A lovely and calming little game. It is the best digital plant simulator I have found with a wide variety of stylised plants. I only wish that you could store plants instead of being forced to delete the ones you want to remove, as it makes it hard to experiment with your designs and forces you to make a permanent one.
This is a very calming game and I like that plants grow real time. The only reasons I'm giving this four stars instead of five is because the rotating, zooming, and selecting plants is a little awkward and a little tricky. Also I wish you could change your pot color and plant name more than once. Once you set it, it's like that permanently. Other than that, great game. Happy new year 🎉
Viridi is a gorgeous game that I've gotten into the habit of opening every night before bed, to take a moment to sit quietly. Music & visuals are both wonderful, & it's rewarding to play even if you can't spend money on it. However... It would be great if there were a way to back up your progress to the account you downloaded it with. Currently, as far as I know, you lose all progress if you have to delete the app/get a new phone. Unless I'm missing something/it's changed since I last had it.
Overall, I enjoy this app. I've had it a while, and I appreciate that plants don't die if you forget check in. My only complaint is that when I switch to a new pot, the screen flashes very fast, and as an epileptic, it makes me really worried about seizing. I can't find anywhere that offers an option to turn off the flashing effect, and I would really appreciate if that could be looked into.
This is my favorite app of all time. I download it on every device I have. It's really slow paced as it is replicating the growth of plants in near real time. It is so relaxing and it has really helped me through some stressful times just vibing with my virtual plants and the music as we slowly drift around in space. And don't forget about our mollified pet snail. Absolutely fantastic app in all aspects. THANK YOU!
Been using this app for literal years. If you're looking for pretty minimalist graphics and soothing music to go along with it, this is a great choice. I like how nothing dies if you forget the app for a while. One thing I will mention is if you're not on it for a long time, the day/night animation can be strobe like & if you're photosensitive like I am, maybe look away for a minute until it's over
Beautiful game with beautiful music. It's not a heavily busy game at all, but is perfect for when you want to feel some accomplishment and get away from your daily stresses. There are always fun new subtleties to discover and appreciate. The game runs well but can get finnicky when placing plants sometimes. This is very minor and doesn't detract from the game experience.
This is by far my favorite app on my phone! Viridi focuses on doing their absolute best at just a few simple things, and the result is a beautiful and soothing little virtual garden that you can come back to as often as you like. I love the music, and the fact that you can zoom in on a resident of your garden to sing to it and get an update on how it's feeling. The snail is darling! This game is full of a simple soothing charm that has kept it on my phone for years. And no ads too!
Extremely relaxing game. I've used other apps for virtual gardens or terrariums with so many annoying and frustrating gimmicks. These features add so much more stress to the game in an attempt to keep easily bored people's attention. I prefer the lovely simplicity that lets you check in when you have a moment instead of having to stay on for long periods of time to get whatever silly reward. No ads is also a big plus. My only request is for the ability to rename a pot and more pot options.
The graphics are great and the music is very calming. I love how realistic it is for a plant simulation game. However, I am having some difficulties with the controls every time I water my plants. And all the good features cannot be accessed without paying. I appreciate the free seedling per week tho. Overall, a nice app.
Overall the game is nice. It's real-time and calm. I don't feel stressed to tap anything chaotically and I don't need to do much. However I've noticed that after my succulents bud they suddenly revert back to how they were when they were first planted. They all do it. It's not even gradual. I'll go to bed and wake up, check on my plants and they're just back to early stages after being fully grown. I looked for fixes online and it seems to be an ongoing issue. It's been going on for 2 weeks now.
Love this game. The only complaints I have would be there should be a way to get at least one free additional pot or something, the screen should able to switch to landscape, and the plants should be able to be put closer together. If the screen orientation and plant placement were fixed I'd give it 5 stars.
Very calming and surreal. My only suggestions to have the option to decorate the snail's shell with different paint colors and patterens (people paint them with acrylic paints to avoid stepping on them in gardens🐌) and to be able to select two plants to swap places with. Once the pot is full, its kind of hard to move them around.
I would like to have more than one pot (without in-app purchases) so i could plant all the seedlings i recieved, or at the very least be able to keep them and not throw them out forever when I replace them to grow another plant. But the graphics are beautiful and the music is perfect. One of my favourite parts is the snail.
I love the game it's nice to check in on everyday when I have a free moment but its so hard to open. It crashes as soon as I click on it to open it. It shows the ice water screen and immediately reverts back to my home screen which makes this very unenjoyable. I thought it might just be my phone but another review said something similar. I hope this gets fixed soon.
Really an aesthetic game. It will relive all of your anxiety and you will be trained to get more patience in life. But only one problem is you can't get to raise two pots of plants at a same time and once you decide the name of your pot you can't change it anymore. Otherwise it's all good 🖤
I love this game and have been playing it for years, my little plant pots make me so happy. Though, I'd totally kill for less restricted placement, top down view, and the ability to switch plants places without having to throw them out and replace them.
I have really enjoyed this game over the past few months. It doesn't require much attention and moves pretty slowly, which makes it perfect to be something you check one once a day or every other day. It's nice to see all your little plants grow up and your pot fill up. I did knock off one star because it is very difficult to move plants around if you have a lot of them. I'm afraid that I might be getting to the point where I'll have to choose one plant to get rid of for every one I add.
Really peaceful! I wouldn't call it a "game", but it's nice to check in on my plants every week or so. The music is calming, and I like how the camera bobs up and down as if with breathing when you zoom in. The only thing I'd add is a way to see all the past plants since I'm a little reluctant to replace them otherwise haha
Game is simple; water your plants when they get thirsty (every few days with most), plant new ones when you want, and rearrange them to make cool looking pots. Despite (or maybe due to) the simplicity, it's a really relaxing experience, and you get to watch your little succulents grow and blossom! 1 star is off due to the microtransactions. I don't mind paying a tiny bit to get more seedlings from time to time (support indie devs!), but I wish the other rooms were cheaper.
This is not actually a rating....I had to rate to be able to comment. I went middle ground because I have nothing good or bad to say about the game yet other than I'm having issues opening it to play it. It opened initially and I started my flower pot but now when I try to open it it looks like it's starting to open and then it just kind of blinks and disappears. Any suggestions? I'm technologically challenged. :/
Kinda boring. Needs a seizure warning. If you don't play for several days and comes back it plays a rapid requence time lapse of the time you were gone. This causes rapid flashing lights that could easily trigger a seizure. Please fix this
I love everything about this game! The colors and plants and pots are beautiful, the music is soothing, and I love the detail put into it. I would definitely recommend adding more places to grow (I've bought both additional pots) but other than that you have a lovely game and it's definitely become one of my favorites.
the game is amazing and good to play whenever I'm stressed or bored. the only downsides are how its difficult to move the plants around, lack of space, and in my personal opinion I think it'd be nice to have a few more plants. maybe some different colors or a cactus.
every time i get a new phone, i always find myself coming back to this. you don't see simplicity like this anymore, it's absolutely beautiful, endearing, enchanting, and lovely. you get attatched to the plants, and caring for them brings a subtle, warm joy, and calmness. not much, just enough, makes this so much.
I love this game, soothing music, pretty graphics, collectible plants. But lately it takes several tries to open it, and sometimes I have to give for an hour and come back. I was hoping it needed an update, but I can't find anything about an upcoming one. Shame.
It's very rudimentary, a welcome surprise. It's nice to just have playing in the background while you "sing" to your plants. No annoying ads, no bothersome interruptions. Just relaxation, plants, and poignant soft ethereal music. It's not difficult, complicated, or tedious. The rate of growth is fairly comparable to real plants. And it's nice to have something on my phone I know won't ever give me a headache. Bravo!
