This software is able to connect my devices across my home network without any input lag (PC to Mi Box S). I connect a keyboard+mouse and an Xbox One controller via ms official dongle. With the Xbox One controller, I can use headphone audio (why I need the dongle) - with all other methods to use this, I had 1-2 second audio delay but with VirtualHere there is no delay at all. Also, since the devices connect to my PC natively, there are no conflicts with Android keyboard shortcuts.
VirtualHere is awesome technology. I tried several other products that promise to do the same, and nothing really compares. I use it to bring USB devices to my cloud-based virtual machines. Couldn't work easier. It really is a well-polished tool. Licensing is a bit of a mess though. I understand that the developer wants to make sure they get paid per user. It wouldn't be fair, if a single license would end up being used by hundreds of people in a company. But tying the license to the hardware is awkward. I change my Android devices quite regularly, and for that matter, I change my laptops frequently too. I can take all of my other software with me, except for this one. $50 isn't a lot for a great tool, but things start adding up, if I have to pay $50 every year. I don't get *that* much use out of this tool. I need it maybe once every other month. For Android, it would make a lot of sense to offer a "pro" version of the app that includes the license key, but that is tied to the GMail account rather than to the client hardware. In the meantime, I bought a GLiNet MT300Nv2 and installed VirtualHere on there. Works beautifully. I just wish I didn't have to carry it around with me and could use my current Android phone instead.
Really good software, works fast, reliably and without issues, unless Google decides to bring in new bugs with Android updates :). But the support from Michael is always fast and helpful, and he uploaded fixes for mentioned Android related issues pretty much the same day they were discovered.
Great app!, does exactly what it needs to do and offers a perfect workaround for getting USB devices in the cloud. Very very happy with it.
Worked for me, well for the first time only, i used it to connect my xbox controller to xbox adapter, first time it worked like a charm! 2nd time the adapter couldnt connect with the xbox controller and the 5 times trails has expired.. also the application is overpriced.
After some effort I managed to get this working with an xbox one wireless adapter on my nvidia shield + steam link app. That said, a $50 license is absolutely not worth being able to get a single game controller to work this way. Alternatives are sparse but the pricing limits it to only be worth it in very niche scenarios.
Not worth the cost of the license. Trial period is not nearly long enough and the dev is extremely rude, not to mention greedy. I've asked for help multiple times and get ignorant, unhelpful responses. For software that I PAID FOR ON MULTIPLE PLATFORMS! I've supported this dev more than enough. Someone better get humble before it's too late...
Works for my razer mamba but not my corsair k57, nothing can be done to fix it 🥺. $25 is way way too much, maybe $5. I also have to restart my shield pro after each use because the software can't actually stop. Like I said $5 seems about fair for an android application that sometimes works and has major flaws.
An absolutely incredible app especially for gamers who want to use their controllers remotely. The developer is very responsive and helpful, absolutely a great product!
I was getting excited to use this app and test it using software to connect to vechiles. unfortunately testing it on my computer with a flash drive used up the trial period. I dont even know if it will work for the intended process now before I would buy it. Michael, was there an older version which allowed more testing before buying?
Bought because amazing. Request: please find a way to get Oculus Quest hosted by android VH server and the client on any other computer working. So we can remotely acces to the oculus device remotely without having a computer connected to the oculus (as they are all in one many poeple dont have a computer physically)
Installed on a TCL Android TV as server. Minor bugs. The support team is very responsive (reply in less than 24h) and helped solving those problems.
Forgets default settings every time my device starts up. When it works it works, but at a steep price for the abysmal amount of effort the devs put into UX.
great app! It would be better if we can transfer of google play license like if my smartphone breaks, it registers to hardware is a con.
Works great on Galaxy Tab S7+ ! I use this to be able to play my Steam games with a keyboard and mouse via Steam Link android app (for some reason Steam Links mouse support makes playing FPS impossible)
Really awful. Used it to share Asus BT adapter from android TV to a pc for remote control. Just freeze randomly, commands get stuck. Really useless. Unfortunately bought Android licenses and can't refund it.
Doesn't work with bluetooth paired devices (nvidia shield tv + xbox controller). Tried to use it with steamlink (app purchased) but it was a no go.
After 7 tries its useless. What is the point of such a limiter other than to make you pay or uninstall. Waste of time.
Worked fine, but license is currently $25 on sale (usually $50). seems extreme for what this is.
Funny this is a great app. Share your USB devices with others.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! AVOID if @ all possible read about bad customer service in other reviews. VIOLATES STORE rules sells a nerfed product here and refuses refunds! Please Google pull this product from the market! Developer tries to avoid Google Play fees here's a email where developer admits it. " I am not allowed to say go to my website for a better deal (google rules) so those who ask via email before purchasing i can encourage them to go to my website to get a better deal. "
it would be awesome if I could buy the license through Google Play so I can use Google credit I have saved
This has the potential to be a very useful and exciting app. I'm looking forward to trying it out as soon as I can find the time to do just that.
Amazing service, eliminate all input lag that I had before.
How to make this work as client? I came here to get my device on pc to be virtually connected on mobile but reverse is happening... Please help.
Thi is the best software to remotely use a USB device.
This app is one of a kind. Very easy to use & connect things together. Everything feels nice & polished & rather geeky. There are minor delay in input registering, but that's probably due to the lag in the network. It would be great if this could have android clients as well as in An2An remote, then it would simply be perfect. Also if possible, bluetooth connections would be nice too, since they seem rather stable compared to wifi. Thank you!
