Stopped opening after the last update. It only works if I turn on my Wifi. Other than that it's good and very useful.
The demo won't download. Gets to about 85% loaded and then crashes. So, this thing does not work at all.
The app keeps crashing you can't really access everytime. I hope this gets fixed sooner.
Cannot open the app. It downloaded, but will not open. I see others are having this problem also.
Great app. Very helpful for managing classes & schedules while on the go. Two biggest minuses: 1) Alarm works sporadically. Some days it rings, others it does not. Got 2 overnight, short notice bookings, but didn't have an alarm. I slept through them and lost $20. 2) Up until this week, the e-Card feature has been working. Right now it tells me that it is unable due to system updates. Not sure when this will be available again, but this is a terrific way to encourage my students between classes.
This app is terrible and so frustrating! The alarm never works consistently. Sometimes it goes off, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it alerts, and there's no way to turn it off! And I am CONSTANTLY getting a false error message saying I appear to be offline, and need to check my internet connection. Yet, everything else on my phone works fine, and my internet shows it's running at top speed. Typical VIPKid behavior... something is wrong on their end, but you get blamed for it.
The app is very helpful to check for booking updates and looking over slides on the go. The alarm however has many bugs. It isn't consistent. Sometimes it's sounds and other times it's silent. And sometimes it won't pull up when its alarming to turn it off. I end up opening a new session of the app and then having to close it to finally get the alarm to stop sounding. I love the theory behind it, it just needs to be fixed.
There arw definitely nice things about this app. I like that I can always look at my schedule, I get notifications when classes are booked or cancelled, I can easily check my my pay, referrals and feedback from parents. However, I do wish they would change a few things. I wish we could add feedback to our students through the app. Although the alarm is nice, I've noticed in the last week I cant turn the alarm off. I usually just quickly turn my phone off so that the alarm will stop.
I LOVE teaching VIP, and I love how easy it is to open and close time slots and check my payment on the app; however, it only gets a 3/5 because when I go to do most anything else, it freezes. Although there are options for it, I am usually unable to send cards to my students, unable to sign it to substitute teach (which caused me to miss out on teaching and I lost money), and many times unable to view the materials on the app.
The job is fun, but the app is very frustrating. Takes minutes (not seconds) to open and frequently freezes. Alarm is unreliable. I have tried uninstalling and reloading a few different times with no chamge. If it were a gaming or social app I would have long ago deleted it, but since I need it for work I have to keep using it. I have come close to missing classes because of its unreliability. Improvements are definitely needed!
It's been almost two months with an alarm that I can't turn off without restarting my phone or force-stopping the app. I submitted a ticket back in November and they said that they would fix it "this month." Well, November came and went, as did December. Please fix the alarm! It disrupts classes when it goes off before a short notice booking the next class.
The app is mostly good, but there are some bugs that need to be fixed. I'm not sure why the alarms don't go off sometimes... I've learned not to rely on them, but my other apps don't have this issue. However, they do usually work properly. When I get the 10-minute alarm notification, the notification doesn't clear. I have to force stop the app to make it go away. And my "promotions" tab notification won't go away. I like that you can connect your schedule with google calendar. Works well overall
This app makes it easy for me to access my schedule so I don't miss any classes. Yes, for replacement classes of one that has being cancelled and then book I have to use the actual computer app otherwise I will miss it. This app is more like a reminder an hour or 30 min before that I have a class to prepare for. I also use it when I'm at work throughout the day to check my payment. Excellent app!
I love the app in general, but please fix the alarm. It takes me at least 30 seconds to switch it off. Two notifications appear at the same time, and only one takes you to the place where you can turn it off. It can't be turned off with a touch or swipe of the notification like most alarms. When I'm in class, it's terribly disruptive, because the sound plays even when the phone is muted. I will have to uninstall for now.
The alarms don't work -meaning it goes off after you have set the notifications not to go off and it doesn't notify you for class bookings even though you have it marked to do so. The app will not open it- makes my phone becomes stuck in a black screen for about a minute. You would think that they would maintain the app for the convenience of the teachers so they could check their schedule when they are not on their teaching device.
The updates back in November made the 15 minute class alarm less user friendly to turn off, which is disruptive during class. I have contacted their IT department... No change. It worked before, why did they change it? Also, the app gives errors about being disconnected from the internet even when successfully connected with an excellent connection. It causes a 5 second procedure to take several minutes.
too many glitches. they keep fixing things that aren't broken. It is harder to find things with the new layout, same with the website but the only reason I'm leaving feedback is because the feedback section and scheduling rarely to load and keeps telling me to refresh or run Diagnostics. When I run Diagnostics, it doesn't change anything. So like 1/3rd of the app doesn't even work
I have to uninstall and redownload this app about every three days, because around that time it will stop opening. It also says that it crashes when it's not even open, which makes me suspicious about what it's doing in the background. Working for VIPkid has been a mostly good experience. This app is awful.
Very intuitive, always making new features and you can open and close time slots on the go. You can also write feedback... I'm hoping they will let us fill out UA's on the phone app on the future, too. I have a 9 month old and it's super nice to look at the lessons I'm going to teach on my phone while nursing my baby. Love it!
This is a very helpful app where I can check and update my schedule and view classroom materials no matter wgere I am. I use it all the time and am very happy with it. There are of course a few differences from the computer app, but the mobile app is not meant to be completely the same.
Not a bad app but as of today, I can't open it and it keeps crashing.
Before updating the Aug 2, 2019 update, only the homepage was working. i couldn't access my classes, feedback, etc. It said it coukdn't access the internet. I get this message often and usually restarting my phone fixes it. But after restarting, nothing chsnged. So I updated and now nothing works, not even my homepage. I've tried using phone signal and wifi. Neither work. Also deleted the apl and reinstalled it. It no longer works at all. Please fix this app.
I have counted on this app religiously for my first class alarm as well as to complete my feedback but lately when you go to the feedback section to see when the feedback is due it says you have so many feedback to complete but then it gives you an all done error underneath so you are not able to see how much time is left before your feedback is due and you lose pay. I feel like the ease of use with the app has definitely deteriorated since the beginning....
This is so convenient and I wish the other companies I work for had it! The only things I would change are that I would like to be able to access the workshop calendar and I would also really like it if the feedback that we fill in on the app would include an area to send a message to the learning partner. Doing feedback on the phone is super convenient, but I end up doing most of it on the computer just for that reason, because I like to send a message to the learning partner.
This update destroyed the app. It no longer even starts up..
The app has improved since 2020. Still has a few issues with the message indicating "it appears to be offline". Clearly I am online if my phone connected to home secured wifi.
