12May2022 - App performance has not improved (09Jan2022). It's still slow to load and I can't use the doorbell vid or arm/disarm in a hurry. I had multiple occasions where it seemed to load and failed, I had to do a complete restart including reentering my password (even though the "save password option was on)..all of this sitting in the car on the driveway. This app continues to be my biggest security risk.
This app is always glitching!!! Now it's showing connection errors. Most times I can't get to the page where I can remotely arm/disarm the alarm. I always have some kind of problem every day!!!
I have never had satisfaction with this app. Connectivity is a major issue that seems to go ignored. Many other issues such as self arming or disarming. Have relayed all this to ADT. Am always telling ADT they need to walk away from this App and the DMP technology.
Great functionality. Much better than the texting of the past. The graphics for armed/disarmed help a lot, as well as the widget control.
We have had this app now for almost a year and are not satisfied. The app is slow on opening and downloading. It's 2022 and the technology should be much better than this. The notifications are delayed on receiving.
I've really been enjoying this app. I love that I can double and triple check wether or not I armed everything and the notification that someone disarmed it is super helpful! It even lets me know if a water sensor gets tripped so that's awesome!
The latest update made it worse. Now takes longer to connect and sometimes you have to force close the app a few times in order to make it to work, sometimes I receive the alarm notification a day later.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it turns itself off, sometimes stays on. I'm far from happy, and definitely do not feel like my home is very secure. Having to do a 20 minute rain dance in front of my house to get a signal to arm the alarm system is not my idea of a good time.
Constantly slow for over a year now. A lot of times the connection times out over and over. Almost a year later and not much better for $8 a month. 6/30/2021. It's embarrassing and very time consuming to call the alarm company to ask them to disarm my system so I don't wake up my family when I come home. The delay speed in the app is between a dial-up modem and 3G network service. Update 1/4/22: The app was updated 12/23/22. Service isn't any better.
This used to be a reliable app to remotely unlock or to secure your home from your phone or iPad. Now it is no longer connecting to the system with neither phone or iPad. I am no longer happy with this app. 😡
Frequently can't connect and times out a lot. I definitely don't recommend this app. They need to spend some money and hire a professional developer to design a new app. Start over and get it right.
When it works, it works great. Here lately, we haven't been able to use to app. It will not let us log in and it has not been notifying us when the alarm is set or turned off.
This app is great! Especially when you forget to set your alarm when you leave home. Or come home with your arms full of groceries or packages. You just disarm your system before you get out of your vehicle.
My experience has been really bad lately. It is very slow to connect and u have to delete and bring back up.
Glitchy takes multiple tries to log in to my system most of the time. I usually have to force stop on the app sometimes 4-5 times to connect
The app is slow and outdated. Takes a long time to log in and load video feeds. Can't connect to smart home services like Google Home or Smart Things. Wish I'd gone with a more user-oriented system but it's too late now.
Simple user interface, easy to navigate, and no issues in the year that I've had this app so far
It never opens. Ever. Times out every time. Worst app and alarm company in history.
Terrible app. The very little that it does work it always force closes, or connection timed out error 95% of the time (which renders the app useless).
Usually works well but is not uncommon to wait 20 or 30 seconds for app to open so I can arm/disarm. This has happened with 2 models of Android and an I phone so is definitely not the phone😐
This application needs some serious updates. It crashes alot saying it's die to a bug. Cmon DMP!
Slow! A horrible app. Has not consistently worked. Always an issue.
The app is extremely slow to load. Can the developers find a way to speed up the connecting to the app? This app loads as if it were connecting via dial up internet. The problem isn't my home internet or mobile provider, it is the app. Another thing, if someone has accidentally set off an alarm, the app will not let you disarm remotely. THIS is Terrible, please find a fix! Otherwise, the app does the basic things it's intended to do.
Pretty good app. However I am very disappointed that I can't disarm with a voice command. Before I linked my Schlage lock to Virtual Keypad I could unlock with a voice command followed by a voice given code. Now that it is linked I can no longer do this. Very disappointed! That is the reason for 3 stars. The whole point of automating my home is to be able to do things with a voice command.
So many issues with connectivity, and inadequate customer support. Opening up the app, there's a 90 percent chance (not exaggerating) that it will just say "connecting" indefinitely, and then occasionally fail and prompt me to login again. The only thing I have found make the app even remotely work is to reboot my entire phone. Extremely inconvenient and unacceptable. I don't understand why they cannot fix this issue that has been noted by other users as well. WHEN it works, it is not bad
This is pretty terrible app, considering the additional cost from my security company. I've dealt with it for over a year now and don't have the option to change. The are sometimes huge delays when sending system commands. You're often completely unable to login to the system. The camera feeds are poor quality and trying to look back at older footage is a futile effort. It never works and always times out. My system is directly connected to gigabit fiber so I know that's not the issue.
Functional, but very basic. I'd like to see customized preset and timed options for setting the system. Like all windows 7a-9p, full lock 9p-7a. Manual override optional, of course, but being able to set up customized arming options or leaving specific areas always on would be great. Being able to put those on the widget would be great too. Lots of room for improvements on the app, but it does provide basic functions.
Very archaic (or maybe my alarm company sold me their cheapest DMP model) system. It looks like Virtual Keypad hired high schoolers to develop its software. Not very intuitive; if there are multiple entrants on the system, when it arms, it does not record whorelate. (who leaves premises). I know I am talking two things here, but they are related. I am very disappointed. It is not what I expected.
