Vision HUD is an Android application that uses GPS data from your device to calculate your instantaneous speed with precision and prompt it to you as a digital or hybrid analogical-like graphical speedometer into the screen of your device.In HUD mode it projects an upside down image of the speedometer that can be reflected onto a glossy area nearby, such as the glass of your car's windshield. The effect of this is a floating image, much like an hologram.It is not only useful (as you don't have to look away from the road while driving, for example) but also perfect for people wanting to give their cars a more stylish, sportive or high-tech look. Among others uses, it can also replace a defective speedometer or (in speedometer mode) be used by cyclists and runners (armbands or another type of support are advisable).It supports MPH, Km/h and Knots metrics, shows incoming SMS messages on your car's windshield, has lots of colors and skins, is very accurate, has speed limit alarm (configurable) and other features.

Works flawlessly on my S3. During the day I only use white or bright colors, dark colors are near impossible to see. During the night this app makes every color shine! Only suggestion I have is to make a widget for launching directly into the HUD or speedo.
I bought the no ads version as it's worth it. Also note, as it uses GPS to calculate speed, this is accurate. The reason is car manufacturers automatically lower your speedo by about 2-3 mph to ensure you don't get caught by cameras when you go past them at the appropriate speed.
Ads display during hud mode. Thats irresponsible imo. I know you can pay, but don't offer a free version with the ads.
It really works but only use at night or your phone's screen will die
You should make maybe 2-3 modes for speed limiter that you can change on click. Eg. 60 in the city and on click to change on 120 for highway. Keep up with great work. Cheers.
I just bought the full version. Test it in my window in home. Message look good. It was way better if all this could be projected from Torque with all the displays. Over all good. Can't wait to try it in the day time.
Off by an mph or 2 on the speed and the gps took a while to connect but its cool. Like the look a lot.
Keeps on searching the satellite on my s3. I live in the philippines.
Nicely customizable. There are better and worse free HUD apps out there.
Great app... I love the sms readout! Add more features such as voice commands so that I can use my voice to call my contacts!
Good idea, but too much advertising and does not read whatsapp messages.
This is the best HUD I've event used with a cell phone! It big and clear and so customizable... Easy 5 starts in my opinion.
I love it, would be better if you add directional GPS function to it.
Great app! I love it. But is there any ways to calibrate the speed tracker? I found that it is 5 km/h slower than the real speed

I like the concept, is this a night time only app? I know that may be a dumb question but it doesn't say, so I assume it can be used in the daytime too. I have tried daytime but I couldn't see the HUD reflection. I will try when it gets dark as I'm sure it will be better. Be interesting to see if this suffers from the double image due to modern windscreens being laminated. I like the idea of sms popups not sure its actually a good idea to focus on the windscreen instead of the road ahead when an sms comes in. I HATE the Memeniacs layout very bad Idea, Analogic is good, the rest meh! The "Number Change Animations" are cheesy, I opted for "None." The font choices could be better, I like the Modern Times Font and this works very well with the Analogic Layout. I unchecked the "Use One Color For All(Except Layout)" and chose... Speed Color: White. Layout Element Color: Orange Clock Color: Light Blue Unit color i.e "MPH": Light Blue although Orange also looks good. The Speed warning limit is useless due variable speed area's like 30mph, 40mph etc. Going to give it 4 star because the app can only get better especially with a positive fan base that gives good criticism.
