checks, it won't let you set almost anything up, including transfers, you also can't see any scheduled transfers ,Even after I used the desktop version of the website to set up and confirm external accounts.

Transfer option might only be for internal, not external, transfers. It said I needed a source and destination acct. It didn't show the 2 external linked accts I currently have in my online acct, nor did it have an 'add account' option. Check deposit didn't seem to work at first. Contacted Vio service and received help. Easy when you have proper instructions. Help screens not at all helpful. Poor UI layout.

You can't make any transfers from the app and it doesn't even give the account number anywhere. The website is not much better. I had to call customer service (who weren't very helpful) just to find out what my account number is so make sure you write it down when you receive your welcome email or keep up with the email (which I didn't). Pretty much the only thing this app is good for is to check your balance.

This has to be the worst app I have seen. U cannot transfer funds, even tho it appears in app that you should be able to. Even customer service agreed after she explained u have to transfer on laptop. It doesn't even show u your acct bal. It's reads as 0 until u click on details. Haven't used the deposit check feature yet and if that even works then they should just call the app Vio check deposit. That's about the only thing you can do. Unbelievable

This app has no capability to transfer from external accounts. If you need to transfer between internal accounts, it's not intuitive on how to do so (plus icon on accounts tab). If you need to do anything besides check your balance or deposit a check, you're better off using the website (preferably on a non-mobile device)

What everyone else says. Can't do external transfers from the app, but can't do mobile deposit from the web. App is currently saying it isn't the right version, but there are no updates in the store... Soooooooo I can't deposit checks at all at the moment. Also, no biometric, clunky password for site and app, just a shame.

The app info doesn't make this clear, but this app is ONLY for depositing checks. You cannot transfer money from, say, your external checking account to your high yield savings. That's very dumb. Kind of wish I had known before opening the account that, for my purposes, this bank effectively doesn't have an app.

The app is decent but the deposit function requires seeing the same tutorial every single time which is annoying. There's also no method of sending funds to another account unless you do a (very) old fashioned wire transfer. Lets be honeat its 2019. I appreciate the APY being great, but waiting a week for clearance any time i wanna move money in, and having a huge hassle moving it out is pretty rough. For that alone im considering switching to ally.

I updated to this "new" app as suggested by Vio customer service. This app offers limited account info. I had to guess how to access my 1099int info. Most importantly, this app offers no way to deposit checks. I have several checks I need to deposit without the necessary access. I made the mistake of endorsing my checks including the required "For Deposit at Vio Bank only" before logging in which now prevents me from depositing my checks elsewhere(another bank). Frustrating!

The authentication is horrible. Every time I try to login, it doesn't recognize me I have to login on the browser before it lets me in. Enable finger print sign in for God sakes, get with the times. This is a critique of the app, not the services offered, those are great. The UI could use some work

Sorry to say This app is terrible. You can't even transfer money into the account. There are 2 transfers... Make a transfer and make an external transfer. you need external transfer unless you have 2 vio accounts. You need to be on the web page for any transactions. Just easier to use the website

**UPDATE....I had to clear the cache and memory and re-enter my information and everything worked. App isn't working. I last logged in last week to check my balance and ever since then the app does not load properly. I click on the app icon, it states "loading", then goes to a white screen and does not load any information to input login information. Otherwise the app has been working properly.

This has been the worst banking experience I've ever had. I opened an account 2 months ago and made an initial deposit. I then tried to register for online banking per the instructions, but to no avail. I've tried time and time again and I still can't log in to the app. Now, I just received a paper statement from them with a $5 charge for paper statements, which I couldn't have opted out of because I can't access online banking!

Pretty useless app. You can check your balance, and that's it! It claims to let you add funds/transfer, etc. but it really doesn't. You have to do that on the website. It also has a fingerprint reader, but the app never recognizes your phone so you have to type the password every time.

Terrible app. Why would a bank make it difficult to deposit money? The menu for depositing a check or transferring funds is not in the typical menu icon. It's hidden behind a + icon. I found nothing intuitive in this app. The second star is for their interest rate.

Deposits checks - that's it. Just doesn't do much. Even electronic transfers between accounts requires that you go to the website instead. The website is fine, and the savings account is fine, but mobile app is light years behind Varo and Capital One.

The app is alright but not super intuitive and sometimes hard to find different features. Some things are only available on the website which also isnt user friendly. I chose this bank for the high yield savings. I would not use it for my everyday checking account.

The worse app and the worse online banking website ever. So got the app for 2 years but still missing a lot of functionalities that available through the web (no external transfer through the app for example). Yall didn't pay your developers to improve the app?

The app and website leave a lot to be desired. My external account is only listed on the website, not the app. There is no information about funds being on hold, just available balance. Considering all funds are sent from an external account and missing from that account, I don't know why anything is on hold. I have accounts at various financial institutions and this is the worst app. Wells Fargo, Discover, Citibank... take notes from any of them to correct this poor app.

You are unable to transfer money via the app. Frequently the website has errors preventing transfers too. The high percentage rate is useless if you can't add money to your account. I recommend a different bank unless they updated their app.

The app is ok. Very bare bones but seems to mostly get the job done. Main complaint right now is it seems I cannot make External Transfers from the app. I successfully linked an External Chkng Acct from another bank (process utilized the 'two micro transaction confirmation' method), but still no IN APP option to transfer funds FROM my Vio Savings acct TO my linked External Checking acct. This would be a MAJOR problem, however it seems I am able to make External transfers using the website. :/

Easy enough to use. Need to add what the current APY is on my account. Add it to the summary tab, along with who the beneficiary is, etc. Very basic app. If the APY stays at its current rate, this could be a great bank.
