Visit A City

Please check after new update..the app is not working...I tried reinstalling many times but no luck...could you help me with that..

Amazing app that I use every time when I'm traveling. Especially if I don't have enough time to plan the trip, I can just follow one of the built-in plans or add something specific if I want. There are information even about some small towns which is great. The schedules of the public places were always correct (at least before the quarantine). You can book some tickets there as well. Absolutely love it!

We recently used Visit A City to plan 3 back to back trips - Portland, Seattle and Vancouver. It was a great tool that we could share and put things each other liked on each day and discuss. The mapping function is indispensable - especially if you've never been to the city and don't know where things are located in relation to each other. The "Go" function integrated seamlessly with Google Maps and we were able to use public transportation exclusively in Portland and Seattle.

So it's okay. It helps that it shows you where you are going in a nap view and you can search for things to add to the itinerary. You can reorder things relatively easy. I like that I can see about how long it takes to go to each place. However, when you add to the itinerary there is no way to change where they put it until it's added so you keep having to rearrange stuff and when you share it, it only shows 1 day at a time. It's also irritating that you can only out in the amount of time at a place but not the time you'll be there. It just auto times it based off of when you start. Overall, is okay for now but I'm trying to find something better.

Excellent app! And it's free! Wish I'd discovered it earlier! it gives you itineraries for the number of days you want to visit but you have the option to change it or add to it as you wish. Gives you opening times and suggests duration of visits with option to add breaks. You can also have a whole trip review on the map of the city. It can be offline as well. Brilliant!

Useful app for many important cities around the world. But it has, however, too few cities. Take, for example, Turkey: there is a guide only for Istanbul, but none for other major cities in this big touristic country. Only a list of paid activities in those cities, but no attraction list at least. There is a lot of effort to create a guide, I know, so keep up the good work!

I've really enjoyed using this! It's great for planning tours and excursions when the choices become overwhelming. I've used it for San Diego and San Francisco, and now using it for our upcoming Hawaii trip. Some functionality could be improved on, like setting times for activities, because I use it as a guide and not as a strict itinerary. Overall, great site and app.

The concept behind the app is great and provides a lot of info on the attractions and activities. But it is not a share-friendly tool. Even between two users of the app, there's no good way to share. One generates a link and can send, but the other person can't use the link to simply add the plan. It just doesn't seem to work. Perhaps should consider adding a collaboration function similar to TripAdvisor. The App does also seem to hang quite a bit. Pity!

Useless for visiting a city. The map view is super slow, many sights in the plan are not being shown on the map. No routes at all!! I can't even see a blue connection between the sights on my route. How am I supposed to get from one station to the next without seeing a route? I don't want to switch to google maps all the time or else I can just use maps alone for everything!

Perfect for trip planning. Start an itinerary and customize from multiple sights and activities recommended. Once itinerary is started, items are added to a select day of your trip, with a duration at site, and an idea of transportation between sites included. From there you can customize all information and organize in any order you'd like. There's even a map and list view. This app is free, easy to use, and highly recommended for any planners!!

looks like a great app but it could definitely be made easier to edit and delete custom itineraries. it's like you need to have already written down what you want to do and when then input the data rather than use it as a tool to figure out your day as you find new things to add or remove. this review seems a lot harsher than it is. I really do like the app. attraction options and navigation is 4.5* creating custom days and having a play about on it in preparation of trips is 2*

Very handy app! I've loved using it so far. The only thing I would say is when moving an activity from one day to a different day according to personal choice, it would be useful for the app to rearrange the other activities in terms of travel to and from it, as it does that in the first place, as I then struggled to rearrange the day to make most sense. Other than that, very useful app! Would recommend.

Really enjoy using this app. Very customizable but pretty good with the sights already listed. Used for several trips but last trip to Zurich had a problem with accuracy of the info. There were several museums listed that were closed or relocated. Itinerary had us going to a museum in the morning when it didn't even open till 2pm. To top it off, that one was closed. From now on we will check the actual website prior to leaving for our trips.

I wish we could start the itinerary from the airport on day 1 instead of from the hotel. I hope we could add multi city trip in one itinerary. For example, I want to stay in Tokyo on day 1 until 3, day 4 until day 7 I want to go to Osaka. It's disappointing that this app doesn't allow us to add 2 different hotels in one trip. This is a good app but could be better if you could add options like I mentioned above. Thank you.

This is a great app. The only two things I don't like is the notes on each item of the itenary. You can edit the notes or read the fill notes made in the app. The only way I've found to read/add/edit them are using the website. If using website on mobile it will not let you login into your account and wants to redirect to the app for everything.

I have been using the app for quite some time. I have to say using it through the computer is way easier, since the last update that has made it a bit unfriendly to the user. Please change it back. Otherwise my go-to app for all my travels, since I can add more sights in each city, even if they are not on the app.

The best travel app I can found. It helps me plan my trip just by adding places that I want to go and it will organise it for me. A little bit tweak here and there, will make it perfect. Suggestion: can add more than one hotels in one trip (check out from hotel a in the morning and check in to hotel b in the arvo), can create my own plan rather than editing existing plan from the app. If all of these are in the app, I'll change the rate to 5 stars! But overall, love the app. Great work!

Very useful app. This app allows you to plan a multi-day itinerary in some detail. You can take one of their plans and move attractions around to suit. Just a few small improvements would help: 1) Ten day trip maximum is too short 2) Be useful to be able to have a fixed time for attractions or reservations so that changes early in the day don't cause a domino effect 3) Should be able to change ge hotels to allow a multi-city trip or a stay st the airport hotel before departure

This is a great idea and the app is pretty flexible but it doesn't allow you to add things that don't show up in their selection of events. I used it to plan a trip to LA and it helped me to see options of activities that I didn't know to look for, so that was helpful. However, because we ended up doing a number of things that weren't in the selection, I couldn't use it as an agenda or guide once we were in LA as I had hoped. I did not have any probs with it crashing like others stated.

This app helps to plan what to see in a city. It helps to understand how long it might take to move from one place to another. But it do not give information regarding local transportation like which bus or tram to take. It would be a great help if this app can take the spots one wants to visit then suggest an itinerary showing local transport to take to move to next spot.

Visit A City is an extremely useful app for trip planning. The #1 feature is its ability to automatically arrange stops by proximity to limit the extra walking back and forth. It allows you to make your own by highlighting what you want to see but also has suggest itineraries for a number of different days and styles.

I travel at least once a year. I like planning ahead. I used to map our days using Google map. This is so much better. The itineraries are saved and pull up any time with the app. It also provides suggested itineraries. I did not give it a 5, as there is room for improvements. Did I mention is free?!!

Very useful app, I liked that you can edit the itineraries and that the opening hours for the museums are at hand. Would have liked the posibility to switch between whole days and not only places one by one. Be very careful to double check closing hours though, although the app gave us 19:00 for the Colloseum, in January the closing hour is 16:30 so we were unpleaseantly surprised.

Superb app. Makes the travel itenary swiftly. Few improvements and bugs needs to be addressed. Day trip programs do not get added into the itenary list. Sometimes the itenary takes timings wrongly, eg. My Vienna itenary was showing timings throughout the night, or sometimes it doesn't consider the closing times or the ideal visiting time for a particular place and fails to plan the place accordingly in the next day schedule. Also few access and navigations can be improved for ease of planning.

this is such an amazing app to be able to organize your complex vacations. There is so much information embedded in the venues at the very instant that you add them as attractions you'd like to go to. I just organized 4 days in Rome in a snap. And now I have it on my phone, can share it with my sister, can take it into Italy, and it will be perfect.

VAC has helped me to experience major sites in major cities (Paris, New York, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv) without the assistance of a tour guide. I've been able to save lots of money by using the app to assist with selecting restaurants and in providing transportation options. I'm never lost nor without options when touring major cities. I'm so glad to have discovered this app.
