Virtua Tennis Challenge

If you like scripted games, this game is for you. Always the same scenario: If you are too strong for the game, it will ever find a way to beat you. My last match was 4 sets 5-0 before the CPU finish to beat me 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 6-7. It's simple, when you dominate, it suddenly refuses to accept your tries go put the ball where you have kick it. Right? Left. Left? Right. Not possible with direction? No problem, let's the CPU doing super shot again, again and again and modify the direction! A joke.

What a shame for Sega. I never saw a so stupid behavior of play ads even before you ever try the game. I tried to make the tutorial and even after the game start we have ads. To make it worse, I can't skip them even if I visit the advertisement app on the Google play, also can skip even after watch the entirely ad. Same for any option of the game. This is so dumb. I love to play this game in the arcade. If It could be possible play it in my cellphone I could even think of buy it. It is a lame.

Really good game. Probably the best tennis game there is on android. But, there are still a few problems. You can only play (and re-play) 3 tournaments a day. This is frustrating as it takes more time to take the career further. The controls have become worse than before. There are times when I am tapping on the designated buttons to hit a shot, my player does not take the command and misses the ball, as if giving away the points (and sometimes games).

This game is probably the best sport video game I've ever played on this platform. The control doesnt feel responsive at times, but the graphic and the gameplay made it up for the problem. The tournaments are fun, but it'll get boring overtime. The coins are only used for tournaments and the multiplayer required people to turn on their bluetooth and make a small room instead of having an online multiplayer game where you could play with other people across the nations. Hope they can improve this.

Once you reach a certain level, players just have to win a set/match, despite you playing better. The quality of the player suddenly improves and he can do things he couldn't do before in the same match in the 1sr set. I believe difficulty is there dor a reason, no need to change an opponent's capabilities just because. Even your controllers suddenly don't respond to your finger which is amazing. I have been testing this for a few weeks now and it always happens in clutch moments.

I love the game honestly. The controls are pretty bad but one can get used to it. The 1 star rating doesn't reflect the overall experience but the ad integration in the game. You're practically begging for play time of you don't pay up the ad-removal fee. The ads even disguise themselves as black screens and throw you into the play store if you try to escape. I'll watch your ads if you play nice but if you try to be greedy, you're not worth the space on my phone.

The bluetooth multiplayer mode is a sham. The ads pop up after each game and the connection drops because of the ads. I understand the need for ads to show but if it results in the game being unplayable, it makes no sense to play the game. In a way, the user is forced to pay for the ad free version and that too on both the mobiles on which Bluetooth mode game is being played.

I'd easily give this game a five star rating but for one gameplay absurdity and one really annoying bug. The inability to save a game mid - match is a major feature that is missed sorely. Its inclusion will be much appreciated. The bug, however, is massively annoying. I have the ad-free premium version of the game but whenever I move out of a networks range, the game somehow forgets this fact. When I reconnect to a network, it reverts back to the 'free' version and starts showing me ads.

Absolutely fabulous game play, with excellent graphics, which are just right for a game and not too much to handle. The tournaments are well constructed, the courts play differently, the ranking system is challenging and it can get very competitive, especially if you pick the Hard level of difficulty. Moreover it's a lot of fun and a great stress buster... Great work on it, thank you for making this so well... Kudos!

Nice graphics and good gameplay. I've been playing this game for years but I think I'll add one more star if the money gotten from competitions are not only spent on entering the competition. If it is possible to make provisions for other wearables such as a variety of the player's kits that'll be nice. Also, there are no status bars to show how the player has developed so far, hence it is not possible to know the players strength because only that of the opponent is shown.

4 stars for the gameplay and graphics. Best amongst all tennis games here. The Ads: It's inevitable, unless you pay. So, a simple tip - When you start getting the ads, just go to your home screen and open the game app as new (don't close the already existing tabs) and it will resume the gameplay ignoring the ad. To the developers: Could you introduce "Challenge" decision? It will be more interesting in that case. Also multiplayer over online rather than Bluetooth is more realistic! Thanks!

I had been playing VTC since ages. The multiplayer mode over Bluetooth is highly unreliable even after so many updates.The game shows 'Lost connection' after one set gameplay. This occurs every single time. This is always my go to real time multiplayer sports game. This has to be the closest tennis gameplay the world has ever seen on mobile devices! It's a humble request to you please fix the bugs and kindly add multiplayer over WiFi. Adding doubles multiplayer over WiFi will be sweet!

I loved this game and I played before without ads, but it's so frustrated for me when one ad comes out, there's no skip for that ad and I could just watch that ad until the end of time. There's no option to come back in the game. I wasted time to play. I almost finished the match after 2 sets and 4 gems and that ad just appeared without skip button and I can only close the whole game without any game save. I played one match 3 times because of this issue and I really quit now to play anymore.

I still think Virtua Tennis' swipe mode is the best way to play any tennis simulation game. However, we need to be able to find a way to spend our winnings in the game. New clothes, shoes, customized racquets, cars, houses, restaurants, vacations, businesses etc. This way you can open up the game to more targeted sponsors and the players get to enjoy their winnings

I NEVER write reviews but I had to on this game. It is an actual shame this one. The graphics are very good, the format is realistic and professional feeling and their us plenty of different options making it nice and flexible. All in all quite impressive but...what happened with the in-game controls?! OMG! UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING!! If only the developers had got the controls right, this would be one of the greatest tennis games ever. But they didn't and it completely ruins the whole experience

It is so annoying. I purchased the ad free option. And after that too, every time I start the game it requires internet connection. It is so irritating as you can badically either play it home or with mobile data but then the battery power is consumed very quickly... Also most times it will show the ads till you press "purchased before" option. Can you fix this issue. Thanks

Absolutely appalling A.I in the game, especially when reaching the finals, and playing against certain players (Theron Tenniel). The game suppresses your players abilities during certain matches, so the computer opponent will win. The computer opponent also starts to possess abilities that would otherwise be impossible to execute. This is unacceptable.

The game is overall good but becomes predictable and mundane after some time. What I don't really understand is the concept of rankings and seedings. Usually in a tournament the top seeds meet each other only in the latter rounds. But in here the first 4 seeds may end up playing each other as early as the second round. Its not rocket science, but a very simple logic to arrange the tournament draw based on seedings.

The best tennis game on mobile. But the problem is sometimes the opponent overpowers me even though I play well or I got points the similar fashion in the same match. It's so infuriating. I try different strategies and those don't work either. Better training is needed for the hard matches which wasn't provided.

By far the best tennis sim/game of you're looking for something a lot more substantial and satisfying than the cartoonish Tennis Clash. I remember the Virtua Tennis PC games and this seems to be a really nice port of it, so good memories intact especially the motion capture and swing actions. Controls take a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it plays seamlessly. The only thing I'd like to see an improvement on is the net play aspect where there's a volley option.

Really good gameplay with simple&easy to learn mechanics, although the drop shot is a bit hard to pull of precisely, which leads to both player&opponents open volley. Graphic is amazing for a mobile game, with multiple replays to boot. The modes are fun enough, but it'll be better if there is a tournament for doubles (i really enjoy this). AI is a little bit easy though, and there's a big gap between top 10 and the others even when i play on Very Hard. It'd be great if you can fix those problems.

The game is challenging when on very hard mode, but you can win most matches. There are not to many ads, and you can become a top player with all the modes. The exhibition matches are also cool, there is doubles and singles and they can be even more Challenging. The only problem is that you can't save the game if you started the match.

This is the best tennis game I've ever played on android. I would pay for the ad free version if they impliment online multiplayer option. Multiplayer for doubles could be real fun as well. After the recent update, overlay ads are covering the controls. Also, any ad of more than 15 second causes bluetooth disconnection. All match progress is unsaved and lost. Please show some respect for the efforts of the game developers. Thank you to the developers Goodbye to Sega Uninstalling.

If you like tennis games,.look no further, as this game is the hands down best tennis game out there. So realistic, great players with different styles, great courts throughout the globe, and is a challenging play if you have it on very hard. Been playing this game on and off for 5 years, and I keep coming back to it as its totally excellent. Plus its totally free. Fifa and all those games that greedily want every penny off you, please take note. This is how to do a sports game!!

Mario Cruz is almost unbeatable! Almost ended up breaking my phone in frustraion while playing against him! His concentration gayge fills up in about 3 returns, while i need several shots(hard hitter) to do the same. Plus the player just freezes many times for no reason while returning the ball or while receiving the serve. Ths AI plays chicken till the final set and just starts winning straight games and before you know its tie break already. 4 stars because still very amazing and engaging.

To everyone out there complaining about controls: SWITCH THE CONTROLS TO VIRTUAL GAMEPAD AND USE AN XBOX CONTROLLER Love it. But, I wish you would expand upon it. I need more things to do in it because I've dominated this game for years on its hardest difficulty. I've done everything there is to do. There definitely needs to be more to do. I'd even pay a buck or 2 for a big expansion because this is an amazing game. This is one of the best mobile games of all-time.
