This is almost exactly what I'm looking for in a practice app, and I can't find any others for my devices with features in the same vein as this. My only problems with it are that the library of songs for the viola is quite small (though there are plenty of lessons), and I'm unable to transpose violin/cello songs into the alto clef or import my own sheets as midi/mxl files. Other than that this app is great, and has lots of potential! If it was a bit better suited for viola, I'd give it 5 stars.
This app is incredible! I decided to pick up the violin after 10 years and this app is helping me find my notes again and to play the violin in tune. The app plays the song, scale, etudes, or exercises that you are working on- download from music cloud. You can play with it or choose the note by note option to play the piece on your own which tells you if you are playing it in tune (the best part). Plus most popular books found in standard curriculums are up for grabs. Hope more songs come♡♡
Looks a great project, but the notes appear way too big on tablet screen that you can only see a measure ahead. Please add zoom or size settings to make it more confortable to read on different screen sizes. Edit: landscape is okay. Thanks for replying. But if possible could you add more zoom levels and do it on portrait mode too. It would be much better.
at first it's great, but now, almost all of them used Chinese after updates, It's really disappointing. And also, we need to be a premium to do some audition.
Good app for practice but it would be welcome if I could select which input I want to use. For example I'm using an electric violin and would like to connect line-out on the violin to the 3.5 mm jack on my Android phone. Of course the phones that don't have any additional input would not show such an option. Bluetooth input devices should also be supported. This would make it possible to detect sound in a much more reliable way and would also negate any noise from the environment. Another option could be to also forward the sound to the selected output, which again could be speaker, earpiece or a connected Bluetooth speaker.
It helps my daughter practise the violin a lot, however there are not many pieces in the library. Can you please provide the instructions on how to upload sheet music and also can we use this app to practise viola?
Great app, really helps. I play viola, but I can read treble clef. Can't wait for a viola/cello update so we can use it more efficiently. I might suggest that perhaps we can put in our own notes somehow so the devs don't need to put our specific music in themselves, even if just a small passage we might want to work on. Thanks for this wonderful app!
Guitar Hero but for beginner violinist! (Or expert level players) I just starting learning how to play and picked up this app and downloaded a music book for free aimed for total beginners. My struggle is learning to read notes so the book/app taught me guitar hero style on how to read the note and translate it to the string. There are tons of free and paid books that you could use and utilize. Love it!
This app is great, and offers an impressive library/variety of pieces to play along to, but it would be greatly appreciated if you guys could add support for viola repertoire! I'm not a huge fan of having to sightread in treble clef every time I have the desire to use this app.
As an educator I am always looking for apps for my students & to challenge me. I am amazed at the quality of this app! My students can slow the 1000's of pieces of music to 20% 0r speed it up to 200% Lol for fun. It grows from basic OPEN strings to the most advanced pieces. If you're a student it's like you have some one next to you pointing out the notes & playing with you! If you're a parent, especially unsure of how the piece is to sound, this is for you too! Educator's WoW! It's FANTASTIC!
I have not even tried the all yet but I installed for violin. I was just shocked that it gave options for violin, viola, cello, but not bass. When I was in elementary school I played the bass. The backbone of the orchestra. A too important to not be included instrument. Honestly Im just nit picking. I think this is amazing that apps for learning instruments is a thing. Wish I had it back in the day. . . Feel bad for young basists now though. Get to it Violy. . . Dont be that person.
I couldn't sign up with my phone number ... the verification code text message never arrives. I managed to sign up using my e-mail address but when I try to join a group, my e-mail address is not recognised as a registered ID and I'm requested to download, install and sign up. Please advise because my viola teacher and I really want to use this app. Thank you.
I haven't used it much and ended up using a different tuner app. Dear Mango, I didnt like the tuner as much as the one I am using, sorry. I think The play along thing is great for learning a tune. Generally speaking I admire the app support you are doing but I still dont use it much.
Heart great app I just loved the features and is very easy to use
Can't say enough about this app! I love it! I also use it to practice Flute for myself and use several of the lesson to teach my vocal students! Also use for music theory ear and rythm training! Fantastic App!
I'm having trouble even just setting an account up. So I download the app, it loads up and shows a video of the ad that I originally found this app by, I press the sign up/log in button. Then it makes me put in my email or phone # to verify stuff. Sure. First I try my phone number. I never recieved the text. Hmm... maybe because I live in USA? I try my gmail(email) instead. I get the email, and put the number in. But it says it's invalid. I'm certain I put the number in correctly...
This is a really great teaching program, it's the best from any other apps. The only reason I haven't given it 5 starts is because I made a payment but they haven't opened the piece I paid for. Kindly if you can rectify this coz I plan on making a lot of purchases in the future, thanks.
it was great actually, but if u want to do audition, u have to subscribe >:(
its good for tuning but it doesnt tell you how to read notes and when trying the "audition" mode it always says im wrong even when playing the right notes edit: it makes a noise and stops the audition
ok so from my experience thus far the app except for interface smoothing nothing has changed and the sheet music dosent fit with nore experienced players who still want to learn more altough and best of luck to you
it is the best app I used in my entire life people should know how valuable it is to someone like me that loves viola but cant afford a teacher or a book. it has so many music sheets and you can play note by note even beside of a piano so many years I practiced by myself but it seemed so impossible that I quite after I find this app 2 days ago I'm progressing already :) if you read this thank you for making my dream come true hope you achieve everything that you deserve thank you
I like the app but it keeps closing in the middle if playing a song. I wish i could practice without it closing in the middle.
A little slow sometimes and try to make it sound more like the instruments. And it is not successfully using the rit. and the meno mosso and other things like that.
you guys should add a thing where you can search up any type of sheet music and download it for example I'm practicing a piece of sheet music called firework by Katy Perry and I downloaded this to try to practice it and I couldn't figure out how to do it or if you even offer it please add it and also make your videos in English too
Sometimes the app malfunctions and wont give me my score. Another thing that bothered me was that the repeats dont work in the evaluation mode. Also, I feel like it costs way too much. Overall, its a super helpful app, and Im glad that I found a tool like this. One improvement is possibly have a feature to scan your own sheet music.
