Good idea for an app but rarely works or takes that long to display the channel list it gives up!
App ok needs lots of improvement, too many crashes! The most annoying thing is after setting up a series link or a programme to record it exits the app so you've gotta start the app again and start from the beginning! Very basic and very annoying! One would expect more from a £100 a month service! Definitely miles behind sky and as the price is almost the same now maybe it's time for a change!!
I have to enter my login details each time I use the app. Although it can connect to my account and I can see my shows, when I try to use the remote control it says it can't see the Tivo. Also cannot stream shows to the phone or play them on the TV. Only the TV guide works, but it's easier to have a listings web page bookmarked because of the need to sign in to the app each time. Pretty useless app overall, not worth downloading as it is clearly not fit for purpose.
This app is very unstable. When it works, it is brilliant and I use it most days. But the app will often stop playing what I am watching on My Shows and come up with an error message. It'll often fail to connect and if I allow the phone to go in to sleep mode with the app open, when I go back in to the app it asks me to log back in, even though I was already using the app prior to the phone going to sleep. All these bugs just makes it frustrating to use the app.
The app seems to work perfectly except for one annoying thing - the TV guide page has the top half of it taken up with a preview window which just shows a small thumbnail picture of the TV show when you click on it. What a waste of space and it makes browsing the guide much more more difficult with just half a screen to do it in. I see the screenshots of the app listed here don't show this preview window at all so definitely something wrong.
Absolutely useless since the update. It worked fine before. The guide flashed up momentarily then a box appears over the top saying reconnecting. I never found out if it did as I lost the will to live and shut it down. Have tried several times to use the app but just can't even get the guide up. I used to use this app regularly but now it's rubbish and unusable. Can you fix it please
Rubbish. I try to use the app almost every evening as I don't have multi room boxes and like to try watch whilst my partner is watching football. Won't connect to Wi-Fi, if it does it drops out half way through, have to log in again and again due to it constantly losing connection half way through every programme. Frustrating, disappointing and mainly waste of time!!!
the app is great..... when it works..... i spend more time waiting for it to 'reconnect' than i do being able to watch anything. And if it its not 'reconnecting' its displaying various error messages including 'unable to play at this time', 'out of home streaming is unable' (despite being connected to my home wifi and sitting next to both the wifi hub and the tivo box). Aswell as having to constantly sign in everytime i open the app (sometimes several times a day)
This app works, but is very slow, it takes a very long time to connect and load, and even after a long time to connect sometimes it fails completely. After the update the app is even worse than before, now when trying to what is next all you get is the message to be announced, it's even worse to navigate through than before.
After the latest update the remote now spends up to 10 minutes before it connects to the tivo box. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the app before the latest update, now I have to wait for it to reconnect whenever I accidentally bounce off the app. Not brilliant considering the 3 actual remote controls I've had have all broken within a month of having them. Please can you sort the bugs out before I end up throwing my phone at a wall.
The app connected fine after connecting the TiVo box to the home network via Ethernet. I have an old TiVo box and so I suspect it is not equipped with a wireless network adaptor. Otherwise, the app does what it says on the box and is far faster than the achingly slow ageing TiVo box. Result.
Garbage... Like most VM offerings, underpowered, under-engineered, under tested and under performs. Consistently tells me the VM box is switched off or in Eco mode. It isn't. It's switched on and I'm watching it, but this waste of time app can't connect to it. Without connecting to the box, the app is totally useless. Waste of time.
When it works, it's a dream. I can watch anything recorded on my box from wherever I am. That's when it works. Sometimes, it just won't connect. I'll check everything to make sure that the WiFi is working, the settings haven't been changed on the box, turn things off and on again... yet, just won't connect and sits forever on the loading page. Our contract is up soon. Not entirely sure whether it's worth renewing. We pay so much each month, and the system is unreliable. Such a disappointment.
The older version still works well as usual on my Amazon Fire, (which hasn't updated yet) but the new version, on my android tablet is absolutely appalling. It has several attempts to start, but keeps disconnecting. I've been waiting 5 minutes for it to start at this moment. And I find the new design very cluttered and puzzling. PLEASE can we have the previous version back!
So slow I give up trying. The TV guide takes forever to load up. Searching for a series takes so long that I just give up.
