One of the first permission questions to set up the App is a bit daunting. Looking for clarity before I agree to let Virtru "read, compose, send and permanently delete all emails." Does this mean emails will be deleted prior to using Virtru or while using it?
won't let me activate my account. definitely needs some updates it just spins and spins then tells me to try again or delete
virtru is quite transparent and effective. great product!
like that message is secure...wish it can be personalized not only for business users

No multi-account handling. Doesn't show which email account is used. No feedback function despite 'feedback' being written. Nothing improved the last 2 years. Very poor for a service I pay a yearly fee for.
Why must I use my cell phone to write a Virtru Email? Your program will not download on my desktop PC, I can answer one but not create.
Tried to install this several times to work with my Google email account, but kept getting Server Connection Failure during installation. Accessing my Gmail from the Gmail app and from Blue Mail, works fine. I have a Nexus 6 and Android 6.01 Addended: On 7/26 they sent me note that App had been fixed. I downloaded it and works fine with Android 7.1 on Nexus y
Stops working after every update. Seems to work, but no new messages arrive. ---- Update 2018.06.27 Problems does not appear on current updated version. Like. 5 stars - Love it 4 stars - Like it I didnt fell in love, sorry. :)
After more than three years of zero development this app continues to be a pig to use, even something as simple as deleting e-mail has to be done one - at - a - time with no option to select multiple messages. The service itself is good it's such a pity that the app is so badly designed.
Ugliest interface I've seen in a while.
Bad s/w. does not refresh mails nor gives notification. Forced refesh does not load new messages either.
Easy to turn on/off encryption. Will prompt you if sensitive data is detected. Easy for recipients to access encrypted message.
Was working ok but now its only intermittently sending (recipients inform me they did not receive email) and receiving emails (I am not receiving recipient email replys). What happened?
Sends a activation confirmation email, but then keeps "trying to activate"...on and on. No way to use it, which still ks because it's great in the desktop.
I have been using this product for several years on Gmail and recently with Outlook. Support is excellent and solved my problem. Very easy to setup. .

Excellent in both Android and Windows. Works seamlessly in Gmail.
Needs multiple account management. If there's a way of doing so from within the app it escapes me. Please advise.
Ability to attach files, not just pictures, would be great. Also, people can't secure reply via mobile without downloading the app—gives an error when trying. An overhaul to Material design is needed also.
Uses a ridiculous amount of data when I'm not even actively using it, and there's no way to turn it off because it runs automatically.
Wish it would support multiple accounts is all.
I find that this app is hard on battery usage. % of power usage is far more than the app need require, hopefully this will get resolved in very near future.
Works Great on my Galaxy S2 but would also like it on my phone. I get the activation message, but then it stops and gives me the opportunity to report the problem to Google. Will try to uninstall and try again, then update this review after that.UPDATE: still won't activate after uninstalling and reinstalling. Can this be installed on two different devices for the same email account?
Nice product once it is set up. A few more features will make it great for email control. Customer support was great.
Works great, please consider reworking the icon to look like an envelope please.
While the basic UI gets the job done it does leave a bit to be desired. My main problem with this app is that it is constantly running in the background and my phone is always yelling at me to manually shut the app down. Sometimes if you do not manually shut it down, you receive a system notification that "Virtru has stopped working". This is annoying and obtrusive to the workflow.
